The Greens off the Oak Room patio

One of my favorite experiences during our stay at Sea Island! We headed over to the Lodge around 5pm on a Thursday. I wanted plenty of time to sit outside with a lovely drink and watch the sunset and hear the bagpiper. We got a perfect table on the patio and had awesome service from Savana, who we realized we had a small town connection with from north Georgia. I ordered a martini to sip on during our time. It was perfection, ordered just to my liking with loads of yummy olives on the side. It was truly the perfect drink to sip while sitting on this delightful patio. As we neared 6pm when the bagpiper was set to start, the patio started to fill up. Soon every table had guests and out came the bagpiper right on time. Looking out over the water, hearing glorious music while sipping a delicious martini truly made for a relaxing evening. While sitting on the patio, we put our name in for an outdoor table at the Oak Room for dinner. Once we were done watching the bagpiper, we went in and were seated at our table on the patio. Our spot overlooked the firepit, where we could watch kids playing and the roaring fire. ' I easily selected the tuna tartare plus a caesar salad with blackened shrimp, add tomatoes, bacon, and avocado for dinner. The tuna tartare was light and lovely and perfect. It appears already gone from their menu, replaced by delicious sounding mussels and a low country seafood dip. I'm bummed to miss both! But my caesar salad truly was perfection. My husband quickly proclaimed I outordered him (he got the burger, which was beefy deliciousness!). The georgia shrimp were perfectly blackened, plump, and full of juicy sweetness. I could honestly eat that salad every day and never grow tired of it. We also had excellent service at this meal. Everyone was truly delightful to engage with from the hostess to the bartender to our waiter. A+ service. After dinner, we wandered back outside, drinks in hand from the bar, and sat in cushy chairs by the water. It was so relaxing to sit outside, looking up at the stars while listening to the sound of the waves. Truly one of those times that I know I will look back on for years to come and think what a special moment it was with my husband. I can't wait to return to the Oak Room!

One of our favorite places to go in Sea Island! Starting with the atmosphere of overlooking the golf course with the bagpiper playing in the back, you can't get this kind of ambience anywhere else. The pimento bacon rolls and butter that they start you off with are a great touch - I also started off with a tomato bisque soup that I had never had before, but it was incredible. I wish that was an option on the menu every time. I ended up having the mezze platter as my meal and enjoyed. I don't eat much meat so this menu is sometimes tough for me, but I always come back! Also, the service is top-notch and they care of you nicely here. 5 stars all around and a place we will always make sure we come by when we're in town.

The food here is delicious! We try to make it to the Lodge once a year for steak. As a rancher's granddaughter I know my steak and this is the BEST!

Easily the best fine dining meal of our visit. Fresh red snapper perfectly pan seared with a delicate sparingly used white sauce perched atop a bed of light veggie pasta and a side fennel salad would please any pallet. Underneath all of this flavor the plate was lined with ultra thin sliced pickled beets. Service was impeccable. The room overlooks the putting green and we were treated to a bag piper after supper and alking the grounds. Opulence graces every square once of this grand resort.

The cheese dip is on point and the pretzels? Andy loved them! He was a huge fan of the Diet Coke as well. Will update you on the nachos!

Fantastic service from start to finish. Mike was our server and was absolutely fantastic. Took a lot of time describing the menu and wine list. Food was 5 star and all set in a beautiful restaurant.

My boyfriend and I had an absolute phenomenal experience here! The food was great and our server was even better. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries and it was cooked to perfection. They accidentally put bacon bits on the burger (wasn't a huge deal) and completely made me a new one. The manager also came out to apologize and offer us free dessert! We had the Brie mac n cheese as an appetizer and it was to die for! Best I've had. I'd give this restaurant a 10/10

This place always has a great vibe! I have written a couple of other reviews on Yelp or maybe it was Open Table for Crabdaddy's in the past and always 5 stars. I've been coming here for 30 years and never have had a negative experience! If visiting or new to the island put this on the list you won't leave disappointed. Strongly encourage making reservations as they're always busy! That's a good thing!

Any fish over angel hair pasta is exceptional. Their blackened fish can be hit or miss... had the blackened grouper last week and it was good, but a little heavy on the seasoning, at the expense of being able to taste the fish. And the bread pudding, my god, the bread pudding. This is one of my all-time favorite desserts and I would put Crabdaddy's bread pudding up against any other restaurant on the island. Service is usually excellent, too. Easily in my top five restaurants on SSI.

I highly recommend their buffalo crab dip, a concoction that is a buffalo cheese dip served with fresh lump crab. You can really taste the crab in this dish. They don't skimp on it at all. The most clever thing that they did here, though, is to serve it with wonton chips. It's something that's truly unique, as most restaurants would serve a dish like this with regular chips. The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service. I strongly recommend this place!

The space looks great, and it was exciting to see them expanding into dinner service. I went in craving a good burger and ordered the Smashburger, upgrading to the truffle fries... and wow. Sooo good. The burger was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and everything you want from a smash-style burger. The truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade--crispy, indulgent, and hard to stop eating. Overall, a great first dinner experience post-renovation. We're excited to come back and try more of the dinner menu. Highly recommend checking it out!

Maybe they only take reservations by phone, even though it is 2026, but it should say something to that effect on their website. It was evident they preferred reservations and said they were packed but there were plenty of tables unseated. The table we were seated at, was very wobbly. Which is an annoying thing that is easily fixed. I will say that the bread and the marinated saladswere both very good and our baked potatoes were perfect but that's where it ends. My son got the filet and my husband got the ribeye. They both ordered medium rare but both were well done and chewy. We did not say anything to our waitress or complain bc we are just not those kind people but it was disappointing to say the least. A steak place that has been in business for as long a they have should have perfected their steaks, I got the grilled chicken and when it came, I thought they had brought me fried chicken by mistake. I was expecting a grilled chicken breast (my mistake for assuming) but it was 4 pieces of what appeared to be smoked chicken on the bone. They were pretty tasty but felt like something I would get at a bbq restaurant, not a steak house. Needless to say, we will not be back.
