What an elevated experience. From when you walk in the decor it's fantastic. Service quickly got us started and presented is both the full menu and lunch specials. Jen got the pad se ew - broad noodles and I got the spicy yellow curry with chicken. We both got the salads to start, and then got our main courses. One of my new favorite Thai spots on the island! I've been meaning to try this spot for a long time and finally did for Valentine's Day. We made reservations and were seated quickly. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly, and put our orders in fairly quickly. The ambience was very relaxed even though it was fairly busy with almost every table occupied. Despite that, we had really good service. We ordered the Calamari and Curry Puff for apps and had the Spicy Crispy Pork Belly and Roasted Duck in Red Curry for entrees. We also decided to grab some cocktails and tried the Sawasdee Storm and Mai Thai. The cocktails were really great and fairly strong, especially the Sawasdee Storm. I enjoyed the Mai Thai and finished it fairly quickly. The pricing was good for the amount we got and we enjoyed it. The Calamari was delicious and well made and seasoned. I loved that it was tender without being too chewy. The Curry Puffs were 4 pieces and they were flavorful and delicious. I loved that they weren't too oily or flaky. The entrees were absolutely delicious! I loved the Spicy Crispy Pork Belly and the flavorful sauce it came with. I wish I'd gotten it a bit spicier but next time! The Roasted Duck in Red Curry was the winner for the evening. It was so tender and falvorful and just delicious! We enjoyed it immensely! Lastly, we grabbed Coconut Pudding and Thai Taro Custard for dessert, both of which were perfect! I paired my dessert with one of their award-winning teas, Koh Samet Sun, which made our dessert perfect! Overall, this is a great spot with very friendly staff and delicious food! My teenage daughter, her boyfriend and another couple went here for a dinner date. The service they received and way they were treated was very poor. The waitress was rude to the them. They had hair in their food and weren't willing to resolve it. The worst part was when the bill came. They included a generous tip for themselves and when the kids left another tip on top of the auto tip factored in, no one said anything. These are deceptive practices (jamming in auto tips and accepting custom tips on top). Anytime I've eaten here, never had an auto tip factored in. Best thai food on Long Island in my opinion. I always order the drunken noodle and it is always perfect. I always love starting with the fried calamari or veggie spring rolls, and my favorite dessert to finish the meal off with is definitely the fried ice cream. The restaurant is roomy and beautifully decorated. There's a few pictures on the walls that depict Thailand's landscape. Having been there myself, it was nice to find this spot for great Thai food. Drunken noodles was the review favorite so my hubby ordered it and he really enjoyed it. I ordered the masaman curry to see if it was the real deal and it was delicious. My kids ordered a few appetizers and had the chicken with peanut sauce entree. Everything was tasty and well executed. The money bag chicken appetizer was really crispy so that made it very enjoyable. And the classic curry puff appetizer we always have to get, was so good here. We couldn't get enough of it. The Thai Iced teas were very good as well, great flavor and not overly sweet. Best dessert: mango with sticky rice. It was true to the ones we've had in Thailand so this was a super nice treat. The only reason why I didn't give this place a five star review was the service. The staff was quick to seat and greet but not very friendly. I felt rushed to order as well even though we were well ahead of closing time. Also oddly, multiple servers walked around and came to us but whenever I needed someone, one would waive over another to help. Just odd. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza so parking was easy. The bar is a full on bar with a full time bartender on hand. The cocktails looked good (variety) but I didn't order any... Tonight I ordered the drunken noodles to go and they were pretty good! the noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavors were definitely there! However, I was quite annoyed when the man who handed over the food told me I couldn't go outside to take photos of the dish because it was only for dine-in which is understandable but at the time of me ordering the restaurant was pretty dead only a handful of people INSIDE, so it didn't make much sense. First time here, this is my feeling on this restaurant, we came as a party of "5" two couples and a 3 year old that ate half a spring roll and a few bites of cheesecake, so this is why the restaurant felt appropriate to charge a 25% gratuity, (a gratuity is a tip for great service and an overall good feeling you have after your meal to show appreciation to the server, My wife ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken, a dish she has had at other Thai restaurants and enjoyed, the rice was horrible the Tamarac took over the dish, and it took one bite and was pushed away, I had the pad woon sen beef another one bite and pushed aside. wife ordered coffee came in a mug half full and was lukewarm requested a refill ad she was told "No" first time a restaurant refused to let her have a second cup of coffee. I asked to speak with the manager who was not there. Not that the manager or owners seem to care, seeing all the negative feedback. i guess we live and learn and i offer anyone reading this find another place to eat in response to your reply: I am sure you think you know best and a customer like myself would not understand what I am talking about, but there you would be mistaken. About how many people were in our party someone needs to learn how to count, two couples and a three year old is not six people even if you are counting the three year old. As for the food, the server did take the full plates of food from the table, did not ask if we wanted to take it to go or remove the cost from the bill did not give the food in a togo box, Neighbors dog might have enjoyed it. so you charged us and were paid and nothing received! (some might see this as theft) And as to the second cup of coffee, when i was speaking with the bartender my wife did request it from the server and was told "no" even when she said she was willing to pay for it, she was still denied. As to why i didn't tell him about the food problem's he is a person that deals with the drinks the restaurant serves and soft drinks