The atmosphere was definitely the highlight, especially sitting out on the patio after the game with a couple of beers. The food was a little disappointing. It lacked flavor and, for the price, I expected more. While the setting and vibe were great for relaxing and having drinks with friends, the food didn't quite match the experience. This review is specific to the Mystic Brunch ticketed event that I attended April 25. We arrived right around 11:01, greeted, and a table was pulled together for us. We were told that there were several ~influences attending as well. Our tickets were $40/person, including a welcome drink, a meal, and interactions with 4 mystics. The hostess and other employees were quite friendly to us. There was some confusion and delay in getting our bottomless mimosas, but after that they kept coming. There was further confusion about the food, which we had preselected upon registration (breakfast burrito) which was not actually available day of, but we were flexible. Overall, I was not impressed by my food or beverages. The corned beef hash was half burned, no exaggeration, and left me unsatisfied. My one companion said the French toast was undercooked, and my others' breakfast sandwich dry and potatoes served without ketchup. We were seated in the back "half" of the space and it was kind of difficult to see/hear the announcements at the beginning. The gentleman with the Runes locked eyes with us near the beginning and came to talk to us. It was fun and we enjoyed our readings. After about an hour, the folks next to us became upset because none of the mystics stopped at their table. It became clear there was no plan for ensuring each group received some attention - it was all vibes and eye contact. We were excited for a tarot reading, and disappointed instead to receive an angel card reading. The reader was really sweet though, so it was a fun chat. A palm reader then performed a reading on my friend, and we followed along on our own. Despite being super excited, we left a bit bummed out, sober, and hungry. Overall, the people working were lovely but more planning and effort is necessary to make it run smoothly. Expectation setting and transparency with the guests should also be considered. The food and mimosas were not great, and more attention should be paid to that aspect. read more

Stopped in to have a beer and a bite before a Timberwolves game. Easy to access near the stadium. Service was absolutely excellent. Our servers got to us quickly and were very friendly. This is a very standard pub, with English and Irish taps and pub fare. We both had a beer (Guinness and Finnegan's) and split some wings and chips. The curry sauce side for the chips was delicious and the wings were sauced up nice! If you're headed to Target Center/Field or any of the Hennepin theaters, O'Donovan's was a great stop. read more

My husband and I came here for the Wizards & Wands mixology event. It was a fun event to interact with other Potterhead. They decorated the place to fit the Harry Potter theme. The staff was professional. FOOD: The food was good. For the event, they have appetizers available for purchase. We had the Buffalo wings and fries. I like that the Buffalo sauce wasn't too spicy. It was just right. After the event, we went to the bar to try their Shepard's Pie and Corned Beef Sandwich. Both dishes were delicious and flavorful. read more

We stopped by here after a Timberwolves game for a couple of drinks on a Saturday night. It was relatively empty when we entered, but the place soon filled up after people left the game. We had a few beers and the service was attentive and speedy. this place does have a patio, but unfortunately it is winter so we were not able to take advantage. The drink prices are very fair for a downtown bar. The atmosphere was a little bit rowdy, however. Nothing crazy, but definitely some louder tables, so know that that may be the case after sporting events, as would likely be the case at any surrounding bars. read more

REVIEW IS FOR TINSELTOWN POPUP 2023 I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with the TinselTown Popup. I'm not sure if the company putting on the Popup is to blame for not training the pub staff well, or if the pub was cutting corners, feel free to decide yourself - but overall based on my experience I would say to save your $20 and go to a different Popup in Minneapolis, since there are many more worth your money. Online you have to reserve your time in advance and purchase a ticket - with fees it was just shy of $20. We were fine with the fee since it included a free drink, making it more like $10 for a drink and $10 for admission in our mind. As reserved the 5pm slot, which was the first one for the night. When we arrived they had the curtain closed since we were 5 minutes early - the issue is the pub isn't really big enough to be closing it off so it got crowded inside fast with no method to stand in line to get in. Once the curtains opened a festive employee gave us the worlds smallest scraps of paper and said they were our "drink tickets" (picture) - this was really odd since it was obvious the employee did this about 5 minutes ago. It was a madhouse to get in but luckily we were second in line where they checked out IDs and didn't even check our tickets. We walked into a beautifully decorated room that would no way hold the amount of people they booked. There wasn't even seating for more than two groups of 4, and we saw quite a few groups of 6 in line. The 4 of us in my group were able to grab 4 stools at the bar, and the group of 4 in front of us grabbed the other large area. As people filed in it was unbearable how crowded it was. I literally had people standing and breathing down my neck since there was no room and they had to just stand. There was no way for anyone to get to the bar and get drinks unless they were sitting there like us. The worst part is the drink experience. We got to the bar and asked for the holiday menu - bombshell dropped that THERE ISNT ONE! At a holiday bar? That's the whole point of going. We were off to a rough start. Instead the bartender rattled off what we could get as a free drink - chocolate martini, Baileys and coffee or an Irish coffee. There was no indication on the website that your free drink had to come from a set list, another disappointment. I ordered a chocolate martini with 2 of my friends, my boyfriend got the Irish coffee. Our drinks came half full and I overheard the bartenders SAYING to make them half's. Not to mention not even in festive glassware or a candy cane hanging from the edge. the chocolate martini was fine, my boyfriend's Irish coffee was UNDRINKABLE - watered down coffee with cheap whisky. At this point we're upset, and we can tell a lot of others are too. Once everyone finally got filed in an actress came on and started giving a holiday spiel about playing games together, etc. We were pretty over the experience at this point. After this we were absolutely done, our money had been wasted and we weren't about to spend more on just regular/non holiday drinks. I could tell the staff was surprised to see us go before our allotted time was up but we couldn't take it. Saw a note on an influencer post today that they might be making more space for the Popup and tweaking some things - I hope they do because I wish I could get my $20 back. read more

