This particular O'Reilly Auto Parts is located at the very end of Webster street in Alameda. Great location with a parking lot. I usually come here for simple auto parts like all weather floor mats etc. On this occasion I needed windshield wipers desperately (being that I haven't changed them in a few years) during the little rain showers we had last week in the Bay Area. Walking in I was greeted by an employee Adrian. He asked if I needed any assistance and I told him I was looking for windshield wiper blades. He looked up the size for my car and helped me decide which brand to buy. After purchasing the wiper blades, Adrian also assisted me by attaching the new ones to my car in the parking lot. I thought he provided very good customer service. So for simple Auto Parts and good customer service, this location is great. read more

So I had a issue with my car and didn't know what was wrong with it. It would not start so I pushed it a few blocks to this O'Reilly's and I have an older model car so I didn't know what was wrong. Joseph helped me out by testing the battery alternator and starter. We didn't know what it was till he said it might be the spark plugs. They got switched out and I was back on the road. He was such a wonderful help and went above and beyond to help me. I felt at ease with the conversations and assistance. There's times you can tell when someone enjoys their job and Joseph sure does. Went in to buy a jug of anti-freeze. Cashier was able to confirm it was the right kind for my Tacoma truck. Easy transaction, no problem. Should earn them 5-stars. But then I go out to the parking lot, I encounter O'Reilly employees loitering in the lot. They are in uniform, and standing in the lot talking. I try to back out, and they don't move aside. So I give a honk, and he says "I see you!" if you see me, then move aside. I'll be driving to your Blanding avenue location from now on. read more

Amazing service here, every single time. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful and polite. They are seriously awesome. Each employee also seems to have a specialty where they're advanced on a certain area such as Miguel who was incredibly helpful with the electricity and circuitry for our boat trailer. Date: 9/3/2019 Time: 1:15 PM 67° Mostly sunny My husband started up our car and it sounded funny. He checked the oil, which was low. Okay, before we start running errands around in town and Oakland, it is a pit stop at O'Reilly's, which is in the 'hood. The place is empty except for the cashier. We need a few quarts of Pennzoil 10W30. Aisle 5 he tells us, on the right side. Husband wants just 2 bottles and I am none but the wiser. I grab an additional 2 bottles just to have it readily available for the future. We have been here numerous times in the past for purchases of new car battery, antifreeze, and other auto supplies (air freshener, light bulbs, etc.). The employees know we are regular patrons and they are always helpful. We're usually in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. Service is quick. read more

He was very helpful, honest and sincere in helping me decide whether to replace my original battery in 2016 Honda. He offered a much less expensive solution when the test showed the battery was still good, but upon closer inspection also suggested there could be an issue with it. Stopped in last week on a rainy night with my 6-year-old for new wipers. The staff could not have been friendlier and more welcoming. One of my favorite auto parts store only because this location is never busy when you walk in and they never put you on hold when you call looking for car parts. I always call and ask if they have a what I'm looking for. If they don't then I ask which other store in the area has it. Always ask for the part number. Once I have part number I'll head over to the store that has what I need. I give them the part number. They say let me check the system to if we have it in stock to which I reply " I called O'Reilly at Alameda and they said you guy have it" they go in the back and come out with my item. My family visited Crab Cove at Alameda Island today. One of our bike tires had less air. After driving to three gas stations nearby that all had their air stations out of service, I noticed O'Reilly Auto Parts on Central. When I requested to get my bike tire filled and offered to pay, the two wonderful young men offered to help without charge. Stopped by Oreily's in San Leandro to rent out a tool kit since I was closer there at the time when I was at my friend's house on 8/15. Granted I have 48 hours to return before my deposit becomes permanent. Not sure if I can return the tool kit at ANY store since this store in Alameda is no more than 10 blocks from where I stay in Alameda. Checked out website's FAQs but still doesn't say enough about returns for the tool loan program. Called this store to check if I can return the tool here, and an associate by the name of Jon said "i think you have to return it at the original store" Just from drove all the way to San Leandro today and returned it and I asked their associate Diego if I could have returned it at any store. Frustrated a little to learn from Diego that I actually could return it back to ANY store. Staff of Alameda; if you're too lazy or don't wanna do your job then just say so. First rain in years and I my windshield wipers started falling apart. Checked OreillyAuto online and they had the wipers for my car in stock. When I walked in the guy behind the counter asked what I needed and when I said "wipers" he asked the year and model of my car. He pointed down the aisle and gave me the part numbers. He checked the part numbers before I checked out and offered to install them. I said, "no". He saw on the camera some people were struggling with theirs, so he came out (at night, in the dark). I came her to buy a tube of red Loctite, a windshield screen, a microfiber towel, a rebuilt starter for my Truck at 1 pm yesterday. The old, unshaven, pot bellied, white guy behind the counter ( yes, I am one too) never even said "Hi" as I passed him. He never offered to help even though the store was empty, except for his young assistant helping the one other customer in the entire store. I got the feeling that he did not like his job. As I wandered around the store finding my items, I could hear Mr. Never-Seen-a-Razor answering phones an being hostile to the customers with smart assed remarks and an obviously irritated and hostile tone over ordinary questions. I thought it was funny as I walked around for 15 minutes and all the potential customers hung up on him, and he sighed heavily with disbelief, rubbing his head furiously each time he could not complete the transaction and grumbling sole oaths to himself. I thought I was in a sketch comedy show. As I approached the register though, I did not think it was funny as he was berating another customer on the phone and his young coworker was politely (and happily I might add) ringing up the customer he had been helping; thus, unable to help me. Yeah, you guessed it I got the angry dude. So right off the top, I decided to not ask him about the Starter and cylanoid I needed for my truck and just try to escape with my microfiber towel Loctitie, and windscreen . . . Yes, cautious optimism got the better of my personal judgment. So I hung in there and tried to complete the transaction, and the old-white dude with the 'TUDE kept try to rush my transaction along with a lot of staccato commands. So I politely looked at him and smiled and said, "It's alright I am not in a hurry. It's a nice day." He totally ignored me and issued another rapid set of drill-sergant-like commands. Again I looked into his crazy eyes and smiled at him and said, "I have done this thousands of times. Relax, and it'll get done." Again he shrugged me off with more Captain Obvious, commands about chips readers and card swipes, etc. Finally, I said, "You seem upset. There is no reason to be upset. I'll get it done." Now he got totally angry and tried to assault me with an ironic lecture on how he was helping me complete the transaction. I looked up smiled and said, "Keep your stuff." I hit cancel. And I left the store. I assure you I will not be returning. read more

This place gets No stars.Terrible customers service.I went in early morning to purchase a light bulb for my car.Store manger Eddie was at the counter.I began to ask questions like would they put the light n and so forth.He said yes..I asked if I came back later would they be able to put my light in after work.He said No they don't go outside when it's dark.So I left but decided to just come back and have it done.When I came back there was another young man at the counter .I explained to him why I was there.He went to get Eddie .Tokk him a while to come out.When he came out he was very short as if he didn't want to help me.I asked if he could put the light in he said he would assist me.I said if you don't want to help me just let me know.He went back into the store and told me to have a nice day.Rude, Rude .Me as a woman and often asked if I need help was just treated terribly.All I could do was get the number for the district manger her offered the number as if he didn't care rude!!Hiw can u have such a person working for your company with a nasty disposition.I guess because I'm black so there no limit to how they treat us.It will go unseen or even unheard.This is my first Yelp comment every.Feelings hurt how we as Americans are still being treated different we don't belong(..)
