Delicious! My coworkers wanted to come here for lunch and what a treat! SO good and will definitely return. I ordered the Kebab Combo, perfectly grilled chicken (SO tender) served with Basmati Riceand side of Dal Makhani. The Dal was AMAZING! I could not stop eating it. One of the coworkers ordered the same and the other coworker had the TIKKA MASALA -- which was equally delicious. I can't believe how tender all the chicken was on both dishes. The buttered Naan was light and flaky -- not heavy bread. SO so good. I ate way more than I wanted to.......and will be back for more. read more

I love this place! Have only had it for take out though! I love their butter chicken, cheese Naan and their samosas! This place so good and flavor full but the customer service they need to smile more and the food is fresh but they take a little too long. I hope then owner will correct this and make the employees smile and be nice. Hopefully they will be more proficient in having their food prepared and ready for online orders and pickup too. I don't like give bad reviews so I will rate the food 5 stars for now and check again later how the service is change. I hope they will change for good but many owner they don't care about training, they ownly care money so we will see soon. Placed an order on their website at 1:09 PM on 31st December for a pickup at 6:00 PM. Reached the place at 6:05 PM and the person at the counter tells me that the order has been picked up by Dasher as in DoorDash guy and tells me to contact DoorDash. When I show him the email that the order was placed on their website and DoorDash he starts looking again and tells me that there is a mixup. Then he goes and tells me that the order will take 15 minutes to prepare as the order was placed at 6:00 PM. I show him the email confirmation that the order was placed at 1:09 PM instead of 6:00. Response, he can't do anything about it and it will take 15 minutes. Unprofessional and arrogant. Never again. I am really sad that my last review of 2022 had to be this. read more

We had the achari paneer tikka here. It can sometimes get spicy, but it is generally a great flavor. These are large Paneet Tikka pieces (about 1.5-2") ... I offered 25 pieces for $50 for a small party. Seemed slightly expensive, considering all the options around. The order was ready in time. read more

When you walk in, you know you're in the right place right away. The aroma just hits you in the nose. Not knowing much about most of the items on the menu, I needed lots of help and patience from the guy at the counter. He recommended chicken murgh nazakat and garlic naan, and I concurred. The main dish was really delicious. The creamy, yellowish sauce was rich and flavorful. I'm sure it had lots of other species that I didn't know about. And the chicken was super moist and tender. The naan was just as good as the main dish. It was so toasty, garlicky, nicely charred and lightly greased. Dipped in the creamy sauce, it was just heavenly good. Wished I had more naan. The menu has many other items, including one of my favorites, mutton biryani. If you like kebabs, you can try their chicken kebab. Last but not least, you'll also find a variety of curries, such as tikka masala, makhani, and korma. If you still have room afterward, you can try a dessert. Seems I forgot a few times to update the review....oh well, my bad. Ordered Chicken Biryani, some Garlic Naan and my sister had the Lamb Biryani, some Pindi Channa (small) and some Buttered Roti. As usual, I ordered my dinner extra extra spicy! Perfectly cooked and seasoned! My sister enjoyed her Lamb Biryani without any spices...but as usual with Indian food...some creeped in on her. We just enjoyed some more of our dinners from last night (HUGE portions!) and the second day, they were even better. Even the Garlic Naan. Not my favorite. I just started eating Indian food this year. I have a pretty particular palate and my stomach is very sensitive to certain spices. I've been looking for the best Indian food spot (to me) and drove all the way to Plano for this spot after seeing it on D Magazine's list. I wasn't very fond of the butter chicken or the butter naan. I had the lamb Kadahi curry with rice. It was tasty with a good spice balance. Not quite as flavorful as some of the other local Indian restaurants, and the rice was dry. They are also a bit slow at order taking and food delivery. Pricing is reasonable and portions are large. I'd go back if in the area and craving Indian. I just wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Omg!! I don't know why it took my sooo long to try O'Desi Aroma! I drive by it almost daily before covid and just recently now that I'm working in the office nearby again! The food is amazing!! Made fresh to order, piping hot when you get it and full of flavor! I had gone out to lunch here yesterday with some coworkers. We got some of their chicken kebabs, samosas, and curries! The samosas came out super hot and crispy!! The potatoes and peas stuffing had a ton of flavor. It came with a green and red colored sauce. I'm not sure what they're called but my favorite was the green sauce with the samosas. The red one might be a tamarind sauce. It had a flavor similar to that (a little sweet and tangy). The chicken kebabs... OMG!! They were super juicy and tender! My coworker had gotten the 10pc and was able to choose 3 flavors! He let us have a taste and there was so much flavor! Lastly, I had gotten their curry lunch deal which you basically get to choose a curry, lentils or chickpeas side and rice. I had gotten the butter chicken. It was all delicious! This was not very good Indian. This is what someone who has never had Indian would say is good Indian. What it tasted like was what happens when your school cafeteria is serving "Indian" food and then they make a mixture of water + "Tikka Sauce Seasoning" to make Tikka Sauce and then they add pre-cooked diced chicken to it. EVERYTHING I had tasted like it came from a box mix purchased from Sysco and reconstituted with water. The naan looked like it came from a manufacturing facility that also make tortillas on the side where you purchase a 24 pack from Walmart. It's like eating this in America and having someone yell at you from India saying "THIS IS INDIAN FOOD!" and then you get a HINT of garam masala. You have to close your eyes and chant to yourself that this is Indian food in order for it come across as Indian food. You would have to pay me to eat here. read more

