I have had sushi here three times. Twice for lunch and then dinner. The sushi and service are top notch and they are family friendly. Their sushi menu is extensive and the fish is fresh and flavorful. My favorite are the Crunchy Scallop although I tried the Spicy Scallop and that was deliciously spicy with the soft scallop. This is an unassuming sushi restaurant hidden in a strip mall hidden in the strip of Mexican restaurants that is Sebastopol road but I promise you won't be disappointed if you give them a try! read more

Sigh. I see other Yelpers giving this place high ratings and I wish I could do the same. I would give this place 3 stars but knocked it down 1 for my experience. I ordered the "Princess Roll". On the menu it says it come with "Salmon and Avocado on top and Shrimp Tempura inside" When I got the roll, I took a bite and felt sick already.. I looked at the sushi and saw that there was cream cheese and mustard on it.. 1) I hate cream cheese. 2) I hate mustard. I asked our waitress if they might have mixed up our rolls and she said no and that everything was brought out correctly. I showed her how on the menu that the princess roll isn't supposed to have cream cheese in it. Her answer was that although it doesn't say it on the menu, there's supposed cream cheese.. What.. I really didn't understand. And they just randomly added mustard sauce on top.. like.. if I order something from the menu, I expect it to have only whatever listed in/on the roll.. It felt really awkward at that moment so I was like uh.. it's okay then I guess.. But what if I was allergic?! Lol could have been bad :/ read more

