I bought a home built in 1968. It seems over the years "band-aids" were used to fix electrical problems, most of which was ignored by the inspector. I didn't feel safe and wanted a licensed electrician to assess everything and after reading all the great Yelp reviews, I called O'Hagan. We recently had O'Hagan complete several updates to our home including installing 4 ceiling fans, 3 can lights, a TV mount over the fireplace plus replacing a few outlets. The owner and crew were so professional. The quote was clear and accurate, they showed up on time, worked quickly, kept it clean and did amazing work. We hard wired the fans and I didn't know to order a separate switch until Stephen told me when he came out to do the quote as I had ordered the fans before we secured an electrician. O'Hagan was able to complete the work a few days after the quote and graciously came back out as soon as the right switches came in. Thank you Steven and Dan for the great job in repair/ replacing my main breaker. My house lights would flicker and would randomly shut off, including some of the outlets. Then the power would randomly turn back on or I would have to switch the breaker off then on again to reset the power. I contacted Steven and told him my problem with my electricity as stated above. This was occurring several times a day for about a week. After speaking to Steve, he told me he was pretty booked up and told me he would try and squeeze me in his very tight schedule. I didn't think I would hear from him that day, but he texted me and told he could stop by. I believe it was already after 5pm. I was surprised that he did came at that time of the day. Steve came to my house a started trouble shooting the problem. At that point the electricity was back on when he got here. He told me it could possibly be a breaker or some wiring issues. Since everything was back on when he arrived, he couldn't pinpoint the exact cause. While he was here the power never randomly shut off - wouldn't you know it. He instructed me to write down every outlet and light that shut off and he would be better at diagnosing the problem. I did as instructed and texted him, however he was booked up and he had Dan take a look. It should be noted that every time I contacted Steve, he always responded pretty quick. Dan arrived and I told him the situation and added that the 100 amp breaker that I had been switching off and on was no longer resetting the electricity. At this time half the house had no electricity. In the end Dan removed the main breaker and determined that it was bad and replaced it with a new one.. Fixed - No more flickering and no loss of electricity. In my 34 years of homeownership. Specialty contractors are hard to find. I've had some bad and very few good for various repairs. obviously i keep the good ones in my phone list. O'Hagen is definitely one of the best. O'Hagen electric will definitely be in my phone list. Stephen and his crew went well above and beyond for us, and we are so happy! About a month ago in the middle of the night (Tuesday 3/29), our electrical panel over-heated, sparked and nearly went into a full blown fire. We called the fire department, who shut the breaker off. They told us to either get it repaired, or replaced - we weren't going to have electricity for a while. Luckily for us, the damage was no more than the panel itself, along with some wires contained within the immediate periphery of the breaker. You just don't realize how much you depend on electricity when you don't have it! The next day, we had another electrician come out to inspect it and provide a repair estimate. It would be 2-3 weeks before we'd be back to normal! We googled for other quotes and they stated the same timeframe. Then we found O'Hagan. Stephen himself came to check the situation, and quoted us a certain estimate as well as being up and running by Friday. He worked with the city directly for the permit(s) and inspection. He had his staff of dependable electricians out the very next day, and they worked their butts off and got our electricity up and running by Thursday night! Now I can't say his services were cheap (they aren't), but I will say it was worth every penny for his professionalism, expediency, communication and knowledgeable staff. Plus, for our electricity to be operational so quickly with top-knot service, you wouldn't want to have it done cheaply - but done correctly. I would highly recommend his electrical services.
