Avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, and mango veggie roll with soy paper substitute
Ami J.

My husband and I were looking for a sushi spot for dinner while we visit Santa Rosa and he found this place through Yelp and Google reviews. Ambiance: 5/5 The place has a very authentic feel to the cuisine and decor is on brand as well. The music gave it a little more flair and personality (from the staff) as they were playing some good R&B. Cleanliness: 5/5 Tables were clean, had a tablet to order from, and smelled nice. Food: 5/5 I'm vegetarian so I had an avocado/cream cheese/cucumber/mango roll (sub soy paper) and my husband had the nigiri & the caliente roll. Both were Staff: 5/5 Friendly, aware of if we needed anything, and professional. Would definitely come here again!

Combo Tuna roll and Nigiri. All was good.

Picked O Sushi for dinner tonight. Walked in and place was full and jumping. Sushi Chef here sees everything. Ladies were busy, he directed me to a table that had just come open. Fun atmosphere. Clean place. Service good. Food was really good. All the Nigiri I had was fresh. People in restaurant were very friendly. Brisk take-out and delivery business. If they were closer to home I'd be back.

Chirashi bowl
Bonnie N.

Cozy place for a casual date or group meal. It was our first time here. Bf and I got the chirashi bowl, bento box and Sake Heaven Roll. Chirashi bowl was pretty good - fresh cuts of fish and they even had toro. It included lots of cucumber and seaweed salad. We got Sake Heaven Roll to share which was salmon and cucumber topped with salmon and imitation crab. The roll is huge and after my Chirashi bowl I was so full. If I were going out to eat with one of my girlfriends I probably could share a chirashi or one of the sashimi combos and a roll with them. Bf got the bento box with chicken and salmon teriyaki and tuna sashimi, which he thought was good. The rice was a bit dry and some grains were burnt but wasn't a big deal because it was still edible. The bento box and chirashi bowl each came with miso soup and salad. Miso soup was a bit salty but the salad was fine. Lots of people came for their takeout orders while we were there for dinner. Friendly quick service. We were surprised when they brought out complimentary dessert with our check, which was a fried Oreo for each of us. We felt bad leaving it behind since it's not something we eat, but it's the thought that counts. They have Korean options like bibimbap and ramen on the last page of their menu.

If I could give this place a zero I would. My partner and I were seated and we're not approached for over 20 minutes. No question about what we wanted to drink, if we wanted to order, or anything else. We started to notice other people that were seated after us were getting their orders taken. After 30 minutes of waiting patiently we decided to leave. For it not even being completely packed it was inexcusable for a restaurant to treat potential customers like that. Was very excited to try based on reviews, but would not recommend.

Bbq beef & vegetable bibimbabi (hot) & seaweed salad

If you want fresh and delicious fish , this is your spot! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the chef. We were sat right away and the sweet lady working there offered us drinks. She took our order and the food came out soon after. I was honestly surprised at how fast the food came out. I chose the 3 item bento box with a side of seaweed salad. This dish is more than enough for 1 person. The bento box comes with a side salad and miso soup as well. My friend went with the bibimbap, which she said was good. My friend went with 2 rolls, which I do not recall their name but he said they were delicious. The server checked in with us often which I liked. I would recommend this restaurant to every sushi lover. It's clean, delicious and has good service.

Teriyaki plate

O Sushi is a fantastic sit down off Sebastopol rd. Parking wasn't bad, the shopping center seems sketchy but it's chill. The service and food was great. We started with edamame, I ordered the teriyaki plate with a Sapporo. It came with miso, salad and white rice. My wife handled some rolls and we both enjoyed New Mexico roll. We even got free deep fried Oreos at checkout! Delicious

Prince Roll

Came here for lunch with my husband and daughter. The interior is very clean and calm with cute decor. The hostess was very kind and the food was made fresh and piping hot (gyoza and side of steamed rice). I got the Prince roll and my husband got the New Mexico roll. The Prince roll was a nice sweet umami flavor. The rolls had nice portions! I got very full. We also tried the toro nigiri which was also very fresh tasting. The hostess gave us a sweet dessert - 3 deep fried cookies with whipped cream and a lollipop. So kind ! Enjoyed the food and experience immensely. (The pictures are after I've eaten some)

