I highly suggest you DO NOT get your battery replaced here. I meant to write a review when I initially purchased my 2nd battery here because they gave me the run around about installing it. I called to ask if they had time to install a new battery and they said yes, had my car jumped by AAA, drove there and parked my car to go in and buy the battery and they said they didn't have time for an install. Came out and my car wouldn't start so they had to jump me and sent me to the location on Park who promptly sent me back here. It was extremely inconvenient and wasted a lot of my time. Fast forward to today, I come out and my car won't start. It was completely dead, lights, radio, nothing is working. Super odd because I just purchased the battery from them last year. AAA comes to give me a jump and before he even connects the jumper cables he's like "who installed this battery? It's loose and the bolts that connect it aren't even tightened." Fucking O'Reilly's I replied. I remember when they did the install the guy was really rushed, and it took him a minute to figure it out. He seemed really frustrated and I don't remember him tightening any bolts. This all makes sense now because I've come out to my car a few times and it seemed like the battery was dead but then it started a few minutes later. This all makes sense now; there was a loose connection because the battery terminal wasn't tightened properly. I actually purchased my previous battery from them and it died in a little over two years. It was right out of the warranty, but batteries generally last much longer than that. I'm wondering now if they didn't install that one properly. I have zero trust in O'Reilly and will never purchase anything them again let alone allow them to install anything in my car. read more

It's your job to serve your customers...... Walked up to her with a smile and handed a receipt for will-call. Hi My name is Mona Lisa Vito and I'm a FTR slut. This marks the second time I've had to install a battery in the last several months. For all you ladies that don't know how, all you need is a pencil skirt, heels, and a socket wrench. It's a simple process and takes about five minutes to do so. Helpful tips: ~ Return the old battery and O'Reilly's will refund a deposit. ~ Don't electrocute yourself, keep the keys in your pocket until the battery has been installed. ~ Don't worry about your nails, with a socket wrench, you'll barely get your hands dirty. ~ The battery itself is heavy. I had no problems removing it and installing it, but if you do, that's where the pencil skirt and heels come in handy. Good luck ladies! read more

If I could leave a zero I would. Last Wednesday a little before noon I was driving East on High street in Oakland. When I was cut off by a drive in a small white pickup truck. A couple of stop light later I was still behind the truck and took a picture of the back of it so I would have all the information I would need to file a complaint, the drives looked back at me, Appear to be laughing and flipped me off. When I got home I called the phone # on the "how is my driving" sticker and found out that the vehicle was connected to O'Reilly's auto parts, the one on international Blvd. I talked to a nice guy "Levi". And he said he would contact the manager and have them call me. After an additional 3 phone calls to the 800# over the course of a week and obviously I have not received any calls from anyone. This store has everything that you could possibly need to make smaller repairs on your vehicle, but they tend to charge more $$$ in comparison with somewhere like Auto Zone or Kragen. The employees here are usually fairly helpful in getting you exactly what you need, but many of them don't have any type of automotive background, so be sure to bring the specific product numbers for parts you need or know where to find them, as more often than not; they will send you away with an incorrect bulbs, fuses or oil. I would have rated this location higher, but I always find it to be a hassle to borrow tools from them, and they always have way too many homeless people hanging out or camping throughout the parking lot. read more

Went in today for a replacement headlight. I barely took a step in the door when I was asked by Robert if I needed help. I told him what I needed and before he could look it up on the computer, another employee was racing to grab what he thought was the part on the shelves! Turns out it was a different part upstairs, BUT the other guy grabbed it in 2 seconds, they were joking around about part guessing in a good humored way, Robert checked me out, then offered to install it for me! After 5 minutes I was on my way, spent only $10, and had the light installed for no extra fee. No that's what I call friendly service! read more

I have been coming here for a while now. The customer service decrease as people change often. Is it the area? Out-of-the hood program? I was wondering did I do something to piss them off? Did I miss some thing? I mean stopping yelling at me I am just here to look for some parts. One time I was at the store they told me they did not have the part in stock but the one in MacArthur has it. So ok I am head that way and found out they did not have the part. Finally they looked at the wrong part for this whole time. I did not even get a "sorry". Oh and one more classic. I tell them I have a 2000 blah blah car 6 cylinders. buyer beware with their battery scam at autozone. charge your batteries at o'reilly. i don't do too many reviews so this one will probably be filtered soon. but if i can save somebody some money or if upper management at autozone (assuming they don't know) decides to fix the problem soon before the reviews are filtered then i've done my job. i had two batteries that were less than two months old. they were low-- probably because they had been sitting in my truck for for a long time. i took them to autozone (one at a time) for charging. two hours later each time i came back to pick them up the nice gentleman at the desk told me that batteries were bad (i still have the 'bad' tags) and offered to sell me a new one for over $100 each. i decided to try oreilly with one of them. two hours later oreilly told me my battery was charged and ready. so i brought the other one. that one was good as well. so with the money i saved i was able to buy other things i needed for my truck from o'reilly. i only wish i did the same with the other 5 batteries from my company's fleet i traded in for core recently after testing them at autozone. nowadays i don't have too much money to waste so i have to spend it wisely. read more
