I would not recommend this place unless you like cold food and long waits. We waited for a table maybe 15 minutes and that's ok. There was a party of three that came after us (party of 2) and was seated ahead of us. We waited to get coffee. We were told by at least 3 staff members that our coffee was coming. It finally arrived but it was horrible. We ordered our food and it arrived another 30 minutes or so later, super cold. I ordered a side of scrambled eggs and it looked as thought it was an omelette and then chopped up.. really bad. I also got the half order of the biscuits and gravy. This would have been good hot except it was cold.. this place is not worth the wait or the price. Don't waste your time or money here! read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by because we wanted to check out a new beach community (Nye Beach). We were very pleased with the meal and especially the staff. Everyone was attentive and very pleasant. I ordered the turkey and cheddar sandwich on sourdough bread. Good size sandwich with a decent amount of sliced turkey with lettuce, tomato , cheddar slices, and onions. My girlfriend tried the regular breakfast with a thick ham slice for the protein to go with scrambled eggs and hash browns. She was very pleased with the food. If you are looking for a nice little restaurant for breakfast lunch or dinner this is a great spot. read more

We came by for dinner on a Sunday. Husband saw hours said it was closed, but Yelp has it wrong. They are open on weekends 7am-8pm. The food is still out of this world amazing!! Don't miss this gem! This place used to be the BOMB! Perhaps due to COVID, things are more challenging for this business? Breakfast sandwich with sausage was good, bread was a bit burnt and it wasn't anything too exciting. The French toast with Marionberries was not great. Drowned in jam and heated in a microwave which resulted in a roof of mouth burning. Ouch! Coffee was weak and they don't have espresso. The local crab specials are off the hook! Yum! Crab cakes and or crab omelette for breakfast? Yes please!! GREAT service. All using strict COVID protocols. Friendly and helpful staff. I'd try again for sure, perhaps when things return to a more normal time. read more

Walking in, this place was a bit small for our 9 person group, but the staff were extremely accommodating!! They pushed tables together for us and continued to make sure we were doing okay! Wow wow wow! I only tend to write a review when I am stunned and the lovely family of NBC have truly stunned me in flavor and kindness. I could be happy eating here every morning but life keeps me to once per week and it makes my day every time!! Claudia and her chefs have flavors down beautifully and I'm never disappointed. This place is amazing! We arrived around 11:00 on Sunday and it was really busy. You add your name & number to a list to get a table. There was space ar the bar so we sat there and watched the kitchen activities and the gazed upon the yummy baked items. Their portions are very generous and delicious. Interior is well maintained and clean. Sturdy chairs and tables. Lots of windows gave good light to the entire restaurant. Breakfast wait staff was quick, attentive and friendly. Probably the best wait staff experience I have had in a few years. Filled drinks often, delivered all meals at the same time. Chatted a minute or two with us but left us alone during our eating - except for drink refills. Menu had vegan options. I chose the breakfast burrito. The wait for four meals wasn't very long at all. My burrito had many different textures and flavors. I really enjoyed it. The flour tortilla was soft and warm. The salsa was house made with fresh ingredients and very good flavor. Generous portions! Can't say enough about this place! The owner Judy is an absolute delight! Her restaurant is definitely going to be a weekly visit for us! We came in an hour and a half before close on a week day and the only disappointment was no chowder to try. We totally understand why (house made) so we likely will be back since our entire party enjoyed the food and service. Such a colorful beautiful cafe! Beautiful art everywhere. We were welcomed in by a friendly staff member and all staff were attentive and interactive w/ their guests. It seems they also work really well together as a team. Our food and drinks were amazing! We both had a mimosa w fresh oj and warm flavorful coffee. Love their coffee mugs, too. I had the Chile relleno plate and the flavor was truly wonderful. We ordered the French toast to try and we both loved it! Arrived at 11 am and put our name on the list to be seated - let the gal know we would be waiting outside, she estimated a 15-20 minute wait time. At 11:21 I received a text that we had been added to the wait list. We watched a party of the same who arrived after us be seated. An adult from the party went in to check on our table and ask to use the bathroom- she was directed to a public bathroom down the street (really!?). At this point it had been 35 min and we were watching table after table clear out...still no text. Yum! While the Nye Beach Cafe is small and not set up for large groups, their food is great! We came in for breakfast and found a table scrunched up next to their coffee bar? It's a strange little spot in the corner where you can refill your coffee and where they have a small fridge for other drinks. Anyway, we ordered the breakfast bowl and the french toast. I wouldn't classify the french toast as traditional french toast, but it was very good! My husband felt it was too sweet but he still enjoyed it. The breakfast bowl was fantastic, makes me wonder why I haven't done it myself at home. It was such a good mix of flavors. I didn't need the tortillas they served with it, it's just fine as a bowl.
