Watching the Astros win Game 4 of the 2019 World Series.
    Craig C.

While visiting Minneapolis from Houston, my wife and I wanted to enjoy a spot to watch the World Series (Go Astros!) The first spot was too cramped and the TVs were small. So, we did some quick research and found this absolute gem of a bar and grill. They had a pretty good craft brew selection. The bar area was the most comfortable bar I've ever sat at. The bartender was fantastic. What we were not expecting was how great the food was. I ordered the dry rub wings. The flavor and texture was unbelievable. The hand cut fries were also amazing. They managed to keep hand cut fries crispy, which is no easy task.

I've never had a local before. Love having the office in the neighborhood and the burger is soooo good.

Sketchy customers. Not women friendly. Rude service and management. Dozens of better places to go in the neighborhood.

Always my go to spot in the north loop. I love the patio in the summer time along with the comfy chairs along the bar.

They have a comfortable and lively atmosphere, good food (fish and chips and beef dip are among my favorites, and attentive service. FOOD: I enjoyed their chicken caesar this time which had great cheese, well seasoned blackened chicken, and a great dressing. AMBIANCE: I've now sat inside at the lower level, upper level, and outside -- all of which provide a similarly enjoyable and lively vibe which is neither too loud nor quiet.

There is a full bar, seating, dining room type set up with high tables, flat screens and flags hanging from the ceiling, very bustling vibe. Also next to the bar is a small room with another bar, couches and table seating for possibly a private gathering or party. Upstairs is where we spent most of time. With the capacity seating of well over 50+ tables of 4, this was a good spot for our group. Outside is a large grassy roof top area with a large screen, to watch sporting events. There is a wide selection of beers here on tap. For food we ordered fish and chips, chicken wings, bangers & mash, scotch eggs, Shepard Pie. I enjoyed Minneapolis' own Summit EPA beer. For the size of our group, the service was really good.

This place does get busy so definitely keep that in mind. Luckily I made reservations ahead of time so we had a table waiting for us, otherwise we would have been put on a waiting list since it's a small space. They put us in a corner booth which was nice and spacious enough for 4 people so I'd definitely recommend asking for a booth verse a table if you're planning to come with a larger group. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I appreciated their attentiveness and sharing what they like best, especially for what's in season based on the time of year. The menu has quite a bit of variety too which is sometimes unexpected when you come to a pub-style location. For appetizers we got Onion Ring and Fried Pickles. They were both really good and served with dipping sauces. Definitely both shareable items so if you're in a group they'd be great options! My entree I chose the Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon served with lemon soy marinade, creamy cucumbers, and jasmine rice -- it was SO good!! I loved the creaminess of the cucumbers especially with the rice and than the lemon soy marinade was just a unique touch to the salmon. Toned the flavors down without overpowering acidity. And the salmon was so dreamy, a beautiful pink color that you just knew it wasn't a farm raised salmon. Plus the portion was very generous!! I'd definitely recommend the Alaskan Sockeye Salmon to anyone interested in visiting here. #eatwildsavewild The only negatives (which are more so just knowledge bombs for you): * Restaurant is VERY loud. It's hard to hear because it is one small room that everyone plus the bar is in. I wished I would have took a picture to show what I mean. Just know that if it's an intimate setting you're looking for this is not the place. So be prepared to talk loudly over the loudness and ask "excuse me?" or "repeat that" many times throughout your visit because you're not going to hear everything. * Timed eating. Because this place is a hit with limited seating, once you get a table and complete your meal/payment you'll kindly be asked to leave so that they can clean up and open the table to next in line. Totally get that and am not put off by this at all, but I could see how it could catch some folks off guard especially if you are out for a meal with folks you may not see frequently-- so just keep that in mind. This is not the place to sit and talk post meal. * Parking is limited. Be prepared to walk a few blocks as the road parking in front of the business is pretty limited especially with the other stores and restaurants in the area. Regardless of those few bullets I highly recommend folks visit George & The Dragon. It's a really cool spot and the food was great! Plus theirs a malt shop right next door that looks yummy too, so definitely worth visiting and getting malts after for dessert.

The place was hopping with diners and they had a private party in their second room. We were seated in a both near the open door to the patio but the AC was keeping up and we were comfortable. My wife and ai each ordered a cider. She had a traditional one and I had a passion fruit - guava on tap. Both cool and refreshing. We ordered a salad with chicken and the Reuben sandwich. My wife enjoyed the salad. It was generous in portion, fresh and tasty. The Reuben was hot and fresh. I should have asked for "heavy" sauerkraut as many places tend to go too light for me. This one was as well. The corned beef was extra tasty and gave the impression of being made in house. Fries were crispy and hot. Our server covered a lot of territory that afternoon, both inside and out and did so with calm and "cool" professionalism. We will go back in the future.

Due to the temperatures, we actually chose to sit outside. I had the chicken pub pie. My wife had bangers and mash. My pub pie was good, I felt like it had more filler than chicken. My wife enjoyed her bangers and mash. Service was average plus, meals were slightly above average. This is a fairly authentic Irish pub that is close to the Target Center and Target Field. I'd give it another shot but would try something different on the menu.
