overall, this is such a cute spot to catch up with friends. i came in with a group of 4 on a saturday evening, looking for a spot to have drinks after dinner. there was live jazz music on the second floor, where you will find comfortable & casual booth seating. we tried a variety of drinks and everything was great. service was amazing and attentive. the only thing i would have changed is that i wish i got to try the caymus red blend, apparently they run out due to popularity! bummer but i'm not surprised. this venue is cute and would definitely return if i'm back in the glendale area. read more

Dropped by with my buddy have some food and it happened to be happy hour. Angel was very nice and attentive. Their service is honestly really good. The place itself is really cool, located next to the Americana so a lot of good people watching and good atmosphere. Now let's get to the food. The chef is really good and everything is made in home AND delicious. The best part is that my bill was $80. The price of a combo meal for my family of 4. I would definitely recommend this place especially during happy hour!!! read more

Goad I was dragged here by my girlfriends tonight. The food and drinks were impeccable. Ordered chips and dip, caprese salad, cheese board, and the oak special pizza. Every bite was phenomenal. For drinks, I ordered Mr. Puerto Rico - perfect for this weather. Topped off with the best oatmilk latte I had. And let us not forget about the service. Make sure to ask for Johnny! Probably the best customer service I've ever received in Los Angeles. Popped in after taking a peek at their tasty menu and really enjoyed the experience. Had the pleasure of meeting Johnny and Natalie who took care of us. Johnny suggested a few vegetarian favorites, along with some drink recommendations from Natalie. The margarita flatbread, Caprese salad and a special grilled cheese appetizer that was one of my favorites! We paired it with a hibiscus margarita which was also a delight. Wife and I stopped in the share some plates and have some wine. Food was delicious, service was great. Establish is small and quaint but properly spaced and comfortable. Found a hidden gem in Glendale , crafty delicious cocktails, very rare whiskey that most bars don't have . amazing & wide selection of wines and spirits. Perfect little place to grab a drink before or after dinner ! Cute little upstairs lounge ! Perfect for birthday gathering or to host private event . They have Tapas/ small bites /charcuterie. They also have a patio in the front. Staff was very nice ,knowledgeable and attentive. There is only street parking or public parking structure at the corner (90mins free) . Through out the month there are different tasting , went to a yellow rose whiskey tasting and it was fabulous & only $35 . They even barrel age there own Manhattan & old fashions !!! Our group of 5 had a great visit to Oak and Vine while waiting for our table at Raffis. We parked in the marketplace structure which is 90 mins free parking then $1 each 30 mins. The craft cocktails are top notch, the wine by the glass menu has good options, and the staff are super friendly. read more

My friend and I decided to grab a drink and small bite while we were in Glendale and found this cute little spot. For drinks we got their Lady in Pink and the Hibiscus Margarita. Both super tasty, refreshing and on the sweeter side which we both liked. The Hibiscus Marg was a bit stronger and the Lady in Pink tasted a bit like the Capri-Sun's fruit punch! I really wasn't all that hungry but I never really had good empanadas before so we got an order to share. Decided on their Chicken Empanadas which was better than my expectations. Flakey buttery outer crust layer, while the inside was packed with chimichurri chicken filling. Super flavorful and the chimichurri was garlicky, while the cilantro and basil just popped out a nice palette. Love the ratio from the crust to filling, the first time I've had them at another place they barely had any filling and 80% crust. So this time around it was a much more tasty experience. My friend also got their Oak Pepperoni Flatbread as well, he had a flight to Vegas right after to hang out so he had to fill up on food. I had a bite of his flatbread and it was pretty good ass well. Light, cheesy and a great snack. Service here was great, or server was super sweet! Loved how the interior was, there's indoor, outdoor and upstairs seating. We chose to sit upstair which was absolutely cute, a great spot to grab a drink and catch up with a friend! read more

Stumbled upon this gem while we waited to go into banquet hall for a wedding reception across the street. The gentleman that served us made the best drinks and food! He was so attentive and made the best martinis and mocktails. Wide selection of alcohol. The appetizers were delicious. We had the pita bread, pizza and empanadas. Love the vibe of this place! First time there, The room was beautiful, the Sangria's were great... as an Interior Designer & Jazz Singer, I believe it was designed perfectly for a wine room And live music. There was an amazing acoustics band, and they really made the evening. I didn't realize they didn't come to you to take your order , you actually had to get up to order drinks at the bar, I was waiting for someone to take my food order but they never came. Great atmosphere, great music, but the welcome was a little cold, and I can understand this if it was very busy, but there were probably less than 20 people there. Maybe it was a bad night, maybe I'll try again, there's so many fun places to go......I LOVE MONROE!!! read more

