At first, I wasn't sure if the food was gonna be good because this was just a little establishment with a few beers on tap and it was pretty quiet. It seemed a little artsy Fary, but unique. We ordered three dishes and had some local brew, and the sandwiches and food were great. All three of us thought. The food was delicious and the portions were large. The sandwiches and salad combos we ordered were very tasty and a perfect light dinner after going to the Sequoia Park Zoo and Redwood Skywalk. Place was clean, service was great and staff friendly. Randomly wandered into this deli due to the absurd line at los bagels. Sooo happy that we came. Ordered The Tony and this enormous sandwichy goodness came out and crushed. Salads and panini's are out of control. I am never going to Los bagels knowing the oak is right around the corner, plus beers on tap and over sized mimosas are a nice way to wash down The Oak's menu. Came in yesterday around 3. There was one other group inside who already had their food. We ordered an app, 2 sandwiches and my partner got a beer (only had 3 beer options.. odd for having "brew" in the name). It was roughly $60. We sat on the patio. The app was good, but it took nearly an hour to get our sandwiches. Not sure why, we didn't order anything weird. I had finished my iced tea and my partner had finished his beer by the time our sandwiches came. Unfortunately, they weren't anything special. About an hour later, we both started feeling sick. That was the only thing we had. We likely won't be back. We like supporting local, but disappointed after reading all of the good reviews and getting sick from the food. read more
