One of three choices near wood dale. the other 2 , gerber & exdents ive gone to in the past. Compared to the other 2, o'hare is far & away the best in the area i think. They did major repairs incl. radiator, in record time- 3 days . super communication all along the way. quick thinking on additional things that came up. Im really impressed by them & would not hesitate taking a car in to them. Fair pricing with no unneccesary work done, clean. really a class act there. Gerber glass & auto repair in elmhurst was ok i guess, i had a rear impact repair they did a couple of years ago. its quite the insurance mill-not too impressed with the skill of the mechanics- wouldnt take a car there unless ins. covered everything & i didnt have anything to do all day. They are experts at maxing the insurance payouts i think. also not fast. they kept on adding days to the repair-on & on. The manager at exdents in wood dale acted like they were gods- doing a favor by agreeing to repair the car (i went to them 3 yrs prior on a side panel repair). additionally the didnt see the need to call back. I needed structural work done on a 2005 Ford Escape and got estimates from several places but everyone kept telling me they didn't want to do it. Two places suggested I go out and buy a new car instead, but my vehicle has low miles and is in otherwise beautiful condition.. and I generally don't have an extra $20k lying around nor do I particularly want a car payment. I got a recommendation for O'Hare and I talked to Tony and was happy to hear he's seen and done exactly what I needed done before AND it didn't seem to phase him. I had my car towed in by Tomatow Towing (Tony's) and I got a bunch of other stuff fixed while the car was in. His estimate (and final cost) was still lower than everybody else's. My 11 year-old Escape is almost like a brand new vehicle. Heads up: they are BUSY so don't expect them to call you every day with progress updates. You will be called if they find any issues with your car that you didn't discuss prior or aren't on your estimate and they'll ask if you want them fixed while they have it in the shop but they won't call to shoot the breeze: they're busy fixing your car. My beautiful 2013 STI was damn near totaled by a hail storm when I was in Denver CO. I never believed in baseball sized hail but I do now. Just after my car was destroyed I was planning to move back to the Chicagoland area. I was not sure where to take my car so I called the Porsche dealer in Naperthrill and asked them where they took their cars. They pointed me to O'Hare Autobody. Tony was my service consultant and he did an excellent job. The work was going to take 3 weeks and Tony kept me up to speed the entire way through. Tony, great job man! There were a couple small items that needed attention after the work was completed and Tony took care of them immediately. Thank you Tony! The best part.... This body shop did over $13,000 of unauthorized repairs on my car. Yes, that's correct, over $13,000! They took almost two years to do the work and never informed me that the repairs were denied by the insurance company, yet they continued to work on the car. Now they are keeping my car and have threatened to sell it. I now have retained a lawyer to file suit to get my car back. I have in addition contacted the States attorney's office and they told me that there may be some criminal exposure there (insurance fraud, etc. & auto theft). So they want me to come in and file charges, which I did! The States Attorney also told me to call the police and claim the car stolen. In addition I have filed charges the the local police department. The GM on staff at the time tried to tell the owner to give me back my car, that none of this was my fault, and the owner refused. Since then there have been several GM's walk out on this place. Run, don't walk from this place! read more

Apprehensive wasn't even close to how concerned I was dropping off a new Porsche 911 with very rare paint color to have a fender repainted. Tony, the manager, and his expert painter assured me of their quality work. Tony was absolutely outstanding in keeping me apprised of the work and repair timing. Great customer service Tony!!!! Picked it up today and it looked like new with absolutely outstanding workmanship in the repaint! They virtually detailed the entire car (even better than the Porsche dealership).
