That's how nice he was. I was in and out! I barely finished my chicken biscuit before they already had my car in the garage. First class people...from desk staff to the tire guy. There was a semi tall skinny white young dude that said hello to me...he didn't have to but he did and that was nice of him...he was busy but he noticed me and nodded. And I hate being like this...but I don't know his name...but he is a tall slender black dude with good hair...like I said...I hate saying.."the black dude"... but I don't know his name...but I told them to just throw the spare in the back seat...but he pulled out an extremely heavyweight toolbox and other crap in my trunk to place the spare back to its home. He said ok, and then continued to pester my wife until she gave in and spent a LOT of money unnecessarily. To say I am angry is putting mildly. They didn't even rotate or balance the tires, so I will still have to spend more to get what I originally went in for done! All of the tires are now overinflated as well! I used to like Discount Tire a lot. I am never going back there again, and will recommend to others that they avoid it. However i was offered (by an employee who seemed rather pushy) "interest free" on their credit card and was told it was for 18 months. No physical statements and just discovered that it was 12 months. Statement shows a balance of close to $1400 as they just added well over $600 in interest charges at over 30%. I was making regular payments to cover this purchase. I used to hold them in high regard, everything else is great. I will never return. I really dislike deception. My guess is the employees get a bonus for selling the "interest free" card. I am totally disgusted.

Our insurance company messed up on our coverage (not Automan's fault), but the way Automan handled it was 100% their fault. RUDE! RUDE! RUDE! We referred to our insurance company for payment. When we called back to give info about who to contact about the payment issue, the guy was short, aggressive and rude to OUR receptionist. Our insurance company spoke with the same guy multiple times and we still received a certified letter threatening to sue. Just feels like the whole situation could have been diffused had they taken a moment to explain things to us with the courtesy you should treat human beings with verses the disrespect we received. I am unable to attest to the quality of work, but I wouldn't put my blood pressure through interacting with this group ever again.

I was told after 1 hour and 45 minutes they were waiting on a filter. I don't understand the point of making an appointment if the required items aren't there at time of service. I was charged 17 dollars for an additive I did not request, nor was I told this was being included. On top of that, what used to be a roughly 40 dollar service cost me 91, even after a 15 dollar discount for making me wait. There's no longer any advantage to coming here versus a quick service that's actually cheaper at this point. I will no longer be bringing either of my cars here.

I have an extended warranty on my vehicle and the warranty uses the RepairPal network, to which…read morethis location belongs. When starting to schedule service for my warranty work, this was the recommended place from that warranty so I chose it. I called to verify my appointment and the details of working with my warranty and Kingsport Tire and Auto told me that if the warranty didn't pay what they quoted, I would be responsible for the difference. This isn't true according to the warranty service (I called them AND it's on their website). If you read my warranty and service info it clearly states that they (Kingsport Tire and Auto) have to accept the warranty coverage amount and I do not pay any difference with their desired price (I only pay my deductible). Instead of seeing how this played out I just canceled my appointment with them. But they need to be aware that to be part of the RepairPal network, the service center (Kingsport Tire and Auto in this case) AGREES to accept the warranty-paid price (they provide a range) and not charge the customer any additional amount (taxes not included I believe). So this place was trying to circumvent that agreement. I reported them to RepairPal so maybe they will understand this going forward.

When I arrived, I was told that they did not work on my type of vehicle or perform the service I needed. What confused me was that I had been told by multiple people that they had received the same or similar service from this shop. The information I was given beforehand did not match what happened when I arrived. I cannot say why I was turned away, but the experience left me feeling disappointed and uncomfortable. I would recommend that the shop clearly communicate what vehicles and services they accept so customers can avoid wasting their time.

I occasionally use another place, depending on the vehicle or town in I'm, and they aren't always so speedy. Locally, Jiffy Lube is my go-to place. 180 degrees from the oil-brand-named place that I avoid due to a really bad customer experience there. No complaints, other than the location and the crazy place to leave the business and re-enter traffic. I wish this was closer to home and in the towns I frequent most often.

The service was performed quickly with an inspection that was comprehensive compared to what we had done before. They pointed out issues that are eventually going to need to be addressed but indicated that could be addressed later.
