Being a short woman doing my own errands to fix my car, there's a lot of stereotypes typically…read morethrown around when I walk into any autozone looking for a part. I've had really bad customer service experiences with other stores nearby so I thought I should give this location a try. Immediately when I walk in I see it's not busy. Three employees were talking amongst themselves but once they saw me all asked to provide assistance. Let me tell you how awkward and loud it got... It didn't. The men were very respectful when I declined for help and waited at their respective posts. So my problem today was that my AC unit wasn't blowing any cold air. Typical me just assumed I needed AC/coolant liquid. I walk up to the cashier with a gallon's worth and really inquire on my problem. He asks to take a look at my car, which is what happened, and he recommended to recharge my AC thingy, (there goes my knowledge). I had NO idea what that was and was completely blown away by this technique I've never heard of. He walked me through the procedure, and found what appropriate sized canister was best. Completely professional. As I'm purchasing the product, the store manager comes up to ask me on my prior knowledge of this. I tell him I don't know anything, he tells me all the tips & tricks & the do's & do not's.. I was completely frozen in fear and anxiety. Luckily, he was nice enough to even do the WHOLE recharging procedure outside with me in today's heat. We stood outside for 15-20 minutes just periodically checking the AC vents in my car to feel if any effort amounted to anything. I was concerned that I needed to replace something or fix another thing. The manager kept reassuring me that as long as a wheel was running I should be fine. Long story short, I got what I needed: a lesson & a very cold car. I give huge props to the gentlemen inside as well as Andres, the store manager on duty. His customer service etiquette really changed my perspective on the Autozone locations here.

He claimed that the small screw was for holding the motherboard and didn't need removal. He had the keys to my home and handed me back the single key. When I asked about my keys, he took a couple minutes to locate them. Didn't appreciate his sense of humor, nothing funny about getting locked outside in the cold weather. I purchased a battery from Walgreens that didn't appear to work. I noted the polarity when removing the battery. Next day I went to Honda. Honda informed me that the battery had been installed incorrectly. They indicted that the screw should have been removed rather than stripped. Well he did warn me that he might break it. Wish he would have mentioned putting the battery back in the wrong way.

This is our auto parts Place because they are so helpful and had our parts in stock every time we…read morecalled. The place is very clean and well stocked and they have a good amount of people staffed at this location vs the one closer to us. I would recommend to call ahead if you need a particular auto part that they have it available for your car and model and ask them if they're able to install it. They carry a lot of brands from oils, wipers, tools, accessories for your car to choose from and you can get rewards for discounts. Prices are decent and they are helpful too. This place is a gold nugget! It's a standalone building with its own parking lot off of Irving Park Road. We've have always been happy coming here when we have to get parts of our older cars like my mom's car Prius which is 2013. We've had windshield wipers replaced, windshield fluids, little lightbulbs purchases and installed free of charge...but we always tip for their labor which is free. Today We really needed our main headlight to be replaced quick because we didn't want to get pulled over for a broken headlight. Sebatian who helped us get the right headlight part (he started working here for a month), he was kind enough to replace our headlight at no charge but of course my mom happily tipped him. You see...We got a quote from a local mechanic shop that told us they would have to remove the entire bumper just to get to the headlight to replace it. They were about to charge us over $400 which she couldn't afford but didn't want to drive at night with a broken headlight. Let's say she spent less than a price of a combo meal! Thank God for this place! Overall, we will go to this place again and again for auto parts, decent prices and fee instillation when they are available to help!

The staff in Niles were incredibly helpful they checked my profile, verified my warranty, and informed me that I could get a replacement battery at no charge. Since I didn't have my car with me at the time and live closer to Jefferson Park, I went there instead. Unfortunately, my experience was drastically different. The employee at this location (wearing gray) was unprofessional and dismissive. He initially claimed he couldn't find me in the system, but when I checked myself, my profile and warranty were clearly there. Still, he insisted I wasn't covered. To make matters worse, he made a completely inappropriate comment suggesting that some people "do this kind of stuff" when their warranty is almost up implying I was trying to scam the system. I was shocked and offended, especially since my car had genuinely failed to start that morning and I needed a jump just to get there. When I stepped out to explain the situation to my uncle, he came in to talk to the employee. At that point, the employee began changing his story and seemed nervous when my uncle mentioned legal consequences for denying a valid warranty claim. I left feeling discriminated against and belittled, especially as a woman just trying to get a legitimate issue resolved. I've never had this kind of experience at AutoZone before, and I hope the company takes steps to ensure all customers are treated with respect and fairness regardless of who they are or which location they visit.
