Hibachi grilled items. Flanken ribs are available as a meat selection.
Jeanne W.

New Asian buffet in the old Wood Grill Buffet location. Great buffet with a plethora of items; too many to try in one sitting really, unless one has a humongous appetite. That just means a return trip in the near future. I recommend the hibachi grill where a made to order dish with your own ingredient selections will be cooked while you wait. I made a plate with assorted veggies, noodles, flanken beef rib, chicken, egg, and surimi. I noticed a pan of cold steamed rice as well so there is an option to have the chef make a custom fried rice for you. Saucing selection is a teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, hot chili oil, and garlic. The chef was spot on with the seasoning. The final product was quite delicious. There are numerous seafood items, both hot and cold, in the buffet stations. Sushi and sashimi is available as well and is very fresh. There were at least two different kinds of baked fish and assorted fried seafood like shrimp and squid. I particularly enjoyed the baked shrimp filled scallop shells. The filling had a nice flavor with chunks of chopped shrimp. A chicken stick and BBQ pork rib were flavorful and tender. The little deep fried blue crabs were tasty, just be sure to select the ones with plenty of meat. I got a hot and sour soup. The soup could have been spicier so it was in the strong okay category. I noticed a Westlake seafood soup available but did not try it. That is definitely for the next visit. Staff were polite and efficient. Used plates were removed expeditiously. I went around 4:00 pm so there was no wait. Best to dine between peak lunch and dinner times to avoid the crowds. Plenty of parking in the spacious lot.

Tried out the new Oasis Buffet in Hesperia and overall, it was a decent experience. The prices are fair, and they offer kid pricing and military discounts, which is always appreciated. It's a new spot, and you can tell--they've done a nice job keeping things clean and the food looked fresh. There's a good variety of seasoned food options, including some kid-friendly choices, which worked well since I went with all my kids (and they enjoyed it!). The baked mussels and chicken were really good, and I tried a little bit of everything. That said, the sushi was a bit too warm for my liking, and I wish they had more dessert options. It definitely gets packed, so expect a bit of a wait--but it wasn't too bad. I haven't been to a buffet in years, and while I didn't have a bad experience, I'm just not sure buffets are really for me anymore. Still, if buffets are your vibe, I'd recommend checking it out!

Upon answering, we were greeted very friendly and then seated immediately. The ambience was neutral nothing extravagant, very bland and plain. I noticed there was a sushi bar and I have been craving sushi almost every day so I was definitely excited about that. I first decided to walk around the buffet and see all my options. I also noticed a stirfry station so I decided to keep that in the back of my mind as well. I will tell you this.... There is nothing at this buffet that will have me coming back. Unfortunately, the sushi tasted like cream cheese wrapped in rice. The stirfry was bland and tasteless and everything on the hot buffet was under seasoned or undercooked. I definitely will not be returning. But you can try it out and see how you like it. I did see that the health department issued a "C" rating as I was leaving.

Definitely an average buffet. Selection is fairly large but quality is average and nothing to crave. I would say the price point is better than average and cheaper than some other buffets. Staff is attentive but the interior has not really changed since the previous buffet that occupied the same space a few years earlier.

A hibachi dish with chow mein, broccoli, chicken, and small amounts of rice.

The ambiance was decent and okay. However, the food was abysmal and it looked ominous. The hibachi was the only food that was okay. Everything else was mediocre. The only good thing that I experienced was the service. All the waiters were nice to us and everyone else, but overall, and to be honest, I wouldn't recommend this spot or come back.

Hair in Food

Food lacks flavor, rude servers who just stare at you while you walk around. Chef that cooks the raw food has an attitude for no reason, no hospitality at all in this buffet. And to top it off hair found in my food.

Seafood

Great food and I love the seafood there! I went there on valentines and enjoyed the crab and lobster. I'll be back again when I'm in town again.

