A few hours later, I received a call and was notified that my battery needed replacing. She gave me options on that brand and the quality of the battery would be compatible with my car. I bought the battery with the most amperage and warranty period. She had awesome customer service and patience. Sorry, I didn't get her name to give her a recognition.

To make everything as smooth as possible, I called this AutoZone ahead of time, provided my vehicle information, and asked them to put the correct parts aside so my mom could simply go in, pay for them, and bring them to me before my appointment. Unfortunately, when the mechanic arrived and began the repair, we discovered that the parts we were given were incorrect. When I called the store to verify the part number, the part number they had on their end was completely different from the part that had actually been set aside and sold to us. By this point, it was around 8 PM, and we were scrambling to figure out how to exchange the incorrect parts while my mechanic was already there. Since transportation was already an issue for me, this made the situation even more stressful. We decided to go to the Kapolei AutoZone to get the correct parts. What is most frustrating is that I now have to schedule another appointment with the mobile mechanic to complete the repairs because of an error that could have been avoided by making sure the correct parts were set aside in the first place. I understand that mistakes happen, but when a customer calls ahead specifically to verify and reserve parts because they are dealing with a broken down vehicle and limited transportation, accuracy is extremely important. This mistake cost us additional time, inconvenience, and another mechanic appointment

Huge shoutout to Tisha!…read more I had such a great experience at the Kapolei AutoZone, especially thanks to Tisha! My car broke down, and I had a mobile mechanic at my house working on my fuel pump, brakes, and rotors when we discovered that the parts I had purchased from another AutoZone location were incorrect. By this point, it was already around 9 PM, and we were scrambling to find the correct parts. We ended up going to the Kapolei location, and Tisha was amazing! She was helpful, patient, and took the time to make sure we were getting the correct parts. After an already stressful day dealing with a broken down car, transportation issues, and incorrect parts, having someone genuinely willing to help made such a difference. Thank you so much, Tisha, for helping turn an extremely frustrating situation around! Your customer service was greatly appreciated, especially that late in the evening. Because of this experience, Kapolei AutoZone will definitely be my preferred location moving forward.

Even though I left without the main item I came for, I was still able to browse their selection of car accessories and picked up a few useful things, including a car trash can, some headrest hooks, and a few air fresheners. While they didn't have the specific product I was looking for, they had a decent variety of everyday accessories that made the trip worthwhile.

My coworker recommended MJ Motorsports since she's had a bunch of her mods done there, and because my truck went from charcoal grey to Space White, I wanted something that fit the new aesthetic. The stock silver rims looked tired. Not terrible, but definitely not the vibe. I wanted something muted, sleek, and not attention-grabbing. The moment I got my truck back from paint, I booked it to MJ in Waipahu to check out their rim selection. And look -- I already knew what I was getting myself into. I've seen their website. My wallet was crying before I even parked, but this needed to happen. At this point it wasn't a want; it was self-care. Jordan greeted me and helped me out, taking all my questions and concerns like an AK‑47 on full auto -- clearly not his first rodeo. After about an hour of standing in place, I finally settled on a set of rims... of course choosing the one that wasn't readily available. It's fine. I was just happy I left with a purchase. Installation time was two or three weeks out. I think it was their tactic. They knew what they were doing. They were cooking. In actuality, I was cooking -- cooking up new damn ideas of what else to add to my truck. "Since I'm getting new rims, I should switch up the headlights." "Shoot, I also need to upgrade my dashcam, and their Wolfbox is on sale." Pulled the trigger. Gaddamn it. Installation day finally comes around, and honestly, I kind of had it coming. I originally wanted to reuse my old tires, but they were eight years old. The tread was barely used (I drive maybe 5k miles a year), but Hawaii UV does not play -- my tires were cracking and became a hazard. They couldn't install them. Had to buy tires. BFG KO3. Sounds badass. I'll take it. TPMS sensor change? Okay, fine. Wolfbox hardwire kit? Sure, go ahead. Lunch at Zippy's? Fck it, why not (jk). Wait one more week. But it was a trap. THEY. WERE. COOKING. They knew exactly what I was thinking, I swear. "Why you only get the headlights? Stock tail lights? You shame or what? Third brake light look more like broke light. GTFOH." BRUH. I have issues. But you know what? They did good. Jordan helped me through the whole process, answered my texts, and made everything painless and efficient. This ended up being the most expensive birthday present I've ever given myself. Just to be clear: I'm not a car guy. I just wanted to change the way my truck looked -- and MJ Motorsports made it happen.

I keep asking for updates or options (like a refund) but it's to the point where they won't respond to me so they're literally just keeping my money & I've seen their reviews where they've done that to other people. Like if it got lost from wherever you ordered it, how about you do something about it??? You're just gonna rip people off & keep our money & not respond to us??? Find or finish our shit or give us the money back. That's not even all, I actually spent about $1k total because ordered other parts that came in & I got those installed even though they were all supposed to go on together... Of course they weren't the right fitment because at this point I agree with all the people calling them clowns that don't know what they're doing... But they drilled all that shit on anyway without letting me see first. Whenever I asked for pics of the parts before I got it installed, they said they didn't have any. Anyway, the front lip doesn't match the angles on my bumper so it's probably for a different year Impreza and the mud flaps are obviously wrong too, there are floating screws that went through the mud flap but have nowhere to go on the car so they're just... There screwed into "thin air" LMAO literal joke. I can't even fathom it. What if the screws fall off & get stuck in my tire??? Literally never doing business here again & I suggest you don't either. Such a shame that they used to be a such good "name" in Hawaii but obviously they've gone downhill. I wanted to do so much with my car & would've given them so much business. I even wanted to full-body wrap my car & a lot of my friends said "I heard Tokyo Auto-" but the way I cut them off & told them my story & their reactions... I'll be sure to spread the word at the next car meet or anytime someone wants to talk about shops. I have all my photos, receipts, screenshots, & screen recordings. Don't do business here unless you want to lose money, get a shitty job done, get ignored, or in my case, all of the above.