THE BEST SUSHI EVER!!! When I first tried this place, I came back 3 more times that same week.(Yes, it is that amazing.) I travel all over California and as a big sushi lover I have sushi every trip and have yet to find a sushi place as amazing as this one. Firstly, the service in this place is one of the reasons why it is my favorite! Joseph is amazing! Always greeting you when you come in the door. Over the years, it's gotten busier so of course being an avid customer to this restaurant there has been a couple out of like hundreds of visits where I've had to wait longer for my rolls, no biggie... WORTH IT. The sushi, is the best! Of course it's one of those things where you have to consider your likes/dislikes. You have the option to get soup &/or salad for 1.50$ which is always a must for me. I love fresh rolls and always tend to have the Aki Power, Mango Paradise, or the Golden Dragon. I am never afraid to try something new here though, I'll probably end up loving it anyway. Someone mentioned something about the location, I've been here plenty of times and had never had a problem. I've seen security patrolling the area as it is a private shopping center. There is a majority of Latino/Hispanic businesses, maybe that's what was meant by a bad, "sketchy" neighborhood. Hands down my favorite sushi restaurant in Sonoma county!! It's a hidden gem and you would never think to stop in here but you need to!!! Consistently delicious sushi with fresh fish and amazing sauces. They have a large menu and with so many options it's hard to choose. I usually get the bodega bay roll and it's amazing. The cucumber and the seaweed salad are also really good. Monkey brains (avocado,crab,and spicy tuna tempura friend) and the tempura shrimp stuffed with crab are my favorite appetizers. Many friends have been introduced to this place and they all love it!! I had never had a deep fried Oreo before but they tempura fry them and it's sinful. I was really happy with my sushi experience. The rolls were a great size for the price, a good amount of fish, plus the fish was fresh tasting and tender. Thats pretty much my check list of desires when it comes to sushi, so i was a happy camper. The owner "billy the kid" is back as the sushi chef, he told us he had been working down at his Petaluma restaurant the last few months. He seems funny and he makes great looking sushi and it was quick! bonus we got soup and salad, both i enjoyed. I hope people start/continue to go there and it gets a good following like Sazon managed. This area around Sebastopol road has gained some great eats and this sushi is a great addition. It was a great dinner and i am looking forward to my next visit. Second visit a week later was just as tasty. i tried the potsticker roll. i like potstickers and it was everything i expected, simple and tasty lol. the chicken katsu was amazng. tender and crispy, the bf wanted it and im glad he did. it was delicious. i did finally experience the mustard sauce on something. I am not a fan of mustard on anthing but a pretzel or a sandwich so i would maybe ask them to hold that in the future but i like the other sauces used so far :) if you like mustard it seemed to taste good, just not my preference. My family and I have been coming to O! Sushi for years now. This is my favorite sushi spot in Sonoma County. They have a variety of rolls for anyone and everyone! I requested, and got, brown rice in my sushi for $2 extra. Well worth it. My roll was delicious. I can't remember the name. It had yellowtail, salmon, and fresh jalapen~o. They offer spicy mayo and unagi sauce over it. On the side, they bring that spicy green horseradish and pickled ginger. The serving size was just rite; I felt satisfied and not over-full. I also ordered a cup of hot green tea. Now, I am fussy about my tea. They get a thumbs up for a very nicely-flavored, mellow green tea. Not jazmine. I can always tell a good Japanese restaurant by their Miso soup. O! Sushi has a full-flavored one, not watery at all. I also tried their gyozo and it was very good as well. Crisp and fresh. Now for the main course . . . I ordered the Chicken donburi and it was really good! Lots of chicken, veggies and egg. I did have to add some light sodium soy sauce to it, but it was a huge portion for a very reasonable price - $8.99 (And I ate it all!) However, all that food meant I needed a nap afterwards! LOL. By the way, O! Sushi is one of the only Japanese restaurants that serves Donburi. It's meat and veggies over rice, with a flavorful sauce. (You can also ask for teriyaki sauce on the side.) The service was absolutely friendly, very helpful, and the waitress gave me free refills on the hot tea and ice water. I love it when I get great service when I'm a single diner. Not all restaurants feel welcoming or act like they're thrilled I'm there. O! Sushi was great, they made me feel like family. O! Sushi is located behind the Jack in the Box on Sebastopol Rd. A strip mall with a few other businesses. The O! Sushi's interior is nice, but not particularly fancy. Who cares though, when the food is so good? Go check it out. Ate at O! Sushi the other night with some friends. They shared three rolls; Carburetor, Mango and a Lambada. They looked good and our friends seemed to enjoy them. I ordered the teriyaki salmon and mixed tempura bento, the SO had the teriyaki salmon and teriyaki chicken bento. Mine was delicious, the SO felt that his chicken was a little overcooked and hard. As always, the salads, tsukemono and miso soups were delicious. What I liked about this time was that I asked for a table out of the way (duly provided) and we were allowed plenty of time for conversation and enjoy each other's company. Ate here with some friends for lunch and enjoyed our meal quite thoroughly. I liked my rolls as did my husband and our friends. The only downside being one of the rolls ordered did not make it onto the order ticket so we had to ask about it towards the end of our meal and they apologized and brought it out late. Actually most of the food came out pretty quickly. A little uneven, 3 of us had our food for quite some time before the 4th had anything to eat, but I'm used to sushi and rolls taking forever so I was glad this place was not slow in that regard. I ordered spicy tuna with seaweed salad on top. They called it Country Roll. I'd say it's pretty good. Ordered tempura appetizer. It's fairly standard and their tempura sauce needs a little bump in flavor. I liked the music. The service was slow and she was pretty inattentive. She only asked me once early on if everything was okay. My tea was empty for 20 minutes and couldn't catch her attention. Put the empty cup on edge of table but she never noticed. It's freezing in here and hot tea would help. Trying to get the rest of my order to go but she isn't noticing or bringing bill. She is very sweet though but service isn't her forte. I've been here almost an hour and checked on once. Three other tables have customers. I would have given 4 stars if service was better. I found this place on Yelp. I was out for a drive and ended up in this area by chance... But hungry. I decided to try a new place for dinner.... And ended up making a good decision. I ordered a Sapporo while I perused the menu (which was filled with high quality photos of the beautiful rolls). I settled on a Bento box with a California roll and fried tofu. Added to that was a deep fried roll called the "Godzilla #2". The box came with edamame , soup, rice, salad, some other side, and dipping sauce. The food was very tasty and especially artfully crafted/formed. It is clear the chef is a master. Service was 5/5 stars The restaurant is on the warm side, slightly uncomfortable in fact. This is my only complaint as the experience was very good otherwise. I will be returning in the future , no doubt . read more

O! SHUSHI! was amazing! I got a Lion king roll that MELTED in my mouth in and overwhelming display of flavors that blew my tastebuds away. I then asked to add a shrimp tempura inside one of their rolls on their Alaska roll, and WITHOUT hesitation the fast server was putting in my modified order. Again the roll came out and dazzled my dining experience. If I was near Santa Rosa, I would go out of my way to eat here again. The staff here was fantastic! They were really attentive and friendly. However, the food wasn't that spectacular. There really wasn't anything special about any of the items we ate. I ordered salmon sashimi, ika, and a dragon roll. They all tasted okay (maybe it was because I had sushi just earlier that week in San Jose where it was more fresh, this tasted more like it'd been sitting there a while).
