I've eaten both lunch in a booth, and had drinks at the bar. The bar sits low with comfy chairs on wheels. The service is always friendly. My favorite thing not on the menu is the Rachel, a grilled turkey and coleslaw sandwich on rye, served with chips. They also have sweet potato fries available as a side. Their daily specials are pretty sweet too and they are a big hit with all the locals that come in. Look for it by the kitchen door. 5. The jukebox. Im guessing it was last updated around 1998 or so. Disappointing meal. Service was great and we had high hopes on Sunday at 1pm. Fried food came out dark brown! Oil needs replaced, or temp lowered. Fish and chips were so dark. I hate leaving 5 star reviews. It seems dishonest and lazy. This place is a dive bar feel that is probably a popular local spot. The service is not super speedy, and there was one person service the entire place - bar and all, but she was so friendly and fun. I'm amazed at how she keeps this place in order by herself. Additionally, she made the experience so fun! I was looking for a good burger and landed on O'Reilly's. I ordered a side of onion rings and also a pepper burger with fries , while my girlfriend went with the jerk burger. There was no discussion on how i wanted it cooked, but toppings were asked. My burger was so intensely good that this might be the best burger I've had yet in Columbus. The onion rings were perfectly cooked. Everything about our burgers was fresh and just delicious. I have a new favorite burger spot. This is a perfect dive bar feel with an outstanding kitchen and truly amazing and friendly staff. This is an example of what makes Columbus dining so great! I have seen this place on a list of best burgers, and friends have recommended it, and I finally got here. It's a fairly nondescript building on High, decent parking out front. It's pretty small inside, and the floors are weird. Step up to get in, and then the ceiling feels kind of low, and the bar is actually lower than the rest of the room. That might be more efficient for them? Feels a little awkward but not awful. Pretty big menu, lots of interesting bar type food. I was here for what everyone recommended, the pepper burger and the sweet potato fries. Both of which were excellent. Among the best in town, and the best I've ever had, of each. The burger was thick and juicy and meaty. I like pepper, but I was afraid it would be over the top. It was not. A perfect complement to the meat. A little bit of a zing on your tongue afterwards, but not overdone. Fresh toppings, piled high, good bun. All melding into a beautiful whole. The sweet potato fries are perfectly cooked, and came with a zesty ranch-southwestern type dipping sauce. Coke as my drink. All that for $12. 12! For a good, big burger, and a ton of good sweet potato fries, and a pop. I think it was a lunch deal, or they just liked me. Good service, although they seemed a little short staffed so it was pretty curt. But when they did have a chance to stop and talk they were super friendly and laid-back. O'Reilly's Pub makes some of the best burgers in Columbus. On a quality-of-burger-per-dollar scale they exceed Chapman's Eat Market. Don't believe me? Fine, I don't care, I said it and I believe it. I particularly love the pepper burger, but you better love black pepper. Just order something else though, and you will be fine. The food is solid pub fare top to bottom. The hoagies are good too. Damn, now I want a hoagie and a PBR. Beyond the atmosphere and food, the service is always friendly. Don't come in a rush, be prepared to take your time and enjoy life a little. They are not slow, but usually there is a little crowd that keeps the servers busy. You won't hear a bad word from the staff about it though, they are glad you came (unlike me). Seriously, be cool. I've heard my brother talking about this place and "The Pepper Burger" for years. We met up today for lunch there. What a great little place, decorated with a mix of Columbus sports memorabilia and other odds and ends. Our waitress was great, asked us for our order right away, two pepper burgers, an ice tea and a PBR. It took awhile for our burgers to come out, no big deal, we bullshitted and the wait was worth it. The burger was cooked perfectly, it is covered with cracked pepper corns, bacon, provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. That's all sitting on a fresh bun. It came with a side of potato chips and a dill spear. I will definitely have this burger again. I have to try the Rueben though, I overheard someone saying it's the best they've ever had. read more

This place is epitome of Irish pubs in my opinion! It has a dark entrance, long bar, and booth seating throughout. The decorations are awesome and the staff was super friendly when we walked in. This stop was recommended by another Elite friend of mine who said I needed to try the chicken wings here. I was not disappointed, probably the top 5 wings in Columbus in my opinion. They were coated, crispy, and perfectly sauced. I got the mild wings since we had a few more stops to the evening and they were delicious. Adrienne ended up getting the pepper burger based off the recommendation from the server and it was really good as well. The onion rings were some of my favorite additions on the meal as they were cooked perfectly as well. The drink prices are standard around Columbus and the pours were definitely heavy. This place is a hidden burger gem for sure. I almost don't want to write about it and tell you of the awesomeness I encountered during my visit here. I happened upon this after looking up the best burgers in central Ohio. After doing various cross-checks and references, this place was one of the establishments that stood out to me. Be mindful that this is the quintessential hole in the wall; it just has a lot of windows that brighten the place up, yet it still has a tinge of darkness. It's long and narrow. I like to sit at the booths by the window; those are the best seats. The service is pretty speedy here, so be ready to look at the menu and get your order ready when you come in. When I did my burger search, the burger that popped up everywhere was the peppercorn burger. Reading the plentiful amount of rave reviews, I was afraid that I would get my hopes up and be let down like a Cleveland Browns fan; I was pleasantly mistaken. I took a bite into this burger, and it was the juiciest and tender burger with a charred outside that I have ever tasted. The burger's flavor hits you upside the head out of nowhere if you are not expecting it. It's pretty savory and is reminiscent of Worcestershire sauce. read more

O'Reilly's is the best Irish bar in Columbus. It's located far enough from the campus crap you're able to enjoy it. The bartenders may not be the friendliest but they know how to make a good whiskey and cola. An Irish whiskey and you won't go wrong here. They also have food but not too many people we come with have ordered it. If you're in an Irish bar you know what you need to get. It's recommended you get something with Jameson or Tullamore Dew but as long as it's Irish, it's good. The happy hour specials are okay. It's still cheap no matter what the time is. This bar is far enough from campus you're actually able to enjoy your drink, unless it's St. Patrick's Day when the idiot college students look for the nearest Irish bar. If you're here almost any other day of year it's fine. The college kids are too busy with the meat market scene to bother with it. I recommend O'Reilly's to any Irish bar fan. This place is good. Nice "dive bar" interior and ambience but certainly not dirty. Plenty of parking when I was there, 2 pm on a weekday. The lady tending the bar kept my iced tea full. They had all kinds of alcoholic beverages but since I'm totally square now and don't drink at all I wasn't paying attention. I had the pepper burger. God damn it was good. The portion size of the onion rings was small but it's okay since I was stuffed anyway. It came with "crack sauce" which is hot sauce and mayo. The bartender grumbled about how "crack sauce" gets people's attention whereas "hot sauce and mayo mixture" doesn't.
