I went to O'Reilly's today to have my battery checked on my car. First, he could not figure out how to open the hood. So when I showed him how to open it, he brought out the battery checker. Put on the battery cables and says nope your battery's fine. He didn't show me anything saying it was fine or offer or anything else. So I left and thought I really don't think he knew what he was doing so I went over to AutoZone and they checked it right away. Said the battery was bad and they showed me the calculations on how the battery was almost down to zero in power. I don't think that the gentleman at O'Reilly really wanted to do any work to be honest. He mentioned that when he couldn't open the hood he said, oh I really don't like to work on other people's cars and I think to myself you're in that business. read more

I had purchased a battery a few years before and very suddenly it no longer would start my car. I reached out and they told me to come down right away. They validated that I still had a year left on the warranty for the battery so they helped me with the replacement even installing it in my mini Cooper, which is no easy task seriously google it it's insane. Very helpful staff. I went in the other day because I needed a new windshield wiper. The folks at O'Reilly were able to look up the replacement wiper in their system, explain the options available, and even helped me install on the parking lot. Whoever the guy who "runs the shop now" in his words needs to be fired, genuinely one of the rudest human beings I've met in my entire life. I went in yesterday because my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree my thought was okay probably a low voltage battery issue. So I went in and asked to borrow a scan tool to which the dickhead i referred to earlier said he would come out and scan it. He scans it and finds a litany of codes so I said can you check the battery, he checks the battery and says it's good (it's not wattage wattage was at 550 car needs a minimum 600) so I ask if he can clear the codes to which he says no and when I ask why he says (maybe if you were a little cooler I would have helped you out) I literally have never done anything other than ask for basic tools for things I would have done myself had he let me so I don't understand what I did. I went to autozone up the street and they helped me no issues told me my batter was bad replaced the battery and my car was perfectly fine. So as a final thought maybe if you were a little cooler you wouldn't be working at orileys at 50 with your bad haircut and lazy eye but no rather you sit there and try to lord over a 19 year old who had some car issues. I did end up going back and telling him to suck it but I feel like someone should hear about it. read more

I've been to O'Reilly a few times now and I give them two thumbs up. They are not the absolute cheapest place in town for everything, but they're pretty close. Plus. they provide excellent service. I bought some windshield wipers today and I had them installed within a few minutes of my purchase. I didn't have to lift a finger after I entered my pin on the card reader. They were out of my rear wiper replacement blades, but they are pretty rare so I won't deduct for that. This location is especially convenient for me, so I will be returning once the rear wiper gets back in stock. While there, I also witnessed a customer come in and have his check engine light issue diagnosed for free. That's a great service that I could see using in the future. read more

I had just bought a motorcycle that isn't running. Oh he must be mechanically minded I hear you say? No, not at all. I'm about as mechanically minded as the Tazmanian Devil with a hammer but decided it would be the way to learn. So anyway, now that I have set the scene. I walk in to this place needing oil amongst other things so I can get to work. Unfortunately I don't really know anything about oil, carb cleaning or anything I have volunteered myself to do for that matter. Luckily I was made to feel human by the guys at the shop and they were able to help me with some extra additional things that I needed too. I didn't realise simply asking for oil wouldn't suffice and there was more to it. I am very grateful for their help and also advice at the shop. I was made to feel very welcome and not an alien for literally having no idea what I was doing. I certainly felt the encouragement. read more

Very disappointed in the service today. Had my wife call this store while I was at work to make sure they had the right kind of Oxygen sensors in stock for my truck; I needed two. My wife was told there were two in stock but when I showed up this afternoon there was only one. I was told the were two that could be picked up at the Elliott location but I have to pay for them here. I obliged. But when I got to the other location they only had one. So then I had to limp my truck BACK to this location to get the other sensor. This happened when I bought the thermostat for my truck as well. I sent my daughter in to the store in hopes they could help her with her battery, she was met by the manager Manny "I later found out" and he not only found the right battery for her car, but he took the time to take out the old one and put in the new one, all the while having my daughter watch and learn. After a few visits this place is great. Each time we were greeted when entering. If it was not busy with other customers a sales person will come over and ask us if we need help. They really go out of the way to help and find the part we are looking for. This is the last resort store when searching for any part. We are starting to rethink this strategy. We are starting to go to this store first. It may be a little more expensive, but only by a few cents. The customer support though is 5 star! It is even next to Sonic, so that doesn't hurt either. read more