O'Desi Aroma is one of my favorites fast casual Indian restaurants in the DFW area. We ordered a malai kofta dish, butter chicken dish and a bhutta paneer with Naan. I liked how thin yet fluffy the Naan was and it wasn't too greasy. The butter chicken was average it's at par with most Indian restaurants. Bhutta paneer was great, I loved the added corn and bell pepper in it. The malai kofta was by far my favorite, the curry was super creamy and the kofta was soft and flavorful. The place is kind of small so you may not be able to get seating on a busy weekend but it's definitely worth the visit. read more

The combo platters are a great value and enable you to try a few different things. But a la carte gives you a good quantity as well if you're craving for that one dish! Not mad at this place at all. All the flavors are spot on. My top here is the lamb or mutton vindaloo. Spicy Perfection! Sagg and Chicken Tikka are also legit. Biriyani is just ok. They don't use any saffron rice in the dish which is disappointing, and the flavor lacks, but not so bad that I wouldn't order it again. I'm a fan overall. read more

I'm on my sixth visit in 30 days. I've tried a different curry each time and they're all my favorite. I tried not to get the samosa this time but I couldn't resist, once I walked in. They're impeccable- the filling is soft, pillowy and seasoned by the gods, wrapped in a flaky, sturdy pastry. I'm pretty sure the owner is at the register taking orders and his aura is delightful! I love that they have soft music playing and the tables are spaced well so that you don't feel you're sitting on top of the people next to you. This is my new favorite place in Plano! read more

I was very happy with my experience here. The food was delicious! I ordered the kadhai chicken curry and was not disappointed. The service was great as well. My friend ordered a vegan dish and when we got home she realized they had given her chicken. Went on a Tuesday evening for early dinner, the place wasnt busy when we walked in. We ordered the chicken tikka masala and vindaloo-paneer both with naan. Food was served promptly, the naan was really good, so was the chicken tikka masala, the vindaloo didn't have balanced flavors, if felt like some chilli powdered was added last minute to make it spicy but they didn't balance the salt and other seasoning in there. We ordered extra naans because their naans were really small and left us hungry, we had some extra curries leftover to take home. We spent close to $30 for two entrees and 2 naans, so it is pricey for a non-full service restaurant, but definitely try their butter naan and garlic naan read more
