I was a customer of Oasis years ago but had sadly left them. Today, I took my car to another shop based on a quote they gave me a week ago to change the timing belt and attached pulleys and such of around $200. I dropped my car off at this other shop and got a call 20 minutes later changing the quote to $811 and wanting to know soon if they would be repairing it so they could finish it on Friday.I called Oasis just to see what they might quote. John was awesome! The original quote he gave me was $670 but he discovered one of the parts the other shop was going to replace wasn't actually on my car, so he got it down to $603. He saved me over $200 - had all of the repairs done before he thought he would, an entire hour less labor than the other shop! John actually had me come behind the counter so he could show me the time the computer said it should take, the other shop was taking me for a ride. $100 in unneeded time just in labor. You can't beat the $17.95 oil changes either! I am so happy I called them! We just bought this car and really want to make sure we are taking care of it but not overspending to do it! John and his staff are awesome! John even told me, if I wanted to get another quote to go ahead, he said always get two. This is the service that had kept me coming there for years under the previous manager. I will absolutely be taking my car there and recommending them to friends. I stopped by to have one of my brake lights replaced at this shop that's up the street from my house. They were friendly, and had it fixed in about 5 minutes. I was heading in to their waiting area to pay for it, but the nice guy who helped me told me not to worry about it, that it was on the house. I'd never been there before, but I'll definitely be back after their awesome customer service. Highly recommended. If you live in the area, check them out. Thanks again, Tanner! read more

Johnny left and is no longer there. I sent my car earlier this week for service. The place was a mess, they obviously didn't clean the place at the end of the day on a regular basis. The new service manager was ok, but didn't call me at the end of the day like he said he would. The staff looks like it was completely turned over with the exception of one guy. Although my car turned out ok, I have lost confidence in the operation. I took my car to a different place today, and the place was clean, the shop was organized, and the customer service was fantastic. Oasis needs to get it's act together before they start losing customers. I would no longer recommend them. read more

By far the best mechanic I've been to. I've taken my 2004 Saab here for regular maintenance before selling it, but I continue to use Oasis for any auto needs. Their prices are reasonable and service has always been great. These guys will tell you what you need to have fixed, they won't give you a laundry list of unnecessary items just to make $$. read more

Be careful doing business here. My Optima batteries mysteriously disappeared and supposedly no one knows where they went and I have been given the run around to get replacements. I guess Tony assumes people have $400.00 just sitting around collecting dust. read more

Do not give these guys your money! I took my newly purchased used truck there for an inspection and oil change. They had it for 24 hours and never even looked at it. This is the second bad experience my wife and I have had with their Tempe location. We will not be going there again. read more

I know i'm in the minority, but I had a lousy experience recently when I took my car in for brake work. When I got it home there was brake fluid leaking out of the left front wheel. I found that the brake hose was not fully screwed in to the wheel cylinder. As a result, the threaded metal end of the brake hose had been bent against the hub, and had cracked. Also, the copper washer was missing. I pulled the wheel off of the other side, which was ok. I then got worried about the rear brakes, so I pulled the drums to find that the rear drums were not turned. Also, they had installed the springs on the rear shoes incorrectly so that they did not contact the brake adjustment mechanism, meaning the brakes would never stay in adjustment. This was not the only problem I had, but was the one that was the most severe, because it could have resulted in an accident. By the time I discovered the leak I was already burned out from talking with Tony and Anthony and their lousy attitudes that I decided to vent here and maybe help out somebody else. I went to Oasis Auto Center and had them try to find out what is wrong with my vehicle. I have a 1998 Saturn SC2 Coupe. It was missing quite a bit, and revving up to about 2500 rpm's when I started it up. Well, I was told it was my throttle position sensor, so I had them put a new one in. I drove home and parked my car. About 8 hours later I had to go run an errond. As soon as I started the car up, it was revving up again. I drove it toward my next destination and it was missing again, too. I thought to myself, heck, I just paid 160 bucks for them to fix my car, and it was still not fixed right. The next morning I took it back to them, and suddenly needed a gas regulator for it. That was about 35 bucks more I spent. I mentioned to Johnny, the shop manager, that it never needed a throttle position sensor, because it was still doing the same thing, and a little worse. Well, his argument was, "what a car can't have more than one problem?" I said of course it can. One reminder, my car was still doing the same thing. So replacing the throttle position sensor didn't do a thing. According to Johnny, there plug in computer tool said it needed one. Anyway, new plugs were put in it, too. I was told the Bosch plugs were junk. The new plugs didn't do a thing different. Well, once again my car was supposed to be fixed. It wasn't. It's doing the same things it was doing when I 1st took my car there. Well, I went to Oasis Auto Center, a third time. They replaced a pcv valve. Once more it started acting up again. When I start my car, it stalls out right away unless you give it a bunch of gas. It's also revving up still too. I am currently trying to get a refund or have them fix it right. So far I've been getting the run around. I am completely unsatisfied with Oasis Auto Center. I will never take my car back there again. And I would recommend to others to never take any vehicle to get worked on at Oasis Auto Center, and neither of their other two locations. I hope this message gets out to alot of people, because knowing I am making them lose business from reading my review will make me a happy camper. Oasis does not get any stars from my rating. As for getting a refund or getting them to fix it right, I will keep you posted. read more

I will NEVER go back to this oasis auto. Johny, the manager *or so he calls himself* and his crew made my car issues worse! I was able to drive my car into the shop, just had a split tube that I wanted replaced. AFTER 3 DAYS, they call me back and tell me my headgasket was blown! Ummmm, I drove it into the shop, so that wasn't the condition I brought my car in. If my headgasket was blown before I brought it in, I wouldn't have been able to even drive it in! After they had my car a week, and a lot of money later (including a car rental) I finally got my car back. The next week, my car wouldnt start. I took it to a different shop, only to find out that oasis put the OLD timing belt back on (even though a new one was noted on my slip) So I then had to pay for a new belt and tow. NOW, a year later, I find out that the mechanic who rebuild my headgaskit, didn't replace the air filter or clean anything out. NOR, did they clear the codes from the computer. So I just had to spend another $100+ to FINALLY fix the issues they caused, on top of that, since they didn't clean anything out after they finished, water got trapped in my engine and caused a perminant erosion of *some part* and now I will have to deal with a constant ticking.... unless I want to replace the whole engine. Which is the only solution to the problem... but it could have EASILY been prevented, had they finished the job properly. I had 3 mechanics since then look at the work they did, 2 of them called them a joke and one said they did JUST OKAY. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM, I wouldn't wish that kind of service on my worst enemy! I wouldn't even give them 1 star if they paid me.... but this thing wouldn't allow me to NOT put a star. read more
