Each time I walk in, immediately I'm greeting with a friendly hello, and asked what it is that I'm looking for. I've never been pushed to buy anything extraneous, but I've felt comfortable asking for honest opinions on what it is I'm looking for. My second to last trip here I was picking up some vehicle care extras, and asked the gentleman behind the counter for some advice on some serious work needing done to the engine on my vehicle. He gave no-frills advice, and explained everything in an approachable manner. This experience is what made me decide to keep coming back. I'd like to highlight my recent visit, because it was just that awesome! I came in to get additional simple vehicle care items, and immediately I was greeted by Xavier. After providing a genuine warm welcome to the store, he then helped me select my items. Upon check out, I asked him about replacing the windshield wiper fluid dispensers. Not only did he check them to see if it was something I could do myself, but then helped me select the product and instructed me how to do it step by step! Something I previously would have been intimidated to do, Xavier gave me the advice and confidence to do the project on my own. As an elite member for the last several years I have been to many locations and every single auto parts store that exist I am a regular premium customer to all of them because I buy and sell quite a few cars. Just got a 2011 Acura RDX turbo and needed something very simple as a relay. Advance Auto has one of the best online fitment and purchase to pick up systems in place. Found the part I needed so I decided to just go pick it up. I showed up I tried to buy two of them but they only had one, the guy who rang me up was very professional and polite. Took the part went in the parking lot did not even have it in my possession for 2 minutes and it did not work properly. I then walked back into the store with my receipt I had for 2 minutes. The guy Jorden said that it was the wrong part looked up the correct part and the correct part was four times the price of the one that I purchased. I agreed to pay the extra money since they had it in stock so I was ready to do an exchange. He then looked at me and told me he refuses to exchange it and refuses to give me a refund. At first I thought he was joking but he was not. He refused to exchange or refund it not because of policy but because he told me to my face "you ordered the wrong part" and then he talked trash about the guy that rang me up as if it was his fault. I also have a screenshot that says it's an exact fit for the part that I purchased and then he said that the fitment is always incorrect. I've been buying at advance Auto for years and just relocated to the area and this is the nearest location and very seldom does advance Auto make a mistake on the fitment. I then told Jorden that his response and attitude is unacceptable and I will be complaining. He then said to me "I don't care". So basically advance Auto has this guy named Jorden who doesn't care about customers, who trashes his employees and also talks trash about the online fitment system. In the end I took the part that he refused to refund or exchange which I was willing to buy but due to his attitude I refuse to spend more money with him. Went a mile or so down the road and bought it from another company or I bought an extra one I should say because I needed to purchase two of them. So once I went to the other competitor location (who was actually a lot more professional than this rude jerk Jorden) I put the new part in the car along with the part that he said was my fault that I ordered the wrong part. I am also including a picture of exact fitment because this guy Jorden said it was not exact fit. The end result was I originally purchased the correct part I just needed two of them and they only had one. The main point of this is this guy Jorden is 100% wrong I had the original part as the website stated, the cashier guy was correct and I was correct. The only person here that was actually wrong was Jorden. It seems he doesn't have respect for the company that he works for or his employees or his customers. In addition to this I contacted the corporate complaint as of today it has been a couple of days and I was told I would be contacted by a team leader at this location. I never got a contact from the team leader so even the corporate here or the local location is failing to do their job. I have many friends I've made in advance autos just because I'm a regular and never before has anyone been so unprofessional and ridiculous. I don't really work well with guys that think they know everything and trash everything around them and this seems to be the case. So I'm sure that if corporate decides to respond to this it will be a basic templated response that says I'm sorry you had a bad experience, blah blah but then do nothing about it and let this guy run off their business. Kept me informed, educated me and was a pleasant afternoon on a day I didn't want to get new batteries but had to. These guys are awesome, if you ever need anything in their helm the are top notch. This place talked me into buying a crazy expensive jumper pack to jump start a car. After all they stamp their name in big bold letters on everything they make, so why would they make junk with their name on it? Turns out it's cheap Chinese junk and won't hold a charge after 3 months of use. Called the store back and I was told they quit carrying the enterprise jumper packs and had switched to a different brand called NOGO because theirs aren't as good. I talked to the person for another 20 min and he said they can return it for a store credit towards another one. Ok I'm down for that I said and they ordered another one. I told them I would cover the difference if they would order the bigger heavier duty one since this one crapped out so easily. 2 days later called back and of course the story changed. Now the guy said the store manager wouldn't let him return it without the original receipt. The receipt printed on thermal paper that was no longer legible since it was left in the car. I asked why because they were able to easily look up and see the sale recorded in the computer. He said it's because his manager said no and that was the last word. Well manager let me tell you that when you put your own company name on a product that does a few months later and don't stand behind it the last word gets stamped on the internet. Along with your poor customer service.