should fall into this category, He is not the server or the manager or the person that cooked the food so i spoke to him about getting a full cup of coffee, He did say a second cup would be on the house but it was never sent to the table. and denied by the server. I see many reviews on your restaurant and yes there many 5 star reviews but there also quite few one star reviews as well. Just some observations: Most people that have a good time at a restaurant will tell 1 or 2 others about it, they will probably be back themselves but don't tell many people. On the other hand people that have a bad experience at a restaurant will tell at least 10 people, will probably never be back, and will discourage going to said restaurant when going out as a group. This is fact, and if you have been in the restaurant industry you should know this. You seem to take negative feedback personally and being proud I can understand to some extent but you are so defensive and have even told people they are liars. You need to learn how to take criticism as not something personal, but as how a person feels and use the feedback to learn and grow Try something else like " I am so sorry that you were unsatisfied with (address the problem the customer had) please let me know when you would like to come back and give us another chance and I will personally make it my business to not repeat this problem and show you the great experience we hope every customer will have" A good manager might even offer something on the house the next time they come in for dinner, could be something small like a free coffee with their dessert. It doesn't have to be fancy or anything elaborate but lets the customer know they are seen and appreciated. Might even be an up sale of a few desserts . I stand corrected it was 20% charge, I would love to know why, who gets this extra money. I don't understand if this is a forced gratuity then it is not a gratuity at all but a taxable charge, A gratuity is something a customer gives because the service warrants it but as a customer it should be my choice of how much or how little i give. I also understand the argument that wait staff does not get a fair salary but why should it be my job as a customer to pay your employees, Pay them a living wage and get rid of tips all together, but No server wants this as they make more in tips and no owner wants this as effects the cost of running a business (having to pay the people he employs. there is a lot of reasons both ways but again if it is a gratuity then why 20% that might have been ok when a server had to pay taxes on there tips something they no longer do, It also does not encourage a server to do anything over and above as they are getting a 20% tip that is really is not a tip for doing as little as possible and probably why we had such nonexistent service. read more

I'm a big fan of their Chicken Pad Thai as it also comes with a salad and spring roll. Everything is packed neatly so you don't have to worry about spills when driving. My husband and I stopped by for lunch on Saturday and there were plenty of open tables. We shared the Curry Puffs as an appetizer and they were served warm with a nice dipping sauce. My husband ordered the Chicken Massaman Curry, which comes with a bowl of white rice. The curry was very creamy but the potatoes weren't cooked long enough. I ordered the Chicken Drunken Noodle. Nice ambiance for couples! ;) The husband and I both opt for the lunch special and an extra appetizer. I like the lunch special salad with the light salad dressing, which complements the main course. The husband wanted a different salad dressing. I like the egg roll appetizer because it's not soggy even when it's left dipped in the plum sauce, but the stuffing was a little too salty. The fried calamari appetizer was good, but wish it was with the Thai chili sauce instead of the sriracha aioli sauce. We are just used to the chili sauce from other Thai restaurants we've been to that's all. The sriracha aioli sauce is different and still complements the fried calamari. The Thai Iced Tea was on the sweeter side, but it satisfied my Thai Iced Tea craving! Yippie! The husband enjoyed his chicken drunken noodle, but he wished it was a tad bit spicier. My husband and I came back here for an anniversary lunch this past weekend and had a lovely time! I've previously visited with my family and we ordered a large spread of items including their whole fish, and some vegetarian/vegan options, all of which were fantastic! The basil chicken was so so, my biggest complaint was the portion sizes, I felt that for the prices, the portions were too small, especially the pad Phuket, there was literally 1 piece of zucchini, and 3 pieces of broccoli in the whole dish. The worst part of the meal was honestly the homemade sodas, they were slightly carbonated sugar water drinks at best. An incredibly mediocre meal for "elevated" prices. Went with my parents as my last meal back home. I got the Penang curry which was just okay. Not that spicy, not that flavorful. My dad's red curry was similar. My mom got "garlic phad" or something like that. My mom asked the waitress if it was a stir fry which she said yes. Came with a group of friends around 5:30 on a Wednesday night. It wasn't crowded...yet. By about 6:30 is when the crowds came in. I ordered Chicken Satay and Chicken Pad Thai. Both were delicious! Full of flavor. The chicken satay came with 4 skewers, which is more than enough. Perfect for sharing....or if you're hungry and want it all for yourself. The chicken pad thai was great too. I got it "medium spicy" and it was perfect! Serving was generous as well. Other dishes that were ordered in my group included drunkin noodle, coconut soup, basil chicken, and chicken and spinach. The ambiance and decor is very nice inside and eye catching. Definitely a place for a date night. I ordered two different types of soup (coconut milk and hot & sour). It was salty which I immediately drank two glasses of water while eating the soup to help make it more tolerable. For our main dish, I had Pineapple Fried Rice which was okay and other person had the coconut milk curry which was good! Best Thai Coconut Milk Soup I have ever had! I had the Crispy Duck Salad and my wife had the Paramedic Ron Song (chicken with spinach and peanut sauce) it was excellent! I was reading the other reviews about service and attitude, the owners John and Walailak couldn't have been any kinder. They are in their second year of business and this is their first entrepreneurial venture, give them a break. They did this because they love to share their love for Thai food and it shows.
