A Hidden Gem Worth Finding…read more The day after the World Cup Final, we needed to find a place for lunch near our Airbnb. Sometimes those unplanned stops turn into the best discoveries, and that's exactly what happened at The Glass Cat. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Berkley, our server. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. She knew the menu well and wasn't shy about making recommendations, which always earns extra points in my book. She told us The Glass Cat is known for their biscuits. I laughed and admitted, "I'm really not a biscuit guy." She smiled and insisted I at least try a half order. Well... she was right that they were good, but I've officially confirmed I'm still just not a biscuit guy. Nothing against theirs--I think I'm simply impossible to impress when it comes to biscuits! Since I'm familiar with this part of the country, I couldn't pass up the Tenderloin Sandwich. It wasn't exactly like the classic pork tenderloin sandwiches I've had elsewhere, but it was absolutely delicious. The pork was tender, the toppings were fresh, and the fries were cooked exactly the way I like them--golden brown with a nice crisp on the outside. At Berkley's recommendation, my wife ordered the Egg, Cheese & Bacon Biscuit with hash browns. She wasn't kidding about the bacon--it was thick, smoky, and full of flavor. I stole a bite (as good husbands do), and it was a really tasty breakfast sandwich. The hash browns were another highlight--crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked. While we ate, we soaked in the local atmosphere. It was fun listening to everyone engage in a conversation. My wife and I discussed making our plans for the day and return trip for tomorrow. We made a quick stop at the nearby Price Chopper to grab a few things for the Airbnb. The Glass Cat Cafe may be a little off the beaten path, but that's often where you find the best local restaurants. Good food, generous portions, outstanding service, and a relaxed hometown vibe made this a memorable stop. I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in the area. Chef T's Scorecard: * Food: 9/10 * ‍ Service: 10/10 (Thanks, Berkley!) * Value: 9/10 * Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Overall: Sometimes the best meals aren't found where everyone else is eating--they're found where the locals are. The Glass Cat Cafe is one of those places.

We ordered the country fried chicken with hash browns and the pumpkin pancakes, and every single thing on my plate was incredible. The hash browns were crispy perfection, the country fried chicken was flavorful and comforting, and the pumpkin pancakes were honestly some of the best I've had in a very long time. They were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and just the right amount of sweet and pumpkin. On top of the amazing food, the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. If you're looking for a great local breakfast spot, don't let the small hole in the wall appearance fool you. this place is absolutely worth the visit, we'll definitely be back!

July 18, 2026 evening. My wife and I had never eaten at a Bob Evan's. So this is our first time…read more We had a short wait to be seated. We were the 4th group waiting to be seated. While seated, a lady walked out and said "good luck". I asked is that a good or bad? She said bad. Good luck getting waited on. We still stayed and this is our review: After a total wait of maybe 10 min (6:55pm)at most, the hostess seated us and brought us our drinks. About 7 min later our waitress came. She was very friendly. Took our order and brought us fresh iced teas. Then she brought hot butter melting fresh rolls. 7:20 our food was brought. Hot, tasty. She brought us fresh teas. I should say my wife counted 10 tables this one waitress had. The hostess helped her a little by bussing tables after delivering the first round of tea. I might say the waitress Darla was definitely on top of everything. She was very very good. 7:35 we finished eating. I thought the chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes with gravy was excellent. The green beans were good and tasty but not especially visually appealing. But not bad. 7:40 she brought us our check. Totally good review. Restaurant was clean, table and booths were fine. No complaints. I'm not sure what the lady that warned us before the meal had problems with but our experience was all positive.

The first time we were able to get the order, but this most recent time, we could not. They took $31.26 from our bank account, and we got nothing in return. I called the location to cancel and was told, "Okay, I will tell them," but we never received a refund. The website lets you choose delivery at the start of the order, but if it is unavailable, you are never told. Instead, you complete the entire order, including payment, and then are given a pickup time. If you can't pick it up, too bad -- you are just out the money. This is poor customer service, deception, and fraud. We won't be ordering from here again.
