We were observing the pack back for 10 minutes and not once did anyone come over to ask if we needed assistance. There were two employees only a few feet away from us chatting and not once did they make eye contact or look our way. I told my husband not to buy from this location because of the poor customer service we experienced. After making the comment to my husband that's when the lady standing at the register overheard, and then asked how we were doing. I said fine and we left. Oh! I showed her a picture of something made 20 years ago and she instantly knew the model and the direct lineage and found me exactly what I was looking for. She is the most knowledgable person I've ever been helped by, at any store not just at an Oakleys. She also helped style the best pair for my girlfriend as well. she even has an Oakley tattoo! I was searching for eyewear to wear while biking. There are many considerations I needed to make and took my time evaluating options and exploring the various styles. I ended up buying 2 pairs. The next day I returned a pair. During the return, the female associate that was assisting me, made a few indifferent comments about how long I was in the store during my purchase and that it took 12 hours to determine I wanted to return one pair. Clearly, I bothered this rude lady despite being extremely polite to her during the transaction I have a large collection of high-end sunglasses, and I make purchases frequently, but I won't be buying Oakleys anytime soon--especially from this location. read more

I always thought Oakley was only for men. I was in search of new sunglasses for sports and my online research led me to Oakley as the best value for quality. During my search, I also learned Oakley has Asian style. So I came here one day after work. I told one of the staff the exact style I wanted and tried on. It was a bit too big. He kept coming back with some more to see if any fits better until he found the perfect pair for me. They also customize if you prefer certain colors or lens. This particular one is PRIZM technology with polarized lens. I finally got to try this morning during my long run. The color I see through the lens were so amazingly clear, I had it on for 90 minuets and the sunglasses didn't bother me as it was so light and fit perfectly. Staff there are also athlete themselves and they wanted to make sure it fits me well during my 4+ hours race. He proceeds to tell me "if you purchased a Ford, would you take it to Ford if there was a defect or the guy you purchased it from!" I replied "yes I take it to Ford, that is exactly what you do if there is a manufacturer recall!" Tom is the best! We had been to 2 other Oakley stores (Tempe and one in Whalers Village Maui).Tom was the only one who gave us the correct information on prescription lenses. Tom and Cam went out of their way to find spare transition lenses that are no longer being made. Tom called weekly with updates on our prescription. Bought some Oakley Sunglasses a few years ago for $200 and have had nothing but problems with the film separating from the lense and now the rubber ear pad cracking. I walked in and asked the lady about fixing or replacing the rubber ear pad and she said she had a kit that could replace the cracked piece for $12 or $15. She replaced the parts and then charged me $9 which made my day. read more

Usually I have good experiences in this store, but today was different. I planned on purchasing new lenses for my current glasses and a new pair of glasses. I decided on a set of lenses and the store manager, Cam rang me up through an iPad. I mentioned that the process was taking a long time and that I would rather just order it on my own. Cam then said that he put in a code where we would receive free shipping, but I needed to purchased from him, in store to receive the discount. Even though he had a bad attitude, I agreed and pushed through with the purchase. While in line at the apple store, I decided to check out Oakley.com and it showed that every order gets free shipping and on top of that there's a great offer on a second purchase. (Even though I was receiving help in looking forward a second set of glasses, this offer was not mentioned) I mentioned this to Cam and he replied. "I don't know. I don't run Oakley.com" I decided to return my purchase and do the whole transaction myself, through my login on Oakley.com. Cam said that he cannot do a return on an order that was placed only minutes ago. He said he cannot call customer service because it's a Sunday. This was an underwhelming customer experience. Oakley makes good glasses. If you plan to buy their products, I suggest going online, or to a different store. You might walk out if this location disappointed. read more

