I WILL BUY ELSEWHERE NEXT TIME I ordered parts online and received a notice that my parts were ready. I arrived at the store to find a big sign with "ORDER PICKUP". I stood there patiently for 10 minutes while they helped customers they were engaged with. One of the two people made eye contact with me, no greeting. After another 5 minutes the person who made eye contact called the next person in their line. I finally had to walk over and cut in on their conversation to find I needed to get in the regular line because their online pickup like was not active, nothing at the register to let me know. After another 10 minutes, I was helped, they pulled my parts from the "ORDER PICKUP" area. O' Reilly says they are "Professional Parts People" apparently that does not include Customer Service. read more

"You have a bad battery," he said. He replaced the battery and the problem was solved. Why did O'Reilly not tell me battery was bad? Been a customer at this location for many years without any issues. In fact, I normally get excellent customer service which is the primary reason why I keep coming back. FYI - Employee "Ryan" needs some more training. I just spent five minutes standing in line with nobody else was around while he was playing on his smart phone behind the counter. I finally asked him "are you working the register" and his response was, "yeah". The two old men who are probably the managers here are very friendly. I pulled in late in the evening because of a tire pressure light and when they saw me park in front of the store and was checking my tires they came outside right away and asked if everything's alright whether I need snow chains or a tire change. Overall good service and friendly, I didn't even have to walk inside the store to get it checked out. Turns out nothing wrong with the tires they inspected it and said it's probably a dirty tire pressure sensor due to the mud and rain. read more

I don't know much at all about cars, I was recommended a body shop in town and they told me I needed a new engine, there I was ready to let it sit and continue making payments while taking the bus to work, luckily, a guy messaged me through the next door app offering to take a look, so I got towed home and hit him up. His first thought was I needed new spark plugs, but we went to O reilly and the guys here suggested checking out the mass airflow sensor, so we did and what do you know, they were right! Yet, when her battery in her car dies she calls her mommy and big sister to come help her? You find yourself standing in line, a very long line, at Kragen the day after Thanksgiving. I was pretty much hands off with the battery removal but my job was to stand in the crazy long line while my mom got some Wire Brushes to clean the battery case. We were very thankful that Kragen was open on this day because otherwise having to deal with a miserable 19 year old sister is pretty bad at our house. They had the correct battery but there was no rebates going on that day. Also the girl working behind the counter rocked and really answered my sisters questions. Plus my mom found her Wire Brushes in the clearance bin of $2.99 for a whole set of like 6 brushes. Quite a deal! My mom installed the battery fine and the car started right up. (P.S. I've been here 3x in the last 6 days. Each Time the service was friendly and efficient. I generally give a wide berth in my expectations of auto stores. There is a wide range of model/makes on the road today and each company has its own spin on things. I think it's an unreasonable expectation to expect staff to be versed in all makes. I have an older Mercedes suv, and Mercedes are...complicated. It was refreshing to speak with the customer service agent "Freddie". He was knowledgeable with my Mercedes and gave me quite good advice and looked up part numbers efficiently and like a pro. A couple of the sales people there are less versed and things were more time consuming (not a complaint). Each time I spoke to Freddie he knew what I wanted and handled my calls speedily. Sure enough my battery was 6 yrs old and needed replacing. I was gonna buy it from AAA where I got my last one. 6 yrs for a battery is great. However when I went back to my truck it did not start. My car was turning over slow so I went after work to OReilly Auto Parts in Livermore and Freddy ask me if I needed help. I told him about my car and asked if he could check the battery. He went outside with me and had trouble checking the battery but at that time I noticed some corrosion. After trying several times to test my battery he gave up. I told him that I was going out of town tomorrow and that I would just like to replace the battery. He said he couldn't tonight. I told him that the store was opened for over two more hours but he said he wasn't even supposed to be outside. Why??? He said there was only two at the store and I told him that there were no customers! I ended up leaving and calling back for the managers name. He hesitated but then gave me a ladies name of LAZ. I recently went in to Kragen to get some fuses for my car. Seeing that they were out , I asked at the counter if they had any. They said "Yes, but they are probably underneath 10 or so boxes of stuff, you should go and try wal-mart." They had a small line at the register but other than that they had enough employees on the floor,at the time to assist all the customers. There is no excuse why they could not get the fuses other than pure lazyness. I was shocked that they did not offer to go and get the fuses and referred me drive all the way across town to take a gander of what wal-mart had. read more

I'm a girl who doesn't generally deal with car parts, car problems, etc. However, I've had to come in here on different occasions for basics (car batteries, jumper cables, etc). They have always been super friendly! Today, I did a little research online and saw a battery I wanted for one of our cars, it was $40 less than one of the higher end ones. I called and spoke to a gentlemen who checked and saw they didn't have the one I wanted in stock. He looked to see if he could find me another one but no luck. I was stuck with the higher end one (and since I needed it, I was stuck). He offered me options as far as other stores that carried the one I was looking for, but they were too far away. He also said they would help me change the batteries in my key fob. Did I mention I'm a girl?? In any case, very nice and knowledgeable staff that I encountered, helpful, and spent the time to go over the differences in the two batteries I was considering. Super pleased! read more