My food was still warm when I got home!!! Shocker! My go to is their ramen! I like the spice to it and they give it to you with a small bowl! My partner got their lion roll which was delicious !!! Forgot the name of the other roll. Service was great as always, the staff has always been friendly and accommodating when we go. The inside renovation is nice! Updating prior review…read more.. I used to come here a lot and really enjoyed it. Decided to give them a try after going to some other sushi places for a bit, so it was a nostalgia trip. They have also just completed an expansion and remodel which added more seating, and opened up the restaurant with a bit. They still use the iPad based ordering system which I always like, since it allows for better pacing. While before I praised them, this time left more to be desired. The sheen seems to have come off. Not sure if they changed chefs, but fish did not seem as fresh, sauces were a lot more heavy handed (overkill), and it just didn't feel as clean tasting as it used to. Maybe an off night, but not nearly as good as I remembered it to be. They have more cute robots now - and the bee decor makes it feel more like a proper restaurant. Though they have a wide menu - I would probably encourage sushi lovers to look elsewhere. The ramen, fried rice, dumplings and bento boxes are probably a stronger suit here now. They also seem to be doing a lot of take out service now as well.

And my taste are different differently different than others. There was something off about the kimchi... It just didn't taste like what I'm used to, but I mean that could be a restaurant thing. I was also thrown off by the macaroni salad. It also had no flavor. I really enjoyed the bean sprouts and wanted to get another serving but was told it was a sample serving and that they don't do more than that. I could pay two dollars m Overall, I think my biggest issue was that a lot of the food was much sweeter than I expected. I was especially surprised by the grilled shrimp because I never imagined it would taste that sweet. I'm not going to lie, I still ate everything because I paid for it and didn't want to waste the food. The highlight of the meal was the Love Boat sushi roll that they light on fire. Visually, it was really impressive and made for a fun presentation. Taste wise, though, it was just an average sushi roll. I couldn't tell that the fire added anything to the flavor. I didn't notice any smokiness or anything that elevated the dish, and I honestly think it would have tasted the same without the fire. For what I paid, I don't think the meal was worth it, so I probably wouldn't come back just for myself. That said, I can see why other people might enjoy it. I did really like the jalapeño on the sushi roll because it added a nice kick, so I would order that again. This is also one of the few times I've had Thai iced tea that was simply too sweet for my taste.

But our order took over 30 minutes to get to our table after we ordered it. Our sunomono salad came within 5 minutes and we we're left waiting over 30 minutes for our roll and nigiri. There was a party of 10 that arrived 15 minutes after we were seated. Their appetizers and sushi arrived immediately, approximately 10 minutes before ours. I was quite baffled... I even made the joke... "Did they go to Japan to make our roll & nigiri?" Overall, I would probably not return. The waiters were nice but the sushi chef's were very slow. Maybe because they weren't Japanese and were baffled by nigiri's? Whatever the reason, nigiri's should not take over 30 minutes to serve, especially when there are only 3 tables. Time is priceless... And when it's spent over 30 minutes waiting for a meal, it's time wasted...

Each step was curated in its own way with descriptions for anything we ate, origins, and the connection with the chef. Things started outside in a waiting area with an introductory drink and appetizer. Once things were ready to go inside, we were ushered in and had name places for each of our seats for the evening. If you needed to use the restroom there isn't one organic to the space and you had to go back into the main hallway. We were given 16 courses of fish listed on small chalkboards along the back wall, and then dessert to follow. Everything tasted delicious. My partner had gotten the sake tasting to go with it which added nicely with the food. My favorites for it were the tuna tail, miso steamed egg, hamachi, the shrimp, and the baby octopus. The tuna tail was such an interesting presentation, and the flavors were simple and clean. The miso steamed egg was just comfort. The hamachi melted with how it was prepped with each bite which was great. The shrimp was really fresh, and easy to bite through. The baby octopus tasted amazing, simply seared and was so easy to eat. A number of ingredients were flown in fresh, or from Japan as they added to the dish. The wasabi was also fresh but locally sourced from the US. It was amazing to hear all of the small details that went into each piece and the inspiration behind the dishes. Certainly, a beautiful experience and some of the best sushi also in the area.
