My family and I have been going to NYPD pizza for quite some time. We missed it when they were closed and transitioning from one location to the other. Trey and Carissa have worked at both locations and are absolutely fabulous! We come in with our dogs because they have a dog friendly patio and it is a fun way for us to take them out. The staff is always welcoming to us and our furry family members. The pizza is amazing every single time. My family is from northern New Jersey, so we are kind of pizza snobs. They consistently pass the test here. It is a little on the pricey side when you compare it to places like dominos (yuck) but it is 100% worth it. My only complaint with this business is the new location. I am not a fan of it. I liked the old location better. The patio was a better set up, although it was smaller, and the inside felt more intimate and provided a better dining experience. I will not take any stars off for the location, though, because I am giving the stars based on the food and service I received. read more

The service at NYPD has gone down hill. I went to this location with my friend and everything seem to take forever. The waitress didn't know the menu at all. When I would ask a question she would either make me wait 10 minutes for an answer or take my menu and look. Shouldn't you know this stuff off the top of your head? My friend works in the resturant industry and was very unhappy with our experience. On top of it all, when our water glasses were empty they would sit there for a good 20 mins before they got refilled. I used to go to the Union Hills location and I loved it. But this reopening at this location...I doubt I'll be back. Take your money else where people!! read more

We got them delivered tonight. Their breaded chicken is amazing, the alfredo is pretty good too, but the chicken parmigiana was pathetically portioned. It came with like 15 noodles. As long time patrons of the 83rd & Union Hills location, we were a bit lost after that one closed until the new one opened. At first, the new one on Bell didn't have the same feel as the old one - a lot more modern and lost the NY feel. But they have more than overcome that with the current waitstaff (many we recognize from the old location). Several weeks ago, we were served by Denitsa who made recommendations for two of us that were not sure what we wanted for dinner that night. She spent time with us, introduced herself and engaged in an enjoyable conversation. As we were leaving, she asked our names and offered a personal good bye and thank you that was obviously sincere. About two weeks later, we went again and this time were served by Becky who was also very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu items. She also spent time talking to us and before the evening was over, we felt we had known her for years. During this visit, Denitsa came to our table, said hello and actually remembered our names with minimal prompting. Also on this visit, Tatiana (who we remember from the old location) stopped by to thank us for coming back and asked what we thought of the new location and how our food was that evening. The food here is always good, reasonably priced and served quickly. That can be said for quite a few restaurants in the area but the atmosphere created by the staff raises the experience above any similar establishment. My wife has brought home pizza from here a couple of times. It's pretty good. I stopped in to have lunch there for my first time today. They weren't busy, seemed staff adequately. However, I sat at my table for 10 minutes without being approached or greeted. A manager spent five minutes talking to one table, went to the back and joined the huddle of the other employees standing around doing nothing. So I guess they get a star because the pizza was pretty good, but I wouldn't stop here again for lunch. read more

The food and especially the pizza here is amazing. First time at this location since they opened and we weren't disappointed. The only drawback was they were WAY understaffed. Our server , Denitsa however kept her cold and was amazing. Have to say while we did wait a while to get our order she always tried her best to make sure we were taken care of. I felt really bad for her but she really did the best she could with the amount of tables she had and the lack of help. AMAZING! Hector was our server and he took very good care of my mother and I when we came for lunch. I wasn't having the best day but having the experience I had here today changed my mood for the better. The food was delicious, highly recommend the crispy mozzarella and the banana fosters cake. Two managers also checked in to our table to make sure all was well. The quality of the crust, the quality of the toppings and cheese make there pizza pure awesome! Somewhat disappointed with this place. We had to wait for an hour for a 8" pizza. The pizza was over seasoned and was a little burnt for my taste. I asked for ranch and they never brought to me. I ordered the same pizza I usually order I always order it well done because there are several toppings on it and if it is not well done it is very soggy. When I arrived to pick it up it was already cut and in the box but not well done so I asked for it to go back in the oven they did but could not get it back in the box and ruined the order so they asked if they could make another pizza in 10 minuets I asked if they could not get it well done in 20 minuets how would that happen in 10? So I requested my money back. I was excited to see a new NYPD open on Bell Rd. I decided to stop in and give it a try. WRONG WRONG WRONG. I ordered a medium pizza and 6 cheesy garlic knots to go. Then I was tol thay it would be 30 minutes. I figured I would make the bezt of it and sit at the bar to enjoy an adult beverage while I waited. I figured wrong there also. I'm 26 minutes into this adventure and still haven't seen or spoke with anybody. I used to live across from the NYPD in Scottsdale, loved it. This was NO WHERE near the experience. We ordered the Sunday special, large 16", 1 item pie w pepperoni, dozen wings (Hell hot & NY style). Good wings, but the hell hot are not that hot, so if you like spicy, get these vs NY style. The Chelsea salad was good too. The pizza came out piping hot and it was delicious. Crust was great and the cheese was delicious. Our server, D. I. brought us extra ranch to dip the crust in, she really hooked us up. This is the most authentic NY style pizza I've had in AZ. This was a great first visit.
