Went for the free "check engine soon" diagnostic and employee Sophia walked out to the car with me. She quickly discovered the problem and looked up the parts cost when we went inside. She explained that it was usually a problem that could be fixed with a spray cleaner that they had for sale. She then walked me back out to the car and showed me where and how to do the job. I was a bit nervous but it worked! Sophia was patient and knowledgeable and nice, and we fixed the problem for $12! So I went to O'Reilly to get the light replaced and Sophia helped me pick out the right light for my car and even replaced them for me. The employees here are absolutely fabulous! Brought my car down at 8AM on July 4th because the battery died twice the night before. I knew i had bought the last battery here but wasn't sure how long ago. The staff found my name and car in their system and confirmed that it had been bought 18 months ago. They quickly checked my battery and alternator and both were doing what they were supposed to. Although it may have been simply a corroded or loose connection on the top, they put in a new battery for free and I was on my way. Problem solved - thank you so much!!! Theresa came out checked it and we got a 7 different codes, one of which was a gas cap. She recommended try that first and see if it helped. I was at the Vacaville store about a week ago and was very disappointed with how I was greeted.. 'I wasn't ', there were 3 employees that day and 1 customer besides myself. I walked around aimlessly looking for a certain thing and not once was I asked 'Can I help you'? I eventually found what I was looking for and stood waiting to be checked out. One employee was talking on her cell phone, another had his back to me at the counter and the one who was checking someone out completed the transaction and turned around and went in the back!! I don't know much about cars. I had my car jumped at a gas station and came here to get a new battery. I literally walked in and said "I think I need a new battery and I have no clue what kind." The guy said he would help me. He looked under the hood of the car and tested my battery. I was right, I needed a new one. He then helped me figure out what kind of battery I needed and put it in for me. I'm sorry, cars just aren't my thing. Thanks for taking care of me! read more

I did not get a call back from Oreillys about the result of my car battery recharge so I had to call them. I was put on hold for 20mins to find the result of my car battery. Drove to the store with the call still on hold to find employees were hugging each other and messing around the store! So I went to Walmart to replace my battery and the employee there wouldn't even accept the battery cause the workers there didn't even write the result of the battery test on the yellow ticket. I had to call them back to get the results so I put my phone on speaker and the girl who put me on hold told the Walmart employee they were busy to write the result down. BS in my opinion because there was no other customers at the store when I was there. Highly unprofessional employees incompetent of completing a simple task to call back their customer and incapable of simply writing the results. Hire more professional employees capable of doing their job right! read more

Purchased a alternator from 19213 and was only given 1 option. My friend had called earlier that day and got a price for $89.95, I was charged $142.79. I tried to exchange for $89.95 alternator and was told I could not return. 19213 tested and said was good but refused to exchange. Went to other location on depot and found out the difference between the 2 prices was $89.95 had 1 year warranty and the $142.79 has lifetime. I'm not concerned with warranty and feel like 19213 makes more money for selling me higher priced alternator. Overhaul customer service is very poor. I had to deal with attitude the whole time. Talked to depot location and they agreed I should have been given all my options before making purchase. I think 19213 had stated (you didn't ask). Very frustrated! read more
