We needed the whole lot and he was very knowledgeable and instead of pushing us on products.. he said "this is what I use".. "this one is more preferred".. and made sure to let us know that a generic version of some things existed if we didn't super care for the high price of a certain product. I can't believe I never knew about this place before! They literally have everything you need to detail your car in this very unassuming building right off of Kam Highway in Pearl City. I came because someone from my mom's Subaru dealership told her about it and put her on to the water spot removal products they have here. As soon as I walked in, this really helpful associate named Chris came to assist me and brought me right to what I wanted after showing him a picture of what I was looking for. I got two water spot removal products, a detailing product for in between washes and two applicators all for $57.93 right after the awesome military discount they offer. *** BUYER BEWARE *** I was a loyal customer, not only to the Chemical Guy's products, but the Pearl City store until they burned me and obviously gave little regard to my business. One of the products I routinely purchase from them was their Black on Black at $14.97 a can. I typically keep at least 2 cans on hand, but with my last couple of purchases the spray cans were defective, in that when you try to spray it, 40% of the product runs down your fingers and all over the can onto your garage floor creating a mess. When I originally took them back, (nearly full) I was given 2 new cans. A few months later when I finished up my previous stock and began to use the then exchanged cans, I discovered that they were defective as well. When I returned them to the store, I did not want an exchange, but thought maybe they had some other product II could try. Instead, I was told that they were aware of the defective sprayer issue, but (here's the kicker), This time they were only going to offer me a lousy 20% discount on something else and then take back my returnand asked if they were full so that they could place them back on the shelf! Are you kidding me? What? And sell them to the next unweary customer? This knowing all along that they were defective! - Who does business like that? I may have lost $30 to them on a sub-par, defective product, but they lost my business and everyone else I can tell about their defective product and business practices. After desperately trying to find a product to get rid of the nasty water spots on my car at regular department stores, I can across Detail Garage and found that they sold chemical guys products in store. I've heard a lot about chemical guys so I came in looking for water spot remover. An employee, Vanessa so kindly greeted me and helped me out with my problem. We went outside to my car and she showed me various products to use and surely it worked well. So at this point, i'm already convinced and ready to buy whatever products she's going to give me. Vanessa set up a water spot remover kit with 3 different products, various microfiber towels and a sponge. The total was pricer than I anticipated but the products worked and that was all that mattered, the money was worth it and I am glad I came by here. Plug this location in your gps and bookmark it! It's a small spot so it's easy to drive past. I wasn't sure they were open as there were no cars in the front but there were definitely workers inside. Plus throughout the time being there, a handful of people were in and out, so they keep busy. Living off island I've only purchased online but it was great to finally make it in! We were greeted by Sara who ultimately helped us find what we came for and a few needed extras. She went above and beyond and helped do a few demos of products we may be interested in and gave recommendations. She was super helpful! The workers are so friendly and helpful! I came here for Memorial Day weekend sale which was 25% off everything in the store. First time going into the store and absolutely love. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable to car blemishes and such. Was even shown how to properly use the water spot removal! Was honestly going to just splat on their Heavy duty water spot remover.... when in reality you need a neautralizer because the gel alone would be too harsh on car paint. He showed me a few different options and then offered to look at my truck to get a full opinion. First time customer here. The building is of a old gas station. Pretty cool. Also parking is sparse. But as i was leaving i noticed parking to the left of the shop. I guess it was busy inside. 1 of the workers told me to wait outside. Be prepared. No shade. Was kinda hot. When he gave me the ok to go in. My first impression was, Whoa! This place is huge!! They only sell "Chemical Guys" detail supplies. But they are fully stocked for whatever you need. I gotta add well organized. I stopped by for a foam cannon. They had alot to choose from. So i asked an associate. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The one i chose and read up on is the one he recommended. I also asked about a drying towel. Again they had an assortment. I asked which one's would he recommend and what does he use on his own personal vehicle? He showed me 2. I took the bigger one. More towel to use for drying lol! Quality detail products is not cheap. I was recommended to get car supplies here after I had my car coated with Ceramic Coating with Street Shine Hawaii. This was my first time in the shop and the level of service given here by the staff is beyond. When I first entered the staff was helpful and ask what I was looking for specifically. Any questions I had I was able to ask and they educated me on the different products available. I specifically came in for the Ceramic Car Soap but ended up buying more than what I cam for. They have a huge selection of Chemical Guys products. I also bought the ProBlow dryer, when I got home I noticed it was missing a piece, so I called the store back and they told me to come back in and they'll give me the piece or replace it. One of the drawbacks to my new job is that the closest parking lots to work are filled with trees that drop some kind of blue berries, and the island's most poopingest birds! There has been days when I left work and my car looked like it was carpet bombed with bird kaka! So going to a car wash at over $20 a pop whenever the birds took a liking to my car wasn't an option. Complicating things further, my condo does not have an area where you could wash your car. A friend from work is an amateur detailing enthusiast, and he turned me onto Detail Garage in Pearl City. They are an affiliate of Chemical Guys, a car detail chain out of Gardena CA. Chemical Guys sells a very complete system of auto detailing supplies, tools, washes, waxes, polishes, etc for all types of auto detailers, from professionals to amateurs. Detail Garage is a good local alternative, considering that you cannot mail order items from Chemical Guys to Hawaii. With his help, input from the Detail Garage guys, and the myriad of "how to" videos on Youtube, I've developed a system that works for me: A rinseless wash and waterless wax once a week; rinseless wash and full wax once a month; and a complete detail (strip wash, compound, polish, gloss, seal, and wax) every six months (full wash &detail done at the 'rents house). It's amazing how much faster the whole detailing process goes when you use an orbital polisher, even one aimed for amateurs like the Torq-X. You use a lot less product too! Except for the stuff I use regularly like the wax, detail spray, waterless wax, rinseless wash, and pad conditioner, the other products last a while. One caveat- DG/CG has a lot of similar products e.g. several waxes, glosses, etc. I did a 'shotgun' approach and got several to figure out the ones I like best. Consequently I'm sitting on a multi-year supply. If I was to do it over again, I would have gotten one of each type and used them up first. Detail Guys also has a frequent buyers program keyed to your phone number, where your purchases lead to swag or discounted product. They also have several annual sales keyed to their anniversary and the Christmas shopping season. A good venue for Chemical Guys products! Repeat and recommend. read more

I have been wanting to check this place out for sometime and I finally got the chance to check it out! They're located right off of Kamehameha Hwy with their own private parking lot. They may looked closed, but not to worry they are open. When you walk in it's like a detailer's heaven! I was a little overwhelmed when I walked in but I knew what I wanted. I was greeted by 2 of their workers and was asked if I needed any help. I did let him know that I was looking for their tire shine that they had just posted on instagram. And they lead me right to it. I also purchased the Durafoam Contoured Large Tire Dressing Applicator with Wonder Wave to apply the tire wet look dressing. When I clean my car, I like to clean it inside out. So I also did get - Invisible super cleaner - Hydro Speed Ceramic Quick Detailer - Streak Free Window Cleaner - JDM Squash Scent - brings me back to my import days. For the air freshener sprays they do have sample bottles to the left of the shelf for you to sample on little sample sticks, like any perfume dept would have. When I checked out, they do ask you if you are part of their rewards program so you can collect points. Awesome place to grab supplies for you car. The guy who helped me was a big local guy today. Super nice n very friendly. He had great customer service too. He help me out on the question I was asking about. I went in to buy something that would clean my dirty rims . So he shared with about this orange cleaner that works real well.
