I was nervous about my move. Lots of bookcases and boxes loaded with books, papers, fragile art pieces, a rock, and misc furniture, and lots of unboxed twick, including light bulbs. Alex, Sergie, and Pael boxed it all for me. // My new place is at the bottom of a long narrow driveway, with electrical wire that prevented them from backing close to the apartment. They had to lug everything down, including the rock. The guys were professional, confident, and friendly even when they had to move the truck so a neighbor could leave for work. My move was scheduled for March 1st. We started off with a small glitch when one of their trucks broke down, but John and crew came by to check on me and planned to complete my move on the 2nd. They arrived right on time and treated me with kid gloves. I have some antique furniture and everything was covered and wrapped, even things I wouldn't have wrapped up. John and Max were the best. Kostya, Victor, Cuba came out to move us today and are the hardest working team I have encountered. Our move took only 5 hours when I would have estimated it to take 9 hours. They were efficient, professional, and never stopped working the entire day. Even when we requested them to take a break, the mention that their time was our money and they wanted to make sure we were not wasting either. The 3-man team did a great job moving us from a two bedroom in Noe Valley. They called the day before to confirm the move and time slot. Movers showed up about 15 minutes after the time slot, but they called to say they were running late, so no problem there. They packed all our stuff and loaded it in to the truck in about three hours, then unpacked everything in an hour. In all they spent four hours and didn't stop for lunch even though they were working from 10am-2pm. Prices were as quoted (145/hr if you pay cash plus costs for moving supplies) and nothing broke/ no damage, etc. We would love to book them again for our next move! read more

Probably one of the easiest and best moves i have had to go through! Mike and Konstantin were very helpful. They arrived on time and were very professional. They wrapped everything to make sure all my furniture was safe. They moved me out of my apartment and the movers although they were amazing, they had trouble getting some furniture out of the doorway which left a lot of dents and dings on the corner walls. I was disappointed in that only because I got left with money taken out of my deposit from my apartment because of it. The only other negative thing I have to say is, originally when i booked the movers, I booked the movers that i had found on yelp with Rancho Cucamonga moving company. Mainly because I lived in Rancho. When I called to confirm, they even repeated to me about it being Rancho Cucamonga moving company. Not until the very end did I find out it was El Cerrito moving company. How was I supposed to know? That was very deceiving and disappointing to say the least. I would've put 5 stars but didn't because of how deceiving it was that it wasn't even the right moving company i booked, the dents in my walls, and losing money from my deposit. read more

Today was my moving day. I had set up my appointment with someone named Robert for today between 9-10am.I took two days off of work so that I could spend the weekend packing and move in Monday/ Tuesday. Im a single mom so getting this time coordinated wasnt easy. When I did not receive a standard reminder call yesterday, I called Robert to reconfirm the appointment. He was quiet for a moment and then seemed to recall that I had indeed made an appointment. He assured me two guys would be here. I got a call at 9am. The movers were at the gate, needed me to let them in. I ran out of the door without my keys and only realized so when I reached the gate. I signaled to truck. One guy gets out and I tell him I forgot the gate key, I will be right back. He nods, gets back in the truck.Two minutes later I return, the truck is gone. I spend 15 minutes walking the condo complex.. No moving truck. I call the guy back, no answer. I call Robert who calls me back 20 minutes later asking if they've returned. They never did return or bother to call back. Folks, save yourself the added stress and go with another company. I'm still so perplexed that these guys just left.. And their employer (?) couldn't even get ahold of them to remedy the nightmare that this morning has turned out to be. Id hoped this day would be a memorable one, after all I'm moving into my very first home.. But Devon from good guys moving company in San Pablo saved the day. read more

Seid and Dennis helped me move from my 1 bedroom apartment in El Cerrito to my room in a 2 bedroom apartment I was going to share with a roommate in the SF Marina on Sunday. They were both very pleasant, professional, careful, and hard-working. I had a lot of boxes and heavy furniture which they carefully protected with saran wrap and blankets before placing them on the truck. They also had wardrobe boxes to use, which came in handy when transporting dresses and coats already on a hanger. They disassembled my bed and re-assembled it at the new apartment in my room, which was crammed with ALL of my stuff that used to be spread out in a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment. I also used El Cerrito Movers last year when I moved from Emeryville to El Cerrito and will probably use them again in the future.
