The fried to onion ratio was perfect, complimented by the creamy ranch dressing made it a hit. The wings are as advertised, a true can't miss. That being said I ordered the spicy garlic wings, which came out cold as if they had been sitting there for a while. On the other hand the honey mustard wings are to die for. The flavoring and meat on the wings was all there. Our server was a gem - she was funny, helpful, and made our first visit a memorable one. We had taken a Thursday afternoon to treat Mom for lunch and heard good things about O'Bryon's. I had the Pub burger, and it did not disappoint! Mom had a sandwich and my wife had a salad. Nobody left hungry, and Mom had a to-go bag with her! Serving sizes are definitely generous! I have to say the Onion Rings are on point - I don't know what kind of batter they use, but they were absolutely fantastic. I know it's a little weird to mention, but I also really liked the pickle spear - a little spicy, and more than just an average dill - you'll see. I have lived in Oakley for almost 9 years now and I really don't understand why I never came here until this summer lol. This bar is located on Madison in O'Byronville not far away from where I live. Been here now at least 3-4 times. This bar is a hidden gem. I usually go on Sundays in the afternoon/evening. Almost always sit on their rooftop patio. They legit have the best food here as well. Their wings are very much legit. I get them breaded with medium sauce. Extremely crispy! Still have yet to try the Shark Tank yet. But will eventually! Give it a try. read more

If you crave crispy, perfectly done wings with a great homemade sauce like I do, I challenge you to go to O'Bryon's and disagree with me that these are among the best in the city. The habanero ranch sauce is one of the most unique sauces at a wing place in Cincinnati. Be ready for some serious heat though - this sauce is made in house and some days it is on fire! They also offer a 'southern style' (a seasoned, breaded wing), that is awesome with dipping sauces on the side. They have a nice beer selection to go with those wings. If you're in the mood for something other than wings (but seriously, why?) the rest of the menu is good too. The upstairs patio is a fun spot of a sunny summer afternoon. Huge TV's in the bars, free self serve peanuts. It's also one of the few spots in town that I really feel like attracts a diverse crowd. There's regular people and Notre Dame fans. Haha! (But it is actually a big Notre Dame bar, so you might want to check the schedule first). Sitting in between Hyde Park and Walnut Hills, O'Bryonville pulls from both and on any given night, you'll meet someone new at O'Bryon's. P.S. Did I mention the awesome wings? We were so sad to hear that some restaurants had to close during the COVID-19 pandemic, but so thankful that O'Bryon's was able to stay open to serve the community. I rarely post a negative review but service last night was abominable and rude from our server and manager. We waited over an hour for our food and saw several other patrons seated and served after we arrived. When we asked about our food we were first told it was backed up because of a large party upstairs. 20 minutes later it was because they ran out of an item which we actually saw served to others while we were waiting. When we decided to leave we were told the food was being cooked. We were lied to, hungry and very angry for having our time wasted. We asked for the manager who offered to comp our drinks and give a gift card but whose attitude was very indifferent, insincere and negative. He didn't even ask the waitress what the problem was and she was standing right in front of him. Our family of 4 won't be back and caution others not to go to this place unless you plan to spend hours waiting for your food. read more

Came here for a last minute happy hour with friends. This wasn't my first visit, but it was my first time coming for food. No, I didn't get the wings (smoked chicken isn't my fave) but I will say they have pretty good happy hour offerings. The tricky part is getting your order in before HH ends. O'Bryon's is almost always packed and each time i've come, it's been difficult to get service anywhere away from the bar (and that's tricky too). O'Bryon's "Irish" Pub is all right if you don't expect too much out of it. If you expect a basic neighborhood watering hole with some halfway decent food at reasonable prices, you'll probably be quite pleased with it. Expect anything beyond that, and you're going to be disappointed. As others here say, there's not much "Irish" about O'Bryon's, unless serving Guinness and (french-fried) potatoes counts. There is lots of light beer, big TVs with sports, and typical sports-bar food (sandwiches, wings, etc.). What I've had has neither been particularly distinguished nor particularly bad. The beer list is not very exciting, but it does extend somewhat beyond the mega-domestics. Surprisingly enough, considering the long-ish row of boutique-y shops that comprises the rest of O'Bryonville's commercial stretch, O'Bryon's is currently the only straightforward restaurant on the entire drag. It's housed in an old storefront, and it's got some old-school charm (big picture windows, exposed brick walls, a decent-sized bar, etc.) but not an abundance of it. The pub seems to get a decent mix of folks: college kids, older folks, folks from the rather lower-income neighborhood that abuts O'Bryonville, etc. This is a good thing in my book. Overall, O'Bryon's is an okay stop-in that's nice to have on this side of town, but it doesn't offer enough benefits to compel us to visit very often. read more