We were placed in a semi-private area. The restaurant had ample indoor seating and was fairly spacious to move around. If you've been to other Asian buffets, you'll know what to expect at reasonable prices. The Hits: - Fire-grilled BBQ station (steak, galbi (short ribs), pork belly, and squid) - Variety of sushi and rolls (average quality for the nigiri) - Dim sum options (popular items that get refilled regularly) - Desserts and fruits - 16 flavors of ice cream - Coffee and boba station The Misses (that I tried) - the orange chicken (flavor was off and bland) - fried chicken wings (looked good and crispy, but they were bland and had no seasoning) Service and staff were great. From taking drinks orders to clearing used plates, they were fairly attentive to everyone in the party. The food was refilled at decent times as well. There were plenty of seniors dining here since there's a special price for seniors. Reservations are recommended for large parties or peak dining times (dinner and weekends). This was our first time here, and it was a pleasant experience overall. It's a decent Asian buffet if you're in the area. A solid 3.5/5 rating.

The Standouts: The seafood station and dim sum are the primary draws. The self-serve boba station is a novelty that stays busy. They have so many options to choose from. From seafood to Mongolian grill. They have plenty of sushi options as well. Food is good. Most of the food is fresh. I love their salt n pepper soft shell crabs, sooo good. Service is okay, it is a little tricky to call over a worker for a refill or a crab cracker. The only downside is the bathrooms are not the cleanest. Smells like urine and they always have the men's bathroom open. But my family loves coming here one of the cleanest buffet in the IE that's pretty decent,

The sushi and sashimi were decent--no fishy smell, no slimy texture, which is always the bare minimum and thankfully passed. That said, not to be mean, but some Yelp reviews calling this "FRESH SUSHI" and handing out 5 stars clearly have never tried truly fresh, great seafood. This is buffet-level fresh, and that's okay--just keep expectations realistic. If you're a crab leg fan, those were also decent and not overly salty like some other buffets I've been to. One thing to note: weekends get insanely crowded, so be prepared for that. That said, during our visit, the servers were actually attentive. The plates cleared quickly and drinks refilled without having to hunt anyone down. Overall, it was a satisfying experience, I left full, and most importantly... no food poisoning . For a buffet, that's a win. Would I come back? Yeah, probably. Just not on a packed weekend.

There is something here for everyone. We came here for lunch which was a great AYCE deal for $19.99…read moreper person. There was also an additional 15% discount currently on Tuesdays and Fridays. Huge variety of food at the buffet including seafood. I liked that there were items here that are not usually found at a typical Asian buffet like braised chicken feet and pork hocks. There were even salmon collars available. There was a soup available that had real lobster claw meat. I especially enjoyed the lotus leaf wrapped rice dumplings and baked crab on little scallop shells. Surprisingly, their tempura style French fries were really excellent, fresh, hot and crispy! (This was the first time I have tried fries off of a buffet line.) Good tasty food no matter what is chosen. I will definitely need to return to try their highly recommended Mongolian grill. Service was efficient and friendly. Used plates were removed quickly, keeping the table tidy. This place will definitely go on my dining rotation. Parking is plentiful.

Surprisingly, for a Friday night, the place was dead. Back then, I remember waiting 40 minutes to an hour just to get in. This time? We got seated immediately, and honestly... that already lowered my expectations. The selection was still pretty big with a lot of variety, so I started off with the seafood. It was decent. Nothing amazing, but good enough to satisfy the craving without worrying about food poisoning. The crab legs were ridiculously salty though. The biggest disappointment was the hot food section. I honestly don't understand how fried rice and chow mein can taste that bland. Zero flavor. The orange chicken and beef broccoli were okay, but definitely nothing memorable. They also had steak, though I can't remember which cut it was, but it was dry and overcooked. They also had a seafood boil section, but the shrimp were overcooked and the crawfish definitely didn't taste the freshest. It had that slightly off taste where you start questioning if you should keep eating it. Ironically, the best thing I had all night was the Mongolian BBQ. That was actually really good and probably the only thing I genuinely enjoyed. But that's also the disappointing part. If my favorite thing at a buffet is the Mongolian BBQ station, I could've just gone to a regular Mongolian BBQ spot, paid less, and probably enjoyed the meal more. The service also felt pretty off throughout the night. Most of the servers, the workers behind the buffet line, and even the bussers didn't seem friendly at all. Everything just felt slow and low energy, like nobody really wanted to be there. Not the worst buffet experience, but definitely nowhere near as good as I remembered it years ago.