Yelp, the Website and Instagram is not up to date with restaurant info. Opening hours are totally off. My friends and I set to go here before our movie at the Americana and got there at "opening" which we assumed was 3pm due to this Yelp page and the website. It was closed and even looked abandoned due to the unkempt state. We waited a bit but decided to walk to Americana to find an alternate restaurant. When our movie was done, we walked back to this restaurant to see if it's just closed for good but it was open! The bar tender said they opened at 5. We recommended to them to update this page and the website cause it is very wrong. They didn't seem to care and even had a slight attitude. This place was so great, I almost want to keep it to myself. We came in two nights in a row after our initial discovery because it was just perfect. The intimate loft area and cozy bar transport you to a place which seems typically unattainable in Los Angeles. I will say that the owner of this place is very engaged with his clients and clearly strives to provide the best possible service. However I would suggest that the waiters and waitresses please use a writing pad to take orders correctly, so that the customer is not served something different than ordered like in our case. They were very accommodating to this when I mentioned that what we received was not what I had ordered which I so greatly appreciate. I will definitely be back here. read more

My friends and I visited The Oak and Vine for a happy hour which is not widely advertised but if you dig and ask questions, they will tell you. The food and drinks were delicious but I do think that our waiter was either day drinking or just a very quirky man because he was not on his game and all over the place. We laughed about it. More of a casual bar vibe. read more

Made a reservation for this place on a Saturday but did not need it for the time frame we went as it was not busy. We were greeted by a nice young lady upon entering and she let us know we could sit anywhere. We sat at a high top near the bar. Our waitress was efficient. We ordered some food and I got a brut and my husband ordered a Pinot noir. For food we ordered: chips with three dips, shrimp cocktail, caprese salad and beef/chicken empanadas. Everything was really yummy. For the chips and dip, they could have given more chips since the dips were very generous. The caprese was fresh and delightful. The shrimp were a nice size and the empanadas were tart. The chimichurri was more of a pesto sauce but still good. My brut was nice and my husband enjoyed his Pinot. We ended up ordering a few more rounds of the pinot. This place was cute and had a nice patio area too. If you want a quick bite and a drink, it will meet your expectations. Loved this place and the vibe. Bartender, Graham was super nice. I got the White wine flight for $15 and loved each selection. We weren't that hungry so we just got one appetizer- the Fried eggplant - it had layers of burrata in between. Very tasty. Came with bread as well. It's right across the street from the Americana and it's now going to be our go to place after the movies. read more

Back in the habit! Came here for Wine Wednesday and had a blast on the happy hour specials... enjoyed some vino and the boilermakers (Pilsner + Bourbon)... my friend had a classy gin based well and lavish pizza bread.... she was in love with it... as most pizza lovers are... The Oak and Vine is a very mood lit... has great music and even better service. They do wine flight specials after 9pm and have a vegan option or two on the menu. A lot of stuff can be made vegan or is vegan friendly, but they don't have a major item aside from olives. Parking is pretty decent and nearby as there are a couple shared lots that are extremely walkable... street p is rare... but they don't validate. Overall recommend this place for any type of hang as they have ales, brew and beverages of all kinds. The reservations feature on Yelp is amazing and O&V is super accommodating! read more

