WAUUUU when did this place open? i never knew tustin to be a place that would have a korean restaurant/drinking spot... but here we are! so convenient i just wish this opened years ago. no need to drive to garden grove or la for a late night soju sesh with friends anymore! immediately walking it was it was super chill environment with cool decor. i believe this is family owned? and the owners that were there were super chill! prices are reasonable. a little over priced, but still solid. while drinking soju we also ordered some food! check out below: -soju ($11.95) - they had a good assortment of flavors -fish cake soup ($14.95) - tbh i don't really eat korean food a lot... but i liked this! it was able to fill multiple bowls for our table of 4 -sweet potato fries ($8.95) - not sure if my friend ordered super thin ones, but they were cut super thin and crispy and comes with a lot. I've had this at other restaurants and this place you actually taste the sweet potato -corn cheese ($11.95) - this was pretty sweet and thick with the cheese but overall super good!! overall... we will be back and highly recommend if you wanna drink soju and snack on food if you're in the area! read more

This absolutely is one of Tustin's hidden gems. OB Square is a Korean pub that serves really awesome food late into the wee hours of the night. (I believe they are open until 1AM most nights). The food is legit. I absolutely love their spicy seafood stew. One stew is enough for two people and is packed with delicious seafood, noodles and vegetables. It is amazing, seriously. You won't stop eating it. The chicken wings, cheese corn and bulgogi plates are also delicious. Be sure to ask for a side of kimchi or radish to eat along side with the food, a very nice way to compliment some of the heavier dishes. The vibes are very chill and the staff is super friendly. There is also a karaoke room and plenty of Korean beers to choose from! read more

I went to OB couples of times. I love the location, huge parking space, everything is close by. The chicken wings were so crunchy, goes well with the sweet and spicy sauce. Most of the dishes I ordered were labeled spicy but they were all mild. Chicken gizzards were under seasoned to my taste. The army stew was the highlight of the night, it's just perfect for chilly weather in California right now. It's like kimchi stew but wih a mix of other things like sausage, spam, slices of rice cake, pork belly, enoki mushroom, chewy noodles, and cheese. The stew can feed up to 5 people. Omurice is yummy, with large egg over spam and veggie fried rice. They have both dishes for sharing and dishes for munchy while drinking. Even though they have good selection of alcohol like beer, sake and soju, it's not the kind of place with loud music where you can go hard but more on the restaurant side. Free peanuts for snacking yayy. The host is so nice and friendly. You can have your own booth eating here and they are open pretty late compared to other places during the pandemic. I absolutely loved the environment of this restaurant when I walked in. This place looks like it would be a great spot to eat and drink with friends late at night. I ordered the Takoyaki as an appetizer and Black bean noodles as my main entree. Takoyaki has octopus inside. Very tasty. The black bean noodles also tasted delicious. Ehh, not a fan. The best part of OB is the retro ambience and good company, but good company can be had anywhere. I tried some spicy wings and Sapporo. So happy one of these Korean bars opened closer to Irvine! I've always had to drive to LA's ktown for these, but now I can actually Uber back to my own place. [ Service ] I only really saw 2 female servers running around and maybe someone else working in the kitchen. They were pretty on top of it..although they did forget one of our food orders. The server was really apologetic and even comped us a bottle of soju to help us kill time while we wait. I honestly didn't mind, since we were going to order more soju anyways! We came here for a birthday get together after work. Our group was seated promptly and served even quicker. At first, I was already impressed with the large portions. We were all able to share from one dish. We also ordered many drinks. While I think we gave our waitress a major headache. She served us really quick and didn't miss anything. Wow best Korean fried chicken ever!!!!! I usually love garlic fried chicken but after tasting the OB chicken.... Wow I'm never going back. The chicken pieces are BIG! And the OB chicken has a very unique seasoning that can have a kick to it if you keep eating a lot. It comes with Asian red peppers, jalepenos, and green onions sprinkled on it over a small bed of lettuce. It is not spicy per say but it has a tang to it. This place had really good reviews, so I was throughly disappointed when I visited. I went around 9pm one weeknight and had to wait 30 minutes for a table of two. There were tables available but definitely not enough wait staff. When we were finally seated, it took them a little bit to come by with just water. We finally were able to order and the food was mediocre. We got 3 items - kimchi fried rice, braised pork belly with bok choy, and OB garlic fries. The fried rice and bok choy dish were the better of the two dishes. On the other hand, the fries were over cooked and basically just had garlic salt poured all over it. At least toss the fries in fresh garlic or something. At the end of the day, do not order it. Not worth it at all. This restaurant is also pretty loud. The one good thing about this place is that it's open late. However, I probably would not come back and would rather stop by the Taco Bell down the street for a late night snack. read more

Really enjoyed our time here. Good food and friendly service. Its hard to believe but their Spicy Garlic Shrimp which is a Korean-Chinese dish referred to as "Kampongsaewoo" was really good! Can't believe another OB opened near me in the OC. I've been to the one in Diamond Bar fairly often so I knew what to expect. Surprisingly this location is much cleaner than the other one, and the quality of the food was also much better. Ordered the Thai spicy wings and garlic wings with kimchi fried rice to share for 2. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal! The chicken wings definitely did not disappoint--super crispy and flavorful. The servers were also nice enough to change the tv to the football game, per our request. This place is an absolute SLEEPER over a restaurant/bar. It's tucked away in a dining plaza next to a few other Asian restaurants, but I could care less about what's nearby. All that matters is OB Square. I'm almost hesitant to write this review and give away my secret treasure, but the world must know about this place. 1. I've never had to wait for a table. Maybe I've just gotten lucky all 3 times I've been here, but I've always been seated immediately for a party of 2-3. 2. The food SLAPS. My go-to dinner order follows: kimchi pancake (9/10, could be crispier but the flavor and chewiness is immaculate), bulgogi cheese fries (9.5/10, a little too much ketchup for my taste but the absurd amount of cheese and bulgogi makes up for it and more), and the spicy rice cakes with ramen and cheese (10/10, this is WHY I came to this restaurant to begin with. Its piping hot, perfect amount of spice, gooey cheese, amazing). I've gotten the fried chicken wings once and they were great. I don't have a lot of reference for them though, but they were well worth it. 3. Their dinner + beer combo is a great deal. After having their food and seeing what comes with the different combos, I can say it's well worth it. OB Square is my go-to late night outing spot. Best Korean dine in spot by my house. I come here for the seafood pancake, which is superb. The chicken wing is good, but not my favorite KFC. Restaurant has a nice ambiance to it.