The neighborly thing would have been to put up a sign saying "No Radio parking. We will tow." Instead their towing company booted every car in the lot a few minutes before bluegrass ended at Radio. Putting up a sign would have stopped people from parking there. Instead this is costing people thousands and thousands of dollars to get the boots taken off. You have to question the motivation.

We were going to a baseball game at The Longtime and to see a concert of Ryan Bingham, a country star who also threw down some George Thouroughgood and Delaware Destroyers for good measure. It was also bring your dog to the ballpark for a race in the seventh inning. The umpire out there is treated close to a god, which is unheard of among baseball guys. If you ever need an umpire, I can refer this one to you. I don't think he missed a call and on account of the fact he is exceedingly handsome, (my wife's words, not mine) the girlies couldn't stop talking about him! Back to the tire. I packed all the things I needed - a small cooler of Dr. Pepper and my hat. My wife packed what she needed. The make-up, the blush, the hair brush, the perfume, the hair ties, her I-Pad, two changes of clothes, a pair of dice, her small elegant night time purse and her larger daytime purse, and a mid-afternoon purse, complete with two breakfast bars, an extra emergency fold-out map of the United States in case we ever lose our GPS systems, two pairs of shoes, A Mrs. Potato Head (missing one arm) and an earthquake survival kit. It was only then that we realized our back-right tire was flat. My wife thought the car would ride better if we fixed the situation by flattening all of the ties for an even ride. I thought about that for about 1/16ths of a second and knew right away what to do. I got my can of fix-a-flat which turned out to be "fix a big fat lie" and my situation grew desperate. My next step ws to reach to the God of Tires, Desperatos, and just then I saw my trusty and far more handier neighbor next door. He put an air compressor to the tire and it blew right back up. But it was hissing like a rattler in the desert that had come upon a mongoose. We had limited time to save the day, and to get our tire over to Discount Tires in Kyle Texas where it could be given last rites by hospice and a new one could be born. The situation grew even worse because Discount is closed on the Lord's Day and we wouldn't be back from the concert until after they closed. This would entail us ubering from kingdom-come and with my wife having half the house with her, this was going to be a real challenge. But with our tire wheezing through its final breaths, there were no other options. Many people like us were already there, each having lived through their own shocking and sad stories as the tire mortician was getting ready to take them to the tire graveyard/recycling center. Our tire, as it turns out, had a razor blade imbedded within. (that tire hangs out with a rough crowd) We made complicated arrangements for my wife's son to go to the Discount Tires on I-35 in Kyle and pick up the car before 5. In this way, he could leave his beat-up work truck there and we'd Uber back to Buda after a long day of hooting and hollerin', we would Uber home to see our car there, along with my step-son. Surprise Surprise! A young man that should immediately meet my daughter, came out and said, "hey, if you wanna wait, I can get it done in 15 minutes!" (I think his name was Kelly, but I am bad with names) And - BETTER STILL! The tire that passed away was 100% covered so that my out the door cost was $28 and a NEW TIRE! We got our car THAT FAST. Discount Tires may have a Discount Name but it is anything BUT Discount in Service. In fact, I would say the philosophy of their manager, Justin, is to offer ELITE tire service, but with a DISCOUNT price. Maybe you should change your name to ELITE-DISCOUNT TIRE SERVICE. I would like to commend the staff of this place as everyone - although young - were professional and polished. I'll come back to get my front two tires replaced! My wife wants to learn how to rotate tires, which if you ask me, makes her even hotter than she already is. But - THE BEST SERVICE at any place in Austin, bar-none. I would bring my car here just to admire all the other cars who get new tires, THAT'S how good this place is!

First off a 20+ year "believer" in Discount Tire…read more Something however has changed significantly - went in for a set of tires, a set being 6 for my truck, upon completion noticed they severely scratched my front polished aluminum wheel. Manager apologized profusely and stated they would take care of it, however he would need to get permission to replace it. After leaving, hit the highway and heard a loud pop, then heavy vibration, took it back and the wheel weights had came off. Apologized again and rebalanced. Couple of grand on tires, and find myself today with a scratched wheel still, and tires that are out of balance. Contacted corporate who just had the manager reach out, to let me know they would make it right. Months later, still nothing. Unhappy to say the least.

I was on the hunt for parts to complete a fuel line fabrication on my project car. After several stops and time wasted, an employee at a competing store mentioned that North Lamar NAPA is the place to go. So off I went. Admittedly, every time I walked into the other auto parts stores, the employee's looked lost, even prior to my parts inquiry. One employee at a competing store, walked me over to the fuel filter section after I specifically asked for brass fuel line fittings, he had no clue what I was requesting. I guess all he understood was "fuel". Upon walking into this NAPA store, I immediately thought to myself finally, I have found home. This place was spot on. Several parts on display, large stock in the back and upstairs, and the employees looked like they were on their game. After a brief explanation of what I was attempting to fabricate, the employee searched for the fittings and we were able to piece together parts for my fuel line with success. This location has become my go to auto parts store, without fail.
