I came for the deviled eggs but the steak frites won me over! The deviled eggs are not quite bite-sized, so you do have a mouth full but it's an explosion of the best deviled eggs I've ever had. The fried oyster on top with a drop is hot sauce was incredible. I got a half portion of the roasted carrot salad, I could have used more carrots and I didn't realize it came with blue cheese but overall a really good salad. There were these crispy cornbread sprinkled on top, I could have eaten that by itself! And the steak frites won me over, perfectly cooked steak and the bone marrow fries were amazing. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is dimly lit so great for a date night dinner.

Overall we enjoyed our dinner here. Out of everything I was most impressed with service, our server was not only friendly and conversational, but also very knowledgeable about everything on the menu, provided great suggestions, and anticipated all of our needs. Truly great service. I liked the atmosphere of the place too, plenty of tables, yet it's kind of stretched out and the place doesn't feel crowded, I liked it. Booth and bar seating available. Freshly baked rolls with whipped butter were absolutely amazing. I went for hangar steak and I have to say it was absolutely delicious. We also had confit duck leg and knew your strip steak at our table and our friends loved it too. Sides "for the table" were hit or miss for me; Mac and cheese is delicious but that is not "for the table" size, this is a standard side for one person. Fries were great, good amount too (for the table!). Shishito peppers were eh, too overpowering flavor and hazelnuts seemed not fresh, but maybe it's just me. The peppers were the only thing we didn't finish. I also loved that all ice cream and sorbet flavors to choose from were unusual and house made. It's expensive so it's definitely not for your casual random go out night, but like I said, we had great experience here.

Classic American steakhouse at its finest, the gorgeous modern design gave a sophisticated vibe without being overly pretentious. I visited on a semi quiet Tuesday evening with only a few patrons at the bar. The waiter was fast and welcoming, immediately took my drink order of an old-fashioned that was perfectly executed. I had the medium rare steak frites, but substituted the fries for collard green. The steak was well-seasoned and buttery, while the flavorful collard greens were a bit too sweet for my liking. Also, the portion of the collard greens was weirdly massive, more than enough for two people. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and absolutely adored the elegant design and ambience of this wonderful establishment, and will add it to my bi-weekly roaster.

This was a last minute walk in and I sat at the bar so hungry from the day. I was attending an event nearby and couldn't focus until I filled my belly and I knew this place wouldn't disappoint. I sat at the bar, ordered an old fashioned, some rolls, a burger with fries and an additional side of collards. My burger was ordered medium and cooked exactly how I liked it. The collards were a great sized portion and seasoned well. It was pretty close to closing but it didn't compromise my experience on service or food which is always nice. Needless to say, I left happy with a belly full

Zack server was quite knowledgeable about the menu! The chef did a special presentation with additional $7.00 up charge of the fall Fuji apples, etc. normally with duck confit instead with the New Zealand venison, bone marrow frietes, bib salad & roasted beets. Also the mushrooms. Filet with the Yukon mashed potatoes. Dessert choices were innovative & superlative!

This is the 3rd time we have been here and this time the food was ok only. What is good this time: deviled eggs. The fried oysters are crunchy. We always get these every time we come here and so far they always make perfect deviled eggs. Filet mignon is soft and very good. The outside is cooked with some crust. Pair with their own sauce Oak steak sauce is perfect. The raw oysters are also fresh. Tartare was a miss this time. We did not taste the nuoc mam like we had last time. The rockefeller oysters are ok. We found them too cheesy. Caesar salad is also a miss. Not romaine salad like it should be. It has bitter taste. Do not get Foie Gras (the liver). We love liver but this is not liver at all. Overall the food is not good at all this time.

Walking in, you get an immediate cozy vibe in the restaurant. The server was always attentive and checking in on us. I dont usually eat oysters, but these were yummy. I ordered the steak and fries and everything was great quality.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary dinner, and it was a great choice! Our server, James, made our experience even better. He was amazing and very knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the oysters Rockefeller to try. And while I'm not a big oyster person, the topping on it was really good. For my entree, I had the boneless ribeye, and I can say it was probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was juicy and so full of flavor! I got a side of chimichurri, and that was the perfect addition. The sides are shareable, so we got mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese. The macaroni and cheese was okay. But the mashed potatoes? Absolutely delicious! If I come back to the area, I'd definitely go back there. It's a bit pricey, but well worth it.

