We just moved into a new house and had issues with our hot water heater and the kitchen faucet seemed loose... called Benjamin Franklin plumbers they came out for less than 5 mins told me the faucet needed to be replaced, charged me a trip fee of 6o dollars and left. Three days later a leak started under the sink and when I turned on the disposal for the first time it sounded like glass was in it... They were able to set up an appointment within a few days and were very polite/professional over the phone. A few months after moving into my home , within the Lost Creek community in Allen, we encountered a slab leak. I had numerous plumbers survey and quote this job but did not feel confident giving the go ahead to move forward with any of them due their process and cost required to complete this job. Most would outsource the excavation (breaking the slab to access the defective pipe) which drove the price up. It wasn't until Eddie from OBryan plumbing had come out to survey and quote. Eddie is extremely familiar with this neighborhood and had successfully repaired numerous slab leaks that were similar to my case. Cost and time to completion was estimated at roughly 35% under previously attained bids. So i decided to move forward. Eddie, along with another knowledgeable hard worker, Everett, arrived promptly and got to work. They busted up the slab, replaced the defective copper tubing, back-filled the hole with dirt and cement all within 7hrs while staying within the original quoted cost. These plumbers are great! Great price and better service than any plumber I've ever hired! We had the main waterline replaced to include all the home being rerouted with PEX. A few days later I called the actual plumber that was at our home about a few concerns for the job they completed earlier. He answered and scheduled a time that worked for us the next day. Our toilet flooded our house and we called multiple plumbers trying to find a company. Within half an hour, the plumbers were at our house and immediately solved our problem. Even though the problem was that we were complete idiots and our supply line had detached from our toilet. They didn't make us feel like idiots and gave us an estimate for the repairs if we needed to contact them again. We honestly probably will, but we wouldn't hesitate twice to call them with another problem if we ever experience this again. read more

I called this plumbing company to come out for a bad water heater. The young service techs that came out claimed they could not tell what was wrong, why the heater was bad but simply said it looked to them it was installed wrong. I asked them, as a plumbing company, could they fix the problem as they said existed? I asked if they could determine what was needed to be fixed and changed to assure me that the new heater they wanted to install was going to be installed correctly? They said they could not tel me that because they did not know what was wrong? Amazing! All I got from them was a new heater is $3,200 and we can put it I got an answer of no. We =do not know what the other plumber did, we cannot tel you but we can charge you $499 up front and $179 an hour to diagnosis the matter. You have got to be kidding. I then asked they could install the new heater, they said yes for $3,200. I told them I could buy a new water heater at Lowe's or Home Depot for a hell of a lot less. I need a qualified plumber not equipment salesmen and installers. I asked them again, why would I allow you to put a new $3,200 heater in my home if you could not even tell what went wrong with the three year old heater, what connections were possibly done wrong and how they were intending on preventing it from happening again with the new heater? How could they tell me by installing the new heater that it would work, not repeat the failure of the only three year old heater I had now. They said, we cannot assure of that and gave no one answer other than we can charge you an estimated $750 to tell you that answer! I said, you are not a qualified or professional plumbing company but a sales team selling equipment and asked them to leave so I could call a real plumber. What a freaking joke. read more

Once I even had a crew that wasn't going to charge me because they weren't able to completely repair my problem in one call, although they were able to resolve the crisis. Before I called O'Bryan Plumbing I called Plano city water.They were able to tell me if I had a water leak or not and if it was inside or outside by looking at my water usage hx .They said I did not have a water leak inside for sure but my usage of outside water usage was very high which was probably due to my settings on the irrigation .when I checked, it showed it was set to go off 3 x a week at 4 am.we thought it was turned off .When O'Bryan Plumbing came and checked for leaks inside and outside, not knowing there was not a leak inside and only a small possibility of one outside, returned with a verdict that there was not one inside but on the outside a valve needed to bed replaced. Just 2 days before I had a different Plumbing co. tell me there was a"99.9 % chance there was a leak in the house under the slab and wanted to do an expensive test which of coarse I declined(this company has the word "Green" in their name). Just to say there are dishonest companies out there too. O'Bryan company are very Honest but not cheap.The crew are very professional. read more

This was my second time to use O'Bryan and again they did not disappoint. I had a toilet that was leaking so bad I had to turn off the water. (not to the whole house, but just the toilet) Anyway, I called that morning and they sent somebody out. The plumber who came said that since the toilet was so old and rusted it would be better to probably just get a new one, which I agreed. He went a got a new toilet that morning and by noon he was done installing it - actually I think it was before noon. Everything has been great since - no more leaks and all is well. This is a long delayed review, but we've used O'Bryan twice now for very different issues and both times we were really pleased with the service. For one, they are genuine and honest. I put a lot of credence in that because for home repair work, you are often at the mercy of the expert. Second, they do good work, which is important for the obvious reasons. First time we had them come, we had a sudden and major issue with tree roots in the plumbing pipes. The break was under the house's foundation, so they needed to tunnel under to get to it. To make matters worse, turned out our house sits on large amounts of solid rock, which meant they had to literally jackhammer the tunnel pretty far under. I found the whole process pretty terrifying, but also impressive. They fixed the pipe, installed new toilets and repairs some drains in the tubs. All done quickly and with care. Without getting into the details of it, the ordeal leading up to needing the repair was incredibly stressful, and O'Bryan's team seemed to genuinely want to help. Second time was about a year later - suddenly weren't getting any hot water. Turned out the heater was leaking into itself and needed to be replaced (which at 15 years seemed about right). They were able to come the next day and install the new one. Very easy and fairly priced. read more

If you are looking for an unreliable plumber who does not show up as promise, go with this company. I would rate 0 stars if that was an option. We knew we had a heavy leak under our kitchen sink in our crawl space. My husband crawled under there, took a video, knew the exact problem. We offered to send it to the company in advance. We scheduled O'Bryan to come out and took off work to meet them at the house on Monday. After looking only at the video we previously offered to send, the technician said he didn't have enough time to do the work that afternoon (it was only 2:30 or 3). We had to call and schedule another time and the first available was Wednesday. Meanwhile, we cannot use our kitchen sink or dishwasher until the leak was fixed. Our arrival slot was 11:30-1:30. We took off work again to meet them. They called and said they were running behind but would be there at 1:30. Then at 2 they called back and said, sorry can't fit you in today and the first available time slot is next Monday. I understand running behind, but completely refusing to do the work twice in one week is unacceptable. What a waste of our time. read more
