    Waygu asada and Oak burger
    Jaime M.

Absolutely incredible experience at Oak N' Ember. Walking in, you immediately get this awesome, moody speakeasy vibe that sets the perfect tone for the night. The service was top-notch right from the start--super attentive, welcoming, and fast. The food completely blew me away. I ordered the Oak Burger and it was straight-up amazing, perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. We also got the fried green beans to start, and they were completely legit. Perfect crunch and seasoning. For my main, I tried the Wagyu Carne Asada. It was definitely good and I enjoyed it, but honestly, after smelling the smoker and seeing other plates go by, I kicked myself a bit for not going with the brisket or tri-tip. Overall, this is a fantastic spot. Great food, stellar service, and a killer atmosphere. I will absolutely be coming back soon to get my hands on that brisket! Special shoutout to our amazing server Chris!! 10 out of 10

We came here this past weekend for brunch but I don't think they have the brunch anymore but I may be wrong. However we still came in and had an early lunch. We were greeted by Mariah who was our server. She was friendly and super helpful. She was knowledgeable about the food and drinks and helped us choose. She provided amazing service and is the gold standard for customer service in a restaurant. We ordered some drinks and I had the Peach Please and my fiancé had La Nina Fresa. Both of the drinks were refreshing and delicious. They were also strong but we didn't mind it and enjoyed it. We ordered quite a bit of food. We started with the burnt end fundido and the fried corn riblets. They were both delicious. We truly enjoyed the corn riblets a bit more. That corn was full of flavor. We also had the waygu carne asada with corn bread and the mac n cheese. The carne asada was tender. I do feel like it needed a little bit more seasoning or salt but just a touch. The corn bread was good but wish it came with butter or honey butter. Other than that it was delicious. My fiancé had The Oak burger and it was one of the best burgers we had. The fries were delicious and crispy just how we like them. The mac N cheese was one of the better ones we have ever had. The restaurant itself is really nice and beautiful in there. It made me want to stay in there and hang out for a while. I loved the way it looked in there especially all the animals with the glasses on. Mariah you killed it! Thank you for an amazing experience. We will be back.

We were in the Ontario area and my son found Oak and Amber on his phone so we decided to check it out after reviewing the menu while driving. upon arrival, they were very enthusiastic and led us to a nice table with a nice view out and some nice big screens where we could watch the World Cup. our server. CHRIS hooked us up with some menus Waters and my wife's drink which she thoroughly enjoyed was there before we knew it. Her drink was called a La Niña, which basically was a strawberry margarita with Ginger and basil and she thoroughly enjoyed it. For dinner she had mashed potatoes, a half chicken and a salad and all were thoroughly enjoyed according to her the chicken is apparently barbecued. Myself I had the tri-tip with mashed potatoes and a strawberry salad, which was actually really good. I enjoyed the salad and they put the cheese on the side. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes. They serve the two tip with pickles and onions, and it was pretty tasty. I demolished it even though when I first got there, I didn't think I was gonna eat all my food. I ended up eating everything that was served to me. So my son, he had the two different types of wings which he ended up taking to go and he also got the brisket tacos, which had a little too much going on for him so he wasn't able to eat them. He felt like the wings were good and the skin was crispy. They also kept the water going and they offered us dessert although we were full and didn't get any. Again, Kris was very attentive and I would highly recommend you. Try Oak & Amber if you're in the area the food is good and tasty and you get plenty of everything. Just FYI, we came during happy hour so the appetizers and the drinks were half off!

We came back today for the Wednesday wing special -- just $1 per wing! What a great deal. We tried the Sweet Chili, Parmesan, and BBQ flavors. You need to order a minimum of 4 wings per flavor, which gave us a chance to sample a few different options. My favorite was the Sweet Chili, but the Parmesan and BBQ were delicious too. We had the BBQ wings last Saturday and enjoyed them so much that we had to come back. This place is great, and the wings never disappoint!

Food: Smoke Burnt End Fundido did not see any Burnt End just what looked like brisket no smoky flavor and most of cheese stuck to plate try using better melting cheese 1/2 pound Brisket with Mac&Cheese corn bread Brisket a little thin Mac Fantastic corn bread more like yellow cake. Brisket Birria Tacos nice flavor Service: was really good Ambiance: nice clean Tip: little pricey for what you get and don't get why there is a two tables made into one.