We've been here before and it's always been consistently amazing but most recently we dined here for our 9 year anniversary in November and let me tell you, they sure know how to make you feel special. When you dine here you will be treated like kings, nay, gods. No, the food wasn't perfect but yes, they fixed any issues that came up (the over $100 dry aged steak was raw inside after being sent back to the kitchen twice but they comped it without us asking and the marrow fries were so salty to the point of being inedible although we didn't mention it because there was more than enough food to eat anyway). Tartare was nice and the spice on the side has quite the kick so be careful not to be heavy handed when seasoning your lettuce wrap. Good but wouldn't get again. Deviled eggs were incredible and topped with fried oysters. It's been a while but I wanna say my drink was called the blue lemon? I loved it. My husband said it didn't taste like alcohol but that's what I was going for hahaha Scallops are yummy. They gave us free marrow (with toast) and that was delicious. Bone marrow fries were the inedibly salty ones. It tasted like the cap fell off as they were seasoning it. You've gotta get the bread DUH it's amazing. Beef Wellington I ordered was like one of 7 and there were two left so of course I had to. It was lovely and the meat was perfectly medium rare. Sauce was quite salty but not unforgivable. We ordered the ice cream flight and they were all fantastic. They also gave us a complimentary blood orange dessert. Of course we will be coming back. The ambience is always gorgeous, intimate, and warm. The staff always goes above and beyond and is extremely attentive and helpful. They without a doubt went out of the way to make sure everything went smoothly for us and that we had a very special evening celebrating our anniversary there together. Definitely the best steakhouse in the triangle.

My grandfather always told me there's a few things worth spending money on in life. Food is not always one of them but at the right place, with the right people, who create a perfect experience, it can be. To start my 2025 dining experiences off with Oak Steakhouse for the first time, may have been a bad decision because now every place I go to from here on out, has a very high bar to meet. My husband and I love to try new restaurants, we try and pick at least one a month but strive for two. We've been to many different steakhouses around the area, all of the popular ones Im sure you've heard of. If you have not tried Oak Steakhouse yet and made it this far in reading my review, just stop here, make the reservation, and go indulge yourself. Ask for David :) He made the best recommendations to pair items together, knew the menu perfectly and was the star of our experience because of his attentiveness and knowledge. My husband even said "they dont have a cook back there, they have a chef!" Everything was so flavorful and dopamine filled with each bite. Here's what we had: We tried Rosie Corsair (rose petal infused kettle one, hibiscus syrup, lemon soda). It was like a hibiscus sprite with vodka, perfectly paired flavors, it was light and crispy with a bit of sweetness. My husband ordered the flight of old fashions. He LOVEs a good old fashioned and has learned not everyone can make a good one, even though it's a simple drink. His flight had Old Forester 1920, Evan Williams (house aged), and the seasonal old fashioned was an Apple version. His favorite was the house aged Even Williams. They had a few things to it that make it theirs, which is what made the drink. For starters, the Parkerhouse rolls and roasted bone marrow. Fix your face if "bone marrow" tripped you out, it was DELICIOUS and not what we expected. You spread this bacon concoction onto a piece of what I think is sourdough bread thats been toasted. All the flavors just dance in your mouth, it was so good! We also shared a Caesar salad which was the best version of a Caesar salad we've ever had (we're big Caesar fans, I always judge a high end restaurant off their Caesar salad). For entrees we both ordered steaks. I got the filet and he got the ribeye so we could try both cuts. I never had a steak cooked so perfectly to my liking, I ordered mine medium well because too much red will upset my stomach although I used to love a good medium steak. Both steaks had the perfect fill flavor and we topped them both with chimichurri. I loved their chimichurri, it was more like a soft butter spread texture than super oily like some can be. SO GOOD. Even the mashed potatoes and collard greens had their own moment. They just did not miss with anything. The collards have some of the "southern" flavor of a lot of us in the south enjoy but with their own spin on it with the creamy texture and flavor. To wrap up our evening we tried their Peanut Butter Pie. It's like a much better version of a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup and an Oreo had a baby who went on to become the president. It. Was. So. Good. A peanut butter mouse that just melts in your mouth paired with that crisp banana chip topping, creates a firework of flavors in your mouth that send you back for another bite, even if you are full. This will be our go to steakhouse of all special events or when we just want to have special date night out. I can no longer with good heart recommend some of our favorite steakhouses in the same price bracket, this will be my #1 pick for now.

Gorgeous steakhouse in Raleigh for date night! The food was absolutely delicious - you must get the rolls! Every staff member we encountered was very attentive, friendly, and knew their stuff! We would definitely return for a future special occasion!

