i bought a tri-fold tunnel cover for 2017 Titan crew cab. After a week of having it on my truck I drove to vegas. Once i started driving over 60 MPH i could hear a constant flapping and that was with my windows rolled up and the music on. It was the rubber seal near the rear windown on the trifold to prevent water from running into the bed. I took it back and the owner did not want to fix the problem. His partnet came out and told me he would take care of it. When they were done, they had cut the rubber seal off with and put a black sealant all along the edge so the tri-fold basicaly cannot be removed unless you pull the sealant off. overall they did a very shitty job. would not recommend them for anything. No stars if i could. read more

I bought a new lock ($53.29) for an old Snug Top shell from these folks. It had only (1) key with it. I was told a second would be ordered without an issue. It is now 14 days later, four phone calls and each time I was promised a key. Still no key ! and "NOW" their statement is "WE HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING REPLACEMENTS". I informed the phone taker I would have never bought the lock if I had known it came with only one key! She seemed to really not care nor give any advice or further help to settle the matter. Very lucky it wasn't a new shell @ $3000.00 with the lousy customer service they provide. I closed my telephone call with, "I guess I'm stuck with one key?" She said, "yes". I had purchased a weight distribution hitch set up that didn't include the ball mounted to the hitch. The ball I purchased needed to be torqued to 450 foot pounds, I don't have a torque wrench that high nor did I want to pay 5-600 to buy one for 1 time use. I called around most of Murrieta and Temecula and everyone either couldn't do it or wanted to charge me a hour labor at 160 an hour to torque it. Leer truck shop told me to come in the next day and when I asked how much they told me don't worry about it that they are glad to help. This kind of help and customer service is almost none existent anymore! I will be buying all my truck accessories here from now on, they gained a customer for life. read more

I bought a LEER truck cap in November of 2021 with a wait time of 2 months because of Covid. Fair enough. On January 4th I was admitted into the hospital with Covid and other related issues. LEER Truck Accessory was notified of my issues. In April I was released and notified LTAC that I wanted to top installed, date was set and the installation completed... so I thought. The keys to the lock were missing, the top had several scratches and protective strip to protect the tailgate was excessively scratched. They said the would order the part to make repairs, and keys. I made several visits complaining about the repairs. They basically flipped me off. I bout my own lock for $32. It's now February 2023. This place is a disgrace and LEER Inc is even worse. I wouldn't buy " anything " from here.. LTA Temecula. read more

Ernie and the guys at Leer knocked out a spray in bedliner on my 2021 dodge 1500 Laramie over the weekend and really did a great job. They used the Qwik Liner on my truck which has a lifetime warranty and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. October 31/2020 my shell was installed. Within one week the rubber started coming off hanging from the back window. We took it in and they fixed. Within two weeks it started coming off again. We took it in they fixed it. December 16th, less than two months later the key lock came loose and fell out. On February 15th , 2021 I opened the rear windows like I always do for my pups and for some reason it shatter into pieces. I always use light force. On 24th they fixed the window after my wife talked and explained to them on the phone. Who ever was on the phone told my wife "we'll cover it." After the window was fixed we were informed we had to still pay parts (100.00$). On March 14th 2022 only 11/2 years after purchasing the back lock comes apart again. We were charged parts and labor 110.00$. Side note it took them minutes to complete. When my wife and I were shopping for a shell, it was obvious that LEER owned the internet for Top of Line shells. I was excited. It was going to be a big change in our lives. When they charged us for the window my heart started sinking. Then the lock again 11/2 years later. The shell that we ordered was delayed. I was ok with that and was happy to wait. I was given an estimated time for the shell to arrive and no one called to let me know the status , so I called to ask and they told it would be another 2 months due to setbacks with glass. After 2 months I called again and was told that I would be called back in an hour with more info. No one called back. I called once a week for the next 6 weeks with the exact same result. "I'll call back in an hour to let you know"......crickets)....... After 7 months, the shell arrived and we made an appt to have it installed. I asked how long it might take and was given an estimate of 1.5 hours. I'm still waiting 4 hours later..... We had some plans for today, but will likely not be able to make it to our destination because of the unexpected, extra long wait. After waiting for about 2.5 hours, I asked how long they think it might be. 45 mins was the answer. That was an hour ago. I wouldn't mind waiting. I would just like to be given a more accurate expectation, or at least a heads up if it's taking much longer than expected. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Communication is a big problem here no matter who you talk to. I hope the end product is excellent because I would reallly rather not have to come back to this place. read more

I bought a Leer Camper Shell from this shop 14 years ago. The order was fouled up and not ready as promised. The owner was the only person there who seemed to know what was going on. When it finally did arrive the installation went well. When the top of the shell began to leak some years later I returned it under warranty for a rebuild. Leer sent an incorrectly optioned rebuild twice and got it right the third time. I'm not sure who was at fault, but it took months to get it right. Yesterday, I called in the morning to order a replacement tailgate lock because the old one had broken. I was told I would get a call back in a little while after they checked availability and to schedule installation. When no one called after 5 hours I called back. Spoke with a different person who couldn't find any information on my previous call. He took the information again and said he would call back later. More than a day after, still no call. Waste of time. Meanwhile, I ordered the part on Amazon. They delivered it within 24 hours. It took about 20 minutes to install. read more