We love to pop in here to watch a game and have great pub food. They have a wings and quesadilla combo that I am in love with. The boyfriend loves the potato skins. They are more like potato buckets because they cut the potato down the middle instead of lengthwise. That leaves lots of room for cheese and bacon goodness. Ask for your wings Cajun and finished on the grill. They do not even need to be tossed in sauce. They are so full of flavor. The blue cheese dressing is also the real deal. It is full of big chunks of cheese. This is also the kind of place you can eat the peanuts and toss the shells on the floor. In the summer you can eat on the rooftop patio. Just don't ask for peanuts up there they have been banned. There must have been some sort of peanut pelting incident. We have been going to this place for years. Food is always great and hot. Servers are always sweet. Beer is always cold. read more

Probably a decent place to watch a Red's game and drink a beer, but I can't recommend the food. I ordered the Chicago-style beef brat with fries, only to be very disappointed with my choice. The charred brat looked had been grilled way too long, the sauerkraut was flavorless, though the sauteed onions and peppers were tasty. The fries were just standard. My boyfriend's buffalo chicken wrap was okay, though the buffalo sauce tasted only of Red Hot. I overheard the waitress tell the table next to us that the fish was fresh and hand-battered, leaving me momentarily jealous until the dish arrived smelling anything but fresh. O'Byron's is awesome. Plain and simple. There are two separate bars to help accommodate a lot of people. The bartenders are fast and super-friendly. The guy that was my bartender last Friday was talking and laughing with the us the entire time while still doing his job. It was great. Lots of beer and liquor. My only, and I mean ONLY complaint is that the food could be a little better. It's still pretty good, but could be better. I think if I ever moved to Cincinnati I would come to this bar a lot. read more

O'Bryon's was my McGee's away from home. OB's is an Irish Pub that hosts Ohio State game watches on the behalf of the Cincinnati Ohio State Alumni Association. I found information on both the alumni website and OB's about coming here to watch the Buckeyes play TTUN. We arrived just before 11am for a noon game time and there was a line of people waiting outside. The cool drizzle didn't deter these dedicated fans and I was glad we showed up when we did. This being our first time here, we followed the crowd as they walked up to the upstairs area. We quickly grabbed a couple seats at the bar as most other tables were already reserved. The TVs were behind the bar with some other screens located towards the back of the bar. I got the stadium mug that was $10 for the mug and $1 refills. This is a good deal if you are going to be here for 4 hours. We ordered food as well and everything was good. I had the quesadillas and they were really hardy. I normally finish what is placed in front of me but there was just a lot of food on that plate. Finally, due to the success of the Scarlet and Gray, every time the Bucks score O-bombs are $3. It's about time for me to review this place. I've been several times as I now live close by. The Mac and cheese and the fries are delicious! Mac is white cheddar and super creamy. The fries are heavily seasoned. My only somewhat negative food comment is the fish in the fish and chips was a little too wet and soft. It made it seem a little soggy, but I would still try this again as I feel like it could have been a one off. They have a great rooftop patio, affordable drinks, and good service! Stopped by here the other day with one of my coworkers for a drink and an app. We sat on the rooftop and it was SO nice! They had a chalk board with their draft list and a wide variety of cocktails and crafts as well. We started with the great white drink that had vodka, a white claw, and sprite which was delicious. You get a souvenir cup and a little shark with it. Then we shared the spicy cheese curds.. YUM. They were deliciously seasoned, came with a side of marinara (but were sauce lovers so we got a side of ranch and buffalo as well). Our server was so cute and sweet and on top of everything.. always had full waters, she was very knowledgeable about what her fav menu item was in each category. Very relaxing, good tunes, and perfect spot to meet friends for a couple drinks or with family for a meal. Want to try their southwest wrap so will def be back! My fiancé and I have been going to o'bryons since the early stages of our relationship and have always loved it. It seemed only fitting that we'd have our engagement party there. We rented out the top floor and patio and it was the best decision we could have made. Our guests absolutely loved the space, loved being able to mingle inside and outside, and having our own bathrooms and bar. The catering menu made it really easy to order and our family and friends raved about the food. We pretty much knew what to expect with food and drinks BUT we were blown away by the attention and care we received from all the staff. It was truly above and beyond. My initial interactions with Morgan, who helped me through the scheduling process, ordering food and answering all my questions were absolutely amazing and so helpful. We had several team members help us the night of who were also equally wonderful, special shout out to Max for taking such good care of us throughout the night. We had the best time. Great local bar! The chicken tenders are the best I've had in Cincinnati and their fries are amazing! A lot of people think their wings are the best, and they are good, but I was told to have them finished in the grill and THEN they are the best. I went here for Happy hour with my coworkers. The waitress was really friendly and suggested a secret menu way of having the chicken tenders. I forgot what she called it but the tenders ended up really crispy (in a good way!). I had their shark tank drink which is one of their signature cocktails. It's basically Sprite and vodka and they put grenadine inside of a plastic shark that sits in the drink. You pour the grenadine in the drink and it looks like a scene from Jaws. I would definitely go back, the happy hour specials are pretty good but get there early, they get packed! read more