After waiting several months for this spot to work out the kinks from their grand opening I decided to stop by. I walked in and sat at open bar spot and noticed at least 4 tables that needed to be bussed and trash on floor. Could have been a party that just left so no big deal. After a couple minutes bartender stopped by I got me it and ordered a drink. Couple seated next to me asked for recommendations, I was like it's my first time also. Ordered the fried corn riblets, they tasted good just needed more of the sauce that was drizzled on top. The cocktail was okay nothing great , so switched to beer instead. Also ordered the Chili , after talking with the couple next to me that their BBQ experience was kind of lackluster. It was later in the evening so maybe their BBQ was running low so you can't go wrong with Chili. While the chili was good I think the experience of being given a plastic to go utensil package was very odd. I mean I would expect this of a backyard BBQ spot but a sit down spot it seems very odd. I wanted to order cornbread as it does not come with chili but did not see it in the menu. I did ask for a side and the bartender brought me some and didn't charge me so I made sure to tip him extra for that. Wasn't a fan of the cornbread was more cake like, but to each their own on their style of cornbread. Now the interesting part is that I have not seen a busser from the time I arrived till the time I left which was about 70 minutes. Now the 4 tables that had food and plates when I arrived was now over 10. This was throughout the restaurant, now I do acknowledge 3 small groups left a few minutes before I did so that's 3 tables. But the same 4 tables that were dirty when I arrived had still not been bussed or cleaned off. After I paid the bill I saw the guy who was taking my order and making drinks start clearing tables. Not sure if they short staffed but did see quite a few waiters walking around. It was kind of busy for late night but still have to clean takes, even the bar tops were dirty. Now if the front of house is dirty I can only imagine the back of house.. Sad to say I tried to give this place a chance but was it's a no go for future stops. I do hope it does better as it does smell good outside but for now it's off my list. To each their own and to those that have had good experiences , you are Lucky as I was not.

Oak & Ember was our first time dining here, and we were impressed. The ambiance has a modern speakeasy vibe that's warm, stylish, and perfect for a date night. I ordered The Oak burger, and it was phenomenal--juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We'll definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the burger menu. Ask for Chris he was very attentive! Highly recommend checking this place out!

    Wagyu asada
    Sarah O.

Wanted to like this place but unfortunately it wasn't good :/ The Asada had a gamy taste to it, the corn bread was solid hard. I'm not even joking, the brisket was lacking flavor and was extremely dry . Nothing wowed us . I didn't finish anything and haven't left overs away . The set up is cute , I'm sure this place is a cool place to come and have drinks .

They that fries are served with your sandwich, but you still get charged 7.00 for the fries. So not included.
    Alex P.

The food was okay. The brisket was okay like 7 out of 10, the baked Beans like 5 of 10. The worst part is the service. Waited like 8 minutes to be seated. There was one waitress for like 7 tables. They don't like to customize their food, they really frown out it. So okay food and not so okay service.

Stopped in just after opening on a Sunday, the place was nice and empty. Service was ok but the waitress wasn't very informative. Everyone seemed to enjoy the food except for a complaint that the tacos were spicy. The beers were $3 and the mixed drinks were $6, which we didn't find out until the check arrived. Had we known, we would have ordered more and the til would have likely been more generous. I would eat here again!

Brisket sandwhich with extra cheese, tzatziki potato salad, and the best fries ever.
    Jade S.

The best halal American spot ever. Where else can you get a brisket sandwich halal and tzatziki potato salad?? AND a cocktail?? Amazing. We went during the day, lunch hour. Busy, but not "we're rushing you all out" busy. All of the servers and wait staff were very kind and patient with us while we took forever trying to decide what to eat

I just love how it looked. Theres an exit to the outside patio area which is nice, since this place stays open longer than most of the shops in Haven City. Only problem is if theyre playing music outside, every time the door opens it is so loud!! Like annoyingly blow my ear drums loud. Their drinks are very southwest themed. They have a lot of drink options to choose from. We ordered their blue sky and silver cloud. Presentation looked pretty. But the drinks were not that great. I had their silver cloud which had a mango foam on top. Tasted great, till you mixed it into the drink. The drink was way to smokey. It was so smokey it was almost bitter. I get a little smoke. But it was way too much. Any notes of mango or fruit or sweetness was lost in the smoke. The blue sky looked pretty. But after having a sip of the silver cloud it killed my taste buds. I couldn't taste anything in the blue sky. After our first round of drinks we were done. Had to go home and make myself an extremely sweet drink to get my taste buds back..... its a great concept. The price point is reasonable. 16 dollars for each drink. I do love the decor. But the vibes from the outside is distracting. If your into mezcals and smokey drinks this place is for you. But it unfortunately was not my cup of tea.

The burger was OK, nothing too special. Maybe too much bun! Friendly service. ADA accessible restrooms. Baby changer in large women's stall.

She took so long to take our drink order after we sat down, that we were ready to order our food when she came around. After she took our drink and food order, we waited 15 mins, and still no drinks. I actually had to ask another waitress for water. When our waitress came by we reminded her about not getting our drinks yet and she copped an attitude and was like "we were busy, yeah I asked someone else to bring the water". Ok. No need to be rude. Thankfully the food was good, so at least that was enjoyable. Our waitress never came by once to check up on us, as we watched other waitresses be more attentive at other tables. Honestly I've had better service at McDonald's. That's embarrassing for a restaurant like The Cut where food prices are not cheap. I'm sure it was just this one individual that was performing poorly, but it left us with a bad experience where we simply don't want to come back, and take our business elsewhere.
