The mechanic said they didn't even put that on the courtesy inspection because all of the focus was on the headlight. So who's telling the truth here? I just said the timing is fishy and left because they had a look on their face not knowing why I would be upset. To sum it up, I didn't have check engine light. 3 hrs later after I picked up my car from this place, check engine light came on. It could be coincidence but extremely suspicious. I went to his shop to pick up my truck and supposedly he fixed it, but when I started to drive back the truck stopped out of nowhere! It almost got me killed. When I went to check on my truck to see what happened, nothing got done! There was no spar-plug or oil change, the fuses never were replaced and an addition to that my truck almost got on fire. He was paid over $700 for his services plus I had to pay $400 to tow it back to my house. He also makes YouTube videos (that don't help at all) for publicity to make money off of the less fortunate. He took the time to educate me on what was damaged and what the potential implications would be for choosing to or not to replace/repair. As it was I needed a good chunk of work done, but I was happier paying for that- and felt every dollar was well spent- than I ever have at a mechanic. From a total non-car person (get me where I need to go, and that's all I look for in a car) I felt like I got a great deal and superior service. Chads tutorial on my car and its problems/possible solutions made me confident that even if I were a car person, this was someone I could trust to do the job not only right, but well. Communication was timely and informational, and always came with with estimated costs. And the bill didn't exceed, in fact was less than, those estimated costs.
