I visited this store because the batteries for my RV coach had died unreasonably early. Employee, possibly a manager, wanted to feed me a bunch of BS as to why the batteries I bought died in just 18 months. When I said "I think..." He cut me off, saying "I don't care what you think!" Nice. Such a great way to NOT de-escalate an already bad situation. Do not buy batteries from O'Reilly's and especially do not support this particular store - on Jefferson. This is the third time O Reilly's has helped me with my Jeep Patriot. I went into O Reilly's to get some stuff to change my oil. Matt was helping me. I mentioned that my Jeep loses power when needed especially going up hills. Matt suggested he uses his gadget to see if there are any code issues. One code issue came back and Matt thought my lack of power was coming from the dead sparkplug. I have a 4 cylinder vehicle. I bought for sparkplugs for $13. Matt helped me replace them by walking me through it. A+ service. If I went to a dealership, they would've screwed me for $600. Standing there and making sure my vehicle was 100% ready to drive, my experience with Matt restored some of my faith in society. On last visit worker opened door for me on my way in. I was welcomed by 2 employees and asked if they could help me find something. Now this is not a one time thing. Honestly, I'm not even sure if my recent experience here could be properly described as "A-OK"... however, it wasn't really horrible I guess. I brought in some A7 rotors that needed to be resurfaced and the first guy told me "No, we can't... rotors are too thin" or something. Another comes over and says "Yeah, we can do them... should take about an hour" I paid and told him to call me as soon as it was done since I need the car back ASAP... two hours later and still no call. I finally call in and they say "Yeah, they're done" It wasn't a big deal, but it's annoying if you give a time frame and agree to follow up, and then don't. My husband and I went to O'Reilly's for several items and walked out with none! I was looking for a new battery for my car remote. I asked one associate and he pointed me to the display and walked back behind the counter. I don't know which battery I needed so I stood there and said I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Did the associate come back around to assist me? NO! My husband was looking for a certain kind of car wax. We stood in that section for several minutes searching while the THREE associates stood behind the counter complaining about the hours they were getting. None of them even acted like we were in the store, never mind offering to help us! We finally found the wax... but left anyway because we were not happy with the customer service. When we left, not one of the 3 associates acknowledged us or thanked us for coming in. Also, be aware... when you walk up to go in you are greeted by a big nasty ash tray right outside the front door! Way to go O'Reilly's! We will NOT be back! We went right across the street to AutoZone. The minute we walked in Joshua greeted us and made us feel welcome. I have been going to this particular O'Reilly's store for a few years now, nothing major, just batteries, brake pads, etc., and they have always had great customer service, but today they really went above and beyond. I bought a set of front brake pads today for my 2002 Grand Prix GTP, and got the pads I thought I had bought before (MX818). I got everything ready to replace the pads and noticed that the pad material (on the new pads) had a lot less material than the pads I was replacing. What I mean by that is the foot-print of the pad material on the new pads was substantially reduced from the old pads I was replacing. I called and spoke with Jon the manager and asked him to see if these were the same pads I had bought before, and they were not. The pads I was replacing were Wagner QC699, and I wanted the same pads with the same foot-print of the pad material, in my book, more pad on rotor = better stopping power. It was my mistake that I bought the different pads, not Jon's, I got the pads I asked for. I was kind of stuck though as I could not go get the correct pads with my wheels off and calipers resting on the rotors, so Jon sent his driver over to deliver the pads that I needed and I exchanged them and went back to work replacing my front brake pads. Jon and O'Reilly Auto Parts really saved me a lot of time and headache today. 5 stars all the way!!! read more

When my car lost power on the freeway in Murrieta, I managed to steer it off the next exit only to find myself across the street from an O'Reilly's Auto Parts. I pulled into their lot and as I get out of my car, i see that the engine is smoking. So, I get out and ask for help from one of the staff inside ("Conway" engraved on his shirt). He came out and looked under the hood and announced that my fan belt was gone! This was on a Sunday, after 4pm. He doubted that anyone in the area was open who could help me. But lo and behold, he placed some calls and came out with a card to a shop not more than a mile away who said they were willing to wait for me to be towed over there. I always used to shop at Napa good selection. I called in one day because I needed a brake controller for my RV. Tom the owner answered the call and I asked him if he could tell me what brands of controllers he had. he seemed irritated for some reason and told me he has all kinds and asked me to come in the store and look for myself. I said I live 30 mins away and didn't want to drive there for no reason he then said why don't you go online and look them up I chuckled and said why don't you get off your ass and go look and see what brand you have. He didn't like that nevertheless Tom lost a pretty good customer. Funny enough I called O"Reilly auto parts down the street and asked the same question and the kid that answered was out of breath from running when he got back on the phone to tell me about all the brake controllers he had on the shelf. I called on to order a part for my truck on a Thursday and the sales associate said it would be in the next day. When I got to the store to pay, a different sales associate said it would arrive Monday or Tuesday and they would call me when they get it. I called back the following Thursday (a week later!) because I had not yet received a call. When I explained the situation, a different associate told me that it was in and I could pick it up. I asked him when it got in and he said about 24 hours after I picked it up. I then asked him why he did not call me when I got in and he said he didn't know but I could come pick it up tonight if I get there before nine. I asked if you could deliver it to me because they lied to me about calling me when I got in and he said no we only deliver to commercial businesses. I did not get an apology nor did they try to rectify the situation and when I went to pick up the part the original sales associate asked me for payment and said that I only ordered the part two days ago.