Oakley Almost a month ago, I went to this Oakley to get sunglasses for my whole family. We ended up buying 5 pairs amounting to more than $700. We also spent around 45 minutes in the store picking out glasses (this is relevant later). Two weeks later, my wife came back because she wanted to see what other colors the glasses she bought came in for a possible exchange (Oakley allows customers to exchange their glasses up to 30 days after purchase). I wasn't with her so the following account was what she told me. She came to the store, she was walking around  and she was checking out some new glasses in the mirror. In the mirror, she saw that the woman who originally sold us the glasses was pointing to my wife and talking to her manager probably thinking my wife couldn't see them. My wife overheard her telling her manager, "This woman wasted almost an hour of my day." My wife was very shocked, but trying to avoid any confrontation, she decided to just leave. Today was the 29th day after purchase and my 15 year old son wanted to change the colors of his glasses so we once again went to Oakley. My wife, understandably, refused to go back to the store, so I went with my son. The young lady who sold us the glasses and made that rude comment about my wife (we found out her name was Emma) was there again. I pitely approached her and told her that my son wanted to change the colors of his glasses, but upon inspecting them, she said that they couldn't be exchanged because she found some scratches on them. This couldn't be correct as my son didn't even use them and, upon asking where the scrat he's were, I couldn't even see them. After this, I once again asked her where they were (as I couldn't see them) and she changed her story and said it was only on one lens and not both. I got a little bit disappointed that she lied about one lens having a scratch and I again asked her where the scratch on the other lens was. She completely disregarded what I said and called her coworker over (I assumed she was the store manager). The lady told the coworker (whose name was Camelle), "These people come in the store and exchange their glasses all the time and I'm si k and tired of it." I overheard this and walked towards them and I said, "This is my first exchange; what do you mean by these people?" Camelle disregarded what I said, took the glasses, and walked towards the counter. She looked at the glasses and I noticed that she took her nail and scratched the top of the glasses' lens. She gave it back to me and haughtily said, "Do you see this big scratch?" I inspected it not even 2 minutes ago and the lens that Emma said didn't have a scratch suddenly had a scratch on it. I told her, "I just looked at it and there was no scratch." And she said, "The only favor I can do to you is sell you a new pair." I angrily told her, "You just scratched it and now you want me to buy a new pair from you guys. And you're doing me a favor by selling me a new one." She said, "Either you buy the glasses or leave the store." At that point, my blood was boiling, but I didn't want to create a scene, so I just walked away. While walking away, I heard the coworker telling Emma, "This is how you deal with these people." They were very rude and very disrespectful and I never ever want to give Oakley my business again. read more

I need to replace my 2 year old prescription Oakley sunglasses. When I went in a very professional sales person introduced me to "Tom" who is the optometrists at this store. They took my insurance plan too. He helped me find the perfect frames and lens. My new glasses came back in 2 weeks as promised. I'm very happy with the glasses. The only negative experience at this store they have a young male sales person that is loud, and rude. He kept interrupting my conversation with Tom try to tell funny jokes. I had to ask him go away. If you need prescription sunglasses this is the place to go. First, everyone in the store was very helpful and friendly. I tried several pair and got advice on what frame fit me best. They even got some discontinued frames from the back so I could try them. Next I had to speak with Tom because I need prescription lenses. Wow. He thoroughly explained the benefits of Oakley and took time to answer all my questions. He measured me for progressive lenses with a precision I had never seen before. He even took the time to adjust and measure my current glasses that I was having trouble with. It was by far the best customer service I have received in recent memory. I've never been to a retail store where the customer service would bring me back but the Oakley store at Fashion Square left me wowed. Their staff is friendly but not pushy. They introduce themselves by their first names and are eager to listen and help. I bought a pair of Oakley's from Sunglass Hut and when they broke within the first month and a half I attempted to return them. Sunglass Hut said they could not help me so I went to Oakley to see if there was anything I could do since they were recently purchased. Oakley proceeded to replace my sunglasses, register them in the event of future defaults, and explain to me their warranty and tips for prolonged care. I should have purchased my glasses here from the beginning. Mike, the store manager was awesome. He was easy to have a conversation with and in general just seemed like a really great person.