There were six of us, around 9 pm, my Wife and I have frequented this place in the past and had no problems. We had friends visiting from out of town so se wanted to impress them. I ordered an old fashioned, the waitress didn't light the drink as mentioned in the description, she seemed to hate making the drink, no interest at all. Bad energy! We asked where the owner was, apparently the owner was out of town, hence the flat vibe. A kid who looked to be around 17 served us the flights, a couple of other waitresses stood around, the place was empty! The flights were very small amounts of wine, they should be called samples, not flights. The service was slow and lacked enthusiasm, almost as if we weren't welcome. The place is run by the brother/sister team who-glass in hand, often mingle with the patrons offering wine advice and exchanging trendy conversations . The place is a small 2 story that hosts live emerging artists upstairs with music talents of various origins. Comfortable outside seating is also available under the heaters for those side walk connoisseurs. Feed the meter parking is all along the street or park around the building and walk down. The Left Coast Wine Bar is a fenominal place. Not only do they serve about 400 different wines also amazing food along great custumor service. If you like a more personal athmosphere and for a waitress to really take time out to explaine about wine, than this is the right place. Also i had my birthday party there, and we had a blast. they let me reserve the upstairs area and i could invite all of my friends. It was just faboulos!!!! The customer service has really gone down hill. When we first began going here everything was fine, not outstanding but fine; a good place to go when all else is closed. Other than the occasional music it's an OK place. However, on our most recent visit we entered the establishment and there were a few older couples huddled up at a table close to the front entrance, maybe the owner? We were not acknowledged and had to wait at least two minutes to be welcomed by staff. I love this place. Great neighborhood bar with a super-relaxing atmosphere. Vibrant downstairs, a more relaxed lounge upstsirs and a patio. My friends like the house cocktails, I personally am working my way around the world tasting from their selection of a zillion types of whiskey from the USA and all over the world! Extensive wine list. The shareable plates pair nicely with whatever you're drinking. I had the special tri-tip sandwich that they have on weekends. Creamy horseradish sauce should be bottled! The Oak and vine Bar is the place to be! I just attended a glendale city mixer here and was blown away by the delicious food and great selection of alcohol. They are very knowledgable of their wine and the ambience is amazing. I love being able to sit curb side and enjoy a drink while everyone walks towards/away from the americana. Talk about location; five steps away from the american so that you can have a drink and then enjoy walking around. I haven't been to this place when there's live music but I definitely plan on going. My favorite time to visit, dine, and perform at the Left Coast Wine Bar is on Sunday nights. Bill, who runs the open-mic is one of the best hosts you will ever meet. When I first walked in the door in 2009, Bill was the first one to shake my hand, and invite me to be a part of the entertainment. Some of the best musicians in Glendale are on-hand. We started with the hummus w/red pepper appetizer, and for entrees I had the roasted chicken (cooked deliciously--crispy skin and well seasoned) and my friend had the lamb chops which she said were very good. We sat on the outside patio, which is so comfortable and a great vibe. They offer valet parking, but there is also plenty of street parking nearby too. Friendly and welcoming service and a really good experience, definitely recommend.

We soon decided on a couple of their lunch specials which are served until 4pm. It was close to 3 when we stepped inside so a rather late lunch. My Special was the Beef & Broccoli with Noodles. Hers, the Chicken & Mushrooms with Mixed Vegetables. My beef was tender and the broccoli was cooked just right. As were my noodles. The same for my wife's chicken and vegetables; with one exception we both noticed. They could definitely go lighter on the salt. One other complaint would be with our server Armen. Professional but rather lacking in the warm personality dept. On the other hand, the young lady that we assume was the manager, was very personable. We just didn't get her name. Not quite worthy of a five star rating. A little tweaking of the food seasoning, and wait staff training could change that.

The cake was first brought out with a candle, then taken to the back, sliced, and returned piled on top of each other, placed on the table with tongs for us to serve ourselves. For a paid birthday event, this felt careless and unprofessional. There was a clear lack of food and service. The salads and meat were cleared by 10:30 PM, leaving our table bare, and the beef BBQ was so dry I could barely bite into it. We were told to expect a DJ and live music, but there was no DJ. The live music did not even start until 8:30 PM. Between the few live songs, elevator-style background music was played, which you couldn't dance to. Most of the time you were just sitting and waiting for the next song. In total, there were only a handful of songs the entire night, from about 8:30 PM until 11:30 PM. Then all music was completely shut down by 12:00 AM while there were still guests in attendance. This felt extremely unprofessional and cut our celebration short. The alcohol service was handled very poorly as well. I personally supplied the alcohol to the restaurant, yet only two bottles were placed on our table initially. The rest was kept to the side, and throughout the night the men at our table were asking for alcohol and felt they were expected to tip servers just to have their shots refilled. (Over $250 in tips server collected from my guests) This was uncomfortable and completely inappropriate. For the price I paid, the lack of food, lack of service, and especially the poor handling of music and alcohol made this a very poor experience. I even asked the venue employee would music be back on and they said oh yes long as there are guests music doesn't stop! But it clearly did. I would not recommend this venue for an important celebration. Party ended at 12am on a Friday night.
