    Needing a battery for my car, I look up a battery that is cited as compatible with my car. I try to…read moreorder online, page refuses to fully load. I go to the store, am told that the online discount can't be applied in store. Additionally, the battery I want is not in stock, can be ordered in a few days, assuming that I can start my car and come back in a few days. A battery at the next level up is out of stock as well, and the most inexpensive battery for my that can be installed immediately is twice the price that I expected to pay. This place takes advantage of those in a desperate spot. Never again for me.

    I bought a power steering hose, was told it would fit even though it wasn't the right hose, I just…read moreneeded one end. I was told the hose I needed wasn't offered. In order to install the part it had to be cut first since it wasn't the exact part I needed and it was too large the way it was. Come to find out it had the wrong end after all. An error made by the employee but "Eddy" insists on blaming me instead, I had to walk out of the store without my other purchases because of how rude he was. I'm taking my business to O'Rielly Auto parts in Billerica for now on, and telling everyone I know to do the same (they had the correct hose anyways!!). Eddy said my business at Advance Auto Parts means nothing, I guess over 10 years of seeking out Advance Auto Parts stores before any others means nothing, well good riddance.

    brought my vehicle for tints. I requested 35% tint. They finished the job, however, comparing the…read morework to my friend's car, (he has the same model, same 35% tint), his shade was slightly darker than mines. He showed me his receipt, from Boomers audio, in NH and confirmed the % tint. However, my receipt from carisma showed no such details apart from the services provided. I went back to carisma to inquire about my tint % and below is are the details from the response(s) I received from the owner: 1. They provided me with 40% tint. When i requested 35% 2. When i asked about why 40%, i was told that my factory windows are by default tinted by 5% so they use 40% for a final tint of 35% 3. After the fact that my tints were not the percentage i requested, ( confirmed with my dealership the windows were NOT tinted 5%), the owner stated that for me to get the darkness what i ORIGINALLY wanted, he would have to charge me the SAME price for the work as well as an additional charge for removal of the wrong tint that they installed!!! A month had not passed, but carisma conveniently states on the receipt , which does not detail the product provided, that refunds on services is contingent on owner approval. So it was obvious that i could not go that route of demanding a refund . It would have been a nice gesture to at least meet me halfway with a reduced cost for the service, considering that their explanation of their tints was given to me after the issue was brought up. I am instead using the money to have the tints service done the right way with honesty and integrity through boomers audio in merrimack, NH. They even offered a reduced quote of services when they heard my story. Hopefully this review can be used as a tool for service improvement for carisma and to ensure that any customer will not have to have the feeling that i had upon purchasing a car service or product.     Words aren't enough to describe how great Zeus is…read more When we lived in the area, we had struggled to find a decent mechanic. I know very little about cars -- but enough to price compare, and to understand what my mechanic is telling me or how to research it myself. Zeus has been a godsend that we've continued to travel to years after moving much closer to Boston. He takes pride in his work, and it shows! Most recently, our aging Mazda was making a grinding noise when braking (and/or slowing below 20mph). But the noise was not always present. We dropped the car off on a crazy Saturday morning -- and within an hour, got a call that it was all set and we could swing back in. They had done the oil change, but didn't have time for the "repair" needed for the noise. That said -- it was just gunk built up because the car sits around unused most of the time. He took pictures to show us, explained why it happened, why we hear the noise, and a few ways to help it prior to coming back in for a repair. When I asked for the repair price, expecting the worst -- I was dumbfounded. I don't know how he does it, but prices are always well below every mechanic we've been to. He doesn't push unnecessary work, loves explaining everything -- and makes sure you truly understand. Unless we no longer own cars, or move hours away, we'll continue to look to Zeus as our one-stop shop for anything car related.