Unfortunately, since I wrote this company a 5-star review, my subsequent experiences were less than stellar. There were several occasions when I called and was told they were busy and would call me back. Each time, I left my number and NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK! A few weeks ago, this happened when I called to order an air horn and set up an appointment to have it installed. I finally got disgusted and called another shop down the street, 4 Wheel Parts Performance Centers, which is rated very high on Yelp. 4 Wheel Parts Performance took great care of me and earned the $500 that would have gone to Leer. My truck was broken into and the two side windows of the camper shell were smashed out. I took it to this shop and was told they could fix it. I gave them $100 deposit, three weeks later I still hadn't heard anything from them. When I called, I was told they hadn't even ordered the new glass yet. About a week later they finally called me in to have the work done. I waited about 30 minutes in the shop, and was then told they had received the wrong parts, so they could not complete the work. Another three weeks passed and I still hadn't heard from them. After a month and a half, I got my deposit back. It seems they are just not interested in gaining new business. I normally like to support local businesses. I am now in the market for a spray liner, but feel there's no way I can bring it to this shop. I'll have to bring my business elsewhere. read more

Learned my lesson with this shop. Purchased a Leer tri-fold cover that comes with a 3 year warranty. I was 2 months over the 3 year mark. I get it, out of warranty, but here's the thing... The last section of the cover came apart, due to no fault of my own. It's hinged with a piece of rubber. Seems like it would be an easy enough fix just replace the rubber piece and good as new right? Well according to the shop, it cannot be replaced. I left my cover with them for 3 days to see if they could figure out a way to salvage the cover that I spent $1,000 on just 3 years ago. I also asked that they contact their Leer Sales Rep to see if there's anything he could do to help out the situation. I was told that the Leer Rep offered $50 off a new Leer Cover. Really, $50 off of a new Leer Cover after the last one I purchased literally fell apart on me. It was a bad design and I paid the price. Neither Leer nor Leer Truck Accessory Center in Murrieta offered to accommodate in any reasonable fashion. $50 is not an accommodation, it's a middle finger to the person who already got screwed. To add insult to injury, when I examined the cover (upon getting it back from this shop) it was badly scratched in multiple places, they did NOT put all the screws back in that they took out, and the support bar was broken off. My cover with a simple manufacture defect was returned to me beat to hell. They handed me a replacement support bar, but I didn't notice the scratches until the next day as it was dark when I picked it up. I really don't think this shop went to bat for me as a customer with regards to Leer, and they will not have your back either as a customer if you choose to do business with them. My 3 year old Tonneau cover now sits in a dumpster of a competitors shop where I'm purchasing my next cover. Leer and Leer Truck Accessory Center of Murrieta, you disgust me! I will make sure to share this experience with anyone and everyone I can, especially when they get a new truck and want a cover or cap! I never act like a big adult baby inside of a business getting loud or making a scene, perhaps that's why they didn't go to bat for me. I suppose sometimes someone just needs to act like a raging lunatic to get their way, which I won't do. But I will always feel like the manufacture and the shop ripped me off to the tune of $1000. PS, all you would have had to do is pretend that you actually cared about my problem with a product that I purchased from you and offer some sort of a win-win solution for both of us. I wouldn't expect you to take a bath on the cost of a new cover, but to retain a customer, you could have sold it at cost. You failed miserably in both areas and of course lost at least one customer for life and as many others as I can warn away from you. I bought a pre-owned truck shell and needed the wiring for the 3rd brake light. Leer Truck center wired it up for me and also installed a 12-volt outlet in my truck. They charged what I considered to be a very reasonable price. Fast Forward a month and a half and I decide to trade in my truck for a new one. The dealer moved my shell to the new truck but wouldn't do the wiring. I went back to Leer Truck center and they rewired the brake light and power outlet and didn't even charge me for it. That is awesome customer service. Every experience I have had has been great and will be going back for some other upgrades I want to do to my truck. read more

I ordered a Snug Top shell in December and when it arrived in January this year I had it installed along with some Yakima roof tracks. They did a nice job on the installation and were pleasant to deal with. I was happy until I was being handed my keys by the salesperson, Louis maybe (?), and he said that I would need to get and insert the four nut plates into the tracks for them to be used with my roof racks. He said I would need to remove the end caps from the tracks, insert the nut plates and replace the end caps. He cautioned me to make sure I used plenty of sealant so there would be no leaks. The only reason I had these guys install the tracks was because they told me Snug Top would not warranty the shell for no leaks was if they did the install. I have installed Yakima tracks on two previous shells with no problems but I went with these guys so as to keep the warranty. As it is now I don't know if I remove and replace the end cap screws if the warranty will be good. I could of bought the nut plates and brought them with me had they told me before hand. I spent nearly $3,600.00 with them and they are either too cheap to include the nut plates or carelessly forgot to tell me to get my own. It's been three months and I am still ticked off about it. read more

My camper shell was installed, another customer was double-booked at the same appointment and discovered that he had also been waiting for installation after paying in full due to the order being forgotten to be placed... however, we were both happy to finally getting our products installed despite missing planned camping trips. BUT WAIT... they did not have the roof racks in yet, on backorder, ok I've waited this long so that's not a big deal, seems to be par for the course. Then I inspect the installation and they forgot to install the carpet bed liner I had also purchased... so I had to come in again for them to install it the next day... next day comes and turns out they ordered the wrong size... employee apologizes and ensures me that Ron will call me the next day...