Rude staff & no clear hours of operation. We walked up to the restaurant just after nine to have a few drinks at the bar. The front door had a sign that read "open: please enter through the patio." We made our way to the patio doors that were locked even though there were quite a few patrons inside. Confused, we looked at the bar tenders that sarcastically waved and us, laughing, and shook their hands across their necks, indicating a "no" or "negative". I guess they were closed? The sign at the front door said open. Their Apple Maps account showed them as open until 2am. Their Google account showed them as open until 12am. We were neither let in nor given an explanation as to why they were, presumably, closing early. Even as we waited outside to find a new bar to give our money to, we were met with no sort of answer. We can handle a place being closed--but don't rudely mock us when you can't maintain your own hours online. Pathetic excuse for an Irish "pub" and we and our friends won't be trying to go there again. read more

Honestly, I was a little nervous stopping in before heading to the target center for the gold over America tour cause of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. It was extremely busy because of the twins game and the tour at the target center. We got a table right away on the patio but it did take a little while for a server to come to our table which I totally understand with how busy it was. Our food came out 5-10 minutes after we ordered which was awesome and surprising with how busy it was. The food was awesome. It was probably one of the best Ruebens I have had in a long time. High recommend checking it out but just be patient on game days cause the staff doing a great job. read more

Our service was amazing while we waited. She was nice enough to put our food in a fridge for us while we were in the event. I've eaten here a couple of times now before sports games in Minneapolis. I think it's a great place to meet friends and have a cocktail. It's typically loud with lots of energy. The couple times I've come here it's been to eat and that is why there is a lower rating. I just don't think their food is very good. My most recent visit I had the fish and chips and they were just ok. I thought fish and chips at a pub would be 'the' meal to get and it just wasn't that good. It was two smaller pieces of fish. Tons of fries. The menu is limited now with the pandemic so not a lot of options and something like a pot pie is $18. The rest of the meals in our group were so so as well. If I want to grab a Guinness with friends, I'll be back. To eat, not so much. read more

So let's start with I'm in hospitality, I never want and even told the waitress we didn't want anything removed from our check we just wanted them to know the food was cold. Surprisingly empty and quiet on a Friday evening. Unless there is a sports or music event it pretty much stays that was. Since it was a proper Irish pin I sure did have a tasty Magnum Cidre. Large fresh crisp just the right temperature. Craving a salad the bar tender suggested the Fraser salad since it was large. The salad part was delicious. The chicken eh. The service and food were immaculate however, the older white bald bar tender is irrational, aggressive and has no business working busy crowds. He is deeply unpleasant, late to get orders and power hungry. My husband went to order a beer and two shots for us to share after dinner. This bartender told him that he would bring the drinks outside to us while handing the beer to my husband. My husband then asked if he should wait for the shots at which point this bartender bar tender told him that he was refusing him service and aggressively escorted him out despite my husband not being inebriated. When I went back in, he had the audacity to tell me that my husband had snatched the beer out of his hand (I know that he did not) and that he could "see in his eye" that he was drunk. My husband had just worked a 13 hour shift and was simply tired and looking for a decent buzz to go home with. Either this bartender is a liar who simply enjoys the occasional power trip or he is legitimately delusional and unable to work in such a capacity. Won't be back any time soon solely because of his behavior. read more

This appears to be a great place to grab a drink before a game downtown Minneapolis, however it seemed to be not as busy as we thought it would be and I think we figured out why, nice selection of beer and drinks but the menu was TINY. Not a lot of options unless you like the traditional Irish meal. Service was great and friendly but just not impressed with my food options. Also it looks like the place needs more help as they were open for the tournament but their normal hours appear slim and they must not advertise well, i would have expected the place to be crawling with fans before the games, but it wasn't when we were there, and the Friday night crowd after the game was very small as well. read more

I hears good things about this place but unfortunately when my friends and I (about 6 of us) went to celebrate our friend moving away it wasn't so stellar:( Our server Kyle F got our orders wrong and even charged me extra for food and drinks I never ordered and when I placed a $20 on the table and asked for a Chocolate Martini he gave me a tiny shot glass with (Pepsi? I think) in it and said it was a specialty and he pocketed my whole $20. The atmosphere was nice and my friends also have recipes that are overcharged and will be calling to solve this as Server Kyle said he couldn't give us change because they were closing at midnight tonight but could still print the reciepts. The bartender here is why I give 5 stars! Ben kicked butt at making me and my friend experience a night in Minneapolis! I was getting ready for prince tribute and Ben made me have a happy time! We went in just to grab a snack and got the wings, which were actually really good, even though I had doubts because no others were inside! But thru about an hour regulars that Ben knew by name and what they wanted started to come in, every person was so nice, polite, and enjoyable to be around! I wish that place could have Ben and his regulars back down in Texas! It's a bar I'd genuinely enjoy going to! Plus I tried some crazy thick stuff, that was delicious to me read more
