I have been getting food from NYPD since they opened. As a Long Islander NYPD does the job mostly right. Their pizzas are great. New York pizza places have a bit of a different kind of variety and special pizzas that NYPD doesn't have. But I've tried a few different special pizzas at NYPD that are incredible. My family has even gotten catered food here a few times for special occasions and the food never disappoints. One flaw is that they do tend to make mistakes here and there. So I think they can do a better job being on top of taking down orders correctly and not mixing anything up. But overall I would 100% recommend coming here for pizza and Italian food for a New York fix. read more

Still the best New York style pizza in Arizona in my opinion. However took home a large salami and sausage the other day and had neighbors over for pizza. They never tried NYPD before and were very impressed. New customers for sure. I like that I can order online and just go pick it up. read more

Nypd is one of our favorite pizza places to go. I am a fan of thinner crust pizza, as opposed to thick crust. This is one of the reasons that I like nypd. The pizza always tastes great. I'm not sure that I have ever had a pizza that wasn't good. I have always had pizza when I have gone there so I can not comment on their pastas. I have had their zucchini and mozzarella appetizers and they are both very good. This time around we have the zucchini. Once again it was very good. My wife and I ordered the Brooklyn family and it was, as always delicious. One of the best things about NYPD is that on Wednesday's kids eat free off the kids menu when and adult entree is purchased. My kids both got the pizza bites, which is just a slice of pizza cut into pieces. To close out the evening you have to have the Zeppolis. They are pretty amazing! read more

Boy has this place gone downhill since the move from Union Hills. I went in tonight and sat at the bar. The place was not busy, perhaps 3 booths. It took 10 minutes before the manager, on his third trip past me, asked if I'd been helped. I told him no, so he wandered around the bar to take my drink order. He came back a few minutes later with my drink and ready to take my food order. I had a "Free 8" Pizza" birthday coupon. I asked him, as I have done for 3 years, to sub a small Al Capone calzone instead (same menu price). He said no, he would have to charge me an additional $3.50 for "toppings." But they both have the same menu price? Hmm.. Anyway, I just got the pizza and left. Maybe because I was alone this year. This was the worst NYPD I've been to in the valley, Our server was rude and and the pizza took 50 mins to get to us and they were empty. Not to mention the NYPD pizza in Scottsdale offers eggplant and this one obviously has a different menu, not very consistent for a pizza chain in the valley. The flavor of the pizza was off and the sausage was like globs not sliced sausage, something I would expect from a dominos. Forget this place it's a disgrace to New York Pizza. What's with severs not knowing where the food goes ? Which person ordered what, how hard is it really. My first time of using GrubHub. I'm assuming they got it here timely.The pizza was cold, and soggy in the middle. I had asked for it crisp. I threw the middle inside in the trash. I frequent NYPD , the one on Dysart and McDowell in Goodyear quite often but I've never ordered for delivery. why in the world they would add big soggy sliced tomatoes on top so it was soggy from the top to the bottom When I called NYPD complaining about the pizza, at first they blamed it on GrubHub but since it arrived in less time than I had originally been told,I don't believe it was GrubHub's problem. I believe that while the pizza was sitting there they were looking for a GrubHub delivery person and that's where the coldness came from. When I told him about the middle being extremely soggy I was told that when you have more than one item, 2 at the most, it's going to be most likely soggy in the middle which my response was, then why would you sell those items for delivery? why wouldn't you notify the customer that due to so many items on the pizza which you offer, it might be soggy in the middle, which they didn't have an answer. even though I have enjoyed NYPD on dysart in Goodyear in the past I would never ever order for delivery. It's nice to have fresh food but they should offer at least free bread or something small while you wait. Currently sitting here watching others get there meals before me. I frequent the scottsdale location a lot and the service is always amazing except for today at this arrowhead location. The blonde headed man waiter was so rude. He didn't check up on us... two other groups were getting served faster than we were. He slammed down my drink. I finally have had enough I'm calling a manager over. Update* Brittney the manager came over. I asked her if she could find us another waiter and she volunteered her self. She turned this whole evening around for me. Her friendly smile and friendly demeanor just made me feel comfortable again. Our food and drinks came promptly and she was just perfect!