We ordered a bruschetta board for an appetizer and I ordered the half panini & half salad for my entree. The bruschetta board is a must order because you can get 4 different kinds. The top tier choice is the salami pesto one. It's my absolute favorite. For my panini, I got the caprese one on ciabatta bread and the half of the mixed greens salad. The salad was delicious. This was a ton of food and felt very satisfying. I always love the vibe of Postino's, but this location was way too dark with only a small candle at the table. Service started off good and we were able to order our food without a problem. However, our server was done with his shift right after we ordered so we got a new server. Our new server had no idea we already ordered and was a little behind coming to our table for water refills. Despite that, we were in and out of the restaurant within 45 minutes. Postino is surrounded by other shops and restaurants, so they had a ton of parking available outside the restaurant. Highly recommend this place if you want good food!

Our server knew the menu inside out and guided us through it with confidence. Every recommendation landed. It also felt like one of those menus where it would be hard to order poorly. The Food The menu leans comfort food with a modern edge, and it's done really well across the board. We started with a Caesar salad with dill pickle dressing, which sounds like it shouldn't work but absolutely does. Bright, fresh, and just different enough to be interesting without trying too hard. The beet salad was also excellent, clean flavors and well balanced. Then came the pimento cheese with fried crackers. This might have been the sleeper hit. The crackers are dangerously good. Simple idea, executed perfectly, and hard to stop eating. For mains, the fried chicken was solid but didn't stand out the same way the starters did. The short rib pot pie, on the other hand, was exactly what you want from a dish like that. Rich, flaky, and deeply comforting. Our starter of roasted beets had an incredible blend of buttermilk blue cheese with white balsamic thyme, pickled pumpkin, and Marcona almonds. So yummy. I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

First of all, I implore anyone wanting to go, make reservations during peak hours! We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.

This is a sun-drenched hideaway where the city seems to exhale. This downtown bar and restaurant…read morefeels less like a room and more like a warm afternoon--light spills through oversized windows, stretching across honeyed wood floors and catching on glints of brass and gold like little sparks of celebration. The patio blurs the boundary between inside and out, inviting breezes, laughter, and the occasional curious passerby to join the scene. Inside, it's a playful clash of textures and tones--lush greenery tumbling from shelves, vibrant colors dancing against natural wood, and polished metals winking from every corner. It's the kind of place where a cocktail feels brighter, conversations linger longer, and even the sunlight seems to stay for just one more round. From the moment you step in, the welcome feels less like service and more like being let in on a good secret. The staff greet you with easy smiles and a kind of genuine curiosity--like they're actually glad you chose this spot, today. There's no script, no stiffness--just a natural warmth that settles in as quickly as the sunlight. Behind the bar, the bartenders move with quiet confidence and a touch of showmanship. They know their craft, but they don't flaunt it--they share it. Ask for a classic, and it arrives perfectly balanced; ask for something new, and they'll read your mood like a seasoned mind-reader. The deviled eggs arrive perfectly plump, sunshine-yellow centers whipped into a silky, indulgent cloud and topped generously with the red peppers that bring just the right whisper of fresh garden drama, they're rich without being heavy, playful without trying too hard--the kind of bite that makes you pause mid-conversation, raise an eyebrow, and make you want to slowly work through the next one. They only come in odd numbers, sharing isn't caring on these. The BBQ hot honey pork ribs show up like they own the place--sticky, glistening, and just a little bit dangerous. The meat barely clings to the bone, surrendering at the slightest nudge, impossibly tender yet somehow still juicy, with those caramelized, crispy edges that feel like the best kind of rebellion. Sweet heat from the honey lingers just long enough to keep you coming back, fingers unapologetically messy and completely worth it. And then there's the mac & cheese--rich, velvety, and indulgent in a way that feels almost mischievous. Each spoonful stretches and melts like it's putting on a show, wrapping you in buttery comfort while quietly stealing the spotlight. Together, it's a plate that doesn't ask for your attention--it demands it, and you'll be more than happy to oblige. Cheers!

If it's a beautiful day, I'd definitely recommend sitting outside instead. Still, the inside has a cozy, laid-back feel that works well. Shoutout to Qua, who was both the hostess and our server. She was welcoming, attentive, and handled everything smoothly, even as a few more parties came in while she was the only one serving at the time. One thing I really appreciated was that she let us know upfront what items were out of stock before we even looked at the menu. That level of transparency is huge and makes the experience so much better. My son ordered a slider with fries from the kids' menu. It comes with just one slider, so I ordered a second, definitely the right call. He enjoyed it, and the fries were cooked well, just a little on the salty side for our taste (ketchup helped balance that out). I had the shrimp tacos. It's packed and perfect portion for lunch. The shrimp, pineapple slaw, and chipotle mayo was a nice mix. The restaurant was clean (including the bathrooms). The location is also a plus, super close to the Art Museum, which makes it a great stop before or after visiting. Overall enjoyable, and I'd come back, especially to try more of the menu and the drinks.