When I walked in he had just moped and reminded me that the floor might be wet, which was good to know because I was wearing sandals which don't do well on slick wet surfaces. I needed a couple of fuses for my car to get the power outlet back up and running, gotta keep the cell phone charged. I researched online what I needed. I was going to order online but while I was driving down the street I thought "why not stop at the local store and keep the local economy healthy". When I stepped in and asked for what I needed the young man took off down an isle without a word. I went looking and when I found him he asked what type I needed. I did not know, the online handbook did not explain. 5 years ago this might not have been an issue because the person "helping" me would ask which car was mine and go right on out and help me find what I needed. No such luck. I wasn't sure if I should ask but since it wasn't offered I thought to myself "well, my online community can probably help", so I left. So much for trying to keep my money local. Guess what, a wonderful human being had a YouTube video with where to find, how to change AND a link to Amazon for the right part. The little effort not taken by your associate cost you my business. Last night (Sept 27th) at 8:37pm (literally that close to closing time) my fiance and I had an emergency stop here. Three bolts from our tire came off while driving. This was the only place still thankfully open. My fiance got down and was helped by Austin, an employee. Austin went above and beyond for us (again so close to closing). He helped my fiance with full attention and care, no indication of impatience whatsoever. He checked out all of our tires just to be sure and helped find the bolts we needed. Then, he went a step further my recommending a mechanic shop to go to in the morning. It was as if this guys was our friend. We felt so welcomed and so safe after everything was said and down. I went in last Saturday to purchase a battery for my vehicle. Upon entry, we were greeted by Ed who asked us if we had purchased the old battery from there. Of course we could not remember so we proceeded to pick out the new battery and brought to the counter. Ed then looked up our number and found out that we had bought the old one their and that it was still on warranty. My bill went from being $130 to $2.16 all thanks to Ed. Worst experience ever. I came in and said I needed new windshield wipers and a cabin air filter and asked if they could order and replace them for me otherwise I would go to an auto shop that could as I do not like to do stuff like that myself - they said yes and then didn't have the air cabin filter in so they said they would order it and it would be there at 5 so to come back then. I came back at 5 they had me wait 30 mins then said it wouldn't be in for another hour so I asked them to call me when it was in and I would be back tomorrow. They left me a voicemail that it was in and so the next day I went back for them to tell me it wasn't there and it was never actually ordered even though I was charged for it... so they did the same thing "we'll order it it will be here by 5" I asked to come back the next day again - when I did it was in and they then said they wouldn't replace it and I had to do it myself after me already clarifying at the beginning that if I had to do it myself I would go somewhere else to pay... giant waste of time and money I could not be less happy Bill and Devon were the ones who poorly serviced me read more

Tested a battery twice and gave great advice, free. See details below, if you care to know what happened. Battery died on our car. Battery is only 12 months old but in this heat batteries don't last very long. The heat simply destroys them, quickly. So I jumped the car, drove it to O'Reily's and disconnected battery. Took the battery in, and a forbidding faced gentleman helped me. Despite his outward appearance he was very helpful. Not full of a lot of words, but nonetheless insightful! Battery tested fine, so they asked if the connection was tight? (It wasn't) They said re-connect it all, and drive around to charge it up for a while, and bring it back the next day to test under a load. I did that, and it was just the connectors. They even used two different load tested just to make sure. Great service & employees! read more

I came he a while ago to get new brake lights for my car. The staff there are friendly and helped me find what I was looking for.
