Easily my top 5 favorite bbq spots of all time! Only problem is it's located in New Jersey! Need to have one in NYC! Staff were super attentive and quick on service! All the banchan were top noch! Best marinated galbi I've ever had!!!

THIS PLACE IS FIREEEEE!!!!! I will genuinely go back tn if someone could go with me. The meat was quality, the banchan was fresh, the service fast. The ambiance Clean casual and busy!

    We liked this combo, too.

We came to this location to celebrate a birthday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the service is great, and the food was delicious! My personal favorites are the cheesy corn, the rice cakes, prime rib, and fried rice. We will be back for more!

Came here late at night craving gopchang and didn't want to go into the city, so this Fort Lee location was a convenient choice. We ordered the beef intestine combo with large intestine, small intestine, tripe, and rice cakes. The assortment was generous and easily enough for two people. The intestines were properly cleaned and grilled, with no off smells, and the tripe had a nice chew. Rice cakes were a good addition and grilled well. We also ordered the seafood pancake, which was surprisingly good--crispy on the outside and soft inside, not overly greasy. Overall, portions are large and satisfying, especially if you're specifically craving Korean-style beef intestines late at night. Prices are on the higher side, but that's expected for this type of restaurant. Solid option in Fort Lee.

This is truly a hidden gem. My experience with Korean BBQ started in Koreatown in midtown manhattan. For the past decade it's been a similar experience wherever I go UNTIL my visit to Obaltan. This was different in 2 aspects; 1) they offered shellfish, and 2) the cooking surface was a deep pan instead of the raised dome grill which I was used to. In fact at the end of the meal, they made a fried rice with the seasoned pan that was delicious! However, ALL of the food was delicious, and the service was friendly & attentive even though we were close to closing time. This is a MUST if you're in the area!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]](Plus on the weekends it seems that they do karaoke upstairs!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Def a place better for a group of 6, esp if you want to try live clam grills. The portion is just quite large. Overall very good besides a group of 4 we each had to eat 5 clams Spicy Stir Fried Pork & Vegetables - good but didn't know there's a lot of rice cake in the dish as well should have be indicated. Spicy Bai-Top Whelk With Vegetables & Chewy Noodles - it's a cold dish, very spicy good flavor. Make sure you sign up waitlist beforehand as the store is small.

Good spot for Kbbq in the Fort Lee area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not busy on a Saturday night, July 4th weekend, fresh ingredients, good service, (Owen is the bestest! - great attitude, attentive).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had the prime beef and seafood special. Definitely more than enough food for 3 people.

This is a kbbq restaurant that's extremely seafood oriented as well! We didn't wait too long for our reservation, which was during busy hour (7:00pm on a Saturday). We ordered the clam combo, which came with the seafood Casino on the side. Also, we got an army stew and corn cheese, both of which were very good compliments to the main course. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a good spot for couples, but it also is accommodating to larger parties as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We did a hike and were able to properly refuel after. Definitely recommend and I can't wait to try the meat combo next time.

Came here with some friends on a Thursday night and got a table for six no problem. It's my first time having seafood barbecue, and I am hooked the clams with butter garlic are super clean and delicious, everything was so good! The veggies are delicious too. I mean, focus was hanging out with friends but i definitely wanna go again to write a more detailed review

I had this place book marked and came after pickleball. Sadly I'm disappointed. Everything here is so sweet and I'm not sure why. My japchae was overly sweet the salad was super sweet and the bulgolgi soup was sweet. I think the only dish that was decent was the seafood soup and the kimchi fried rice. Service was mid. Water wasn't refilled and we had to ask for rice for our tofu soup.

You have to come here if you love seafood!! I loved the clams on the grill it was so different and fun!! They also have a solid beef and pork KBBQ menu selection as well and all of the delish sides. The service is amazing and they do such a great job here def check them out!!

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 7 Value: 6 Overall: 7 I'm craving some of these grilled clams right now. I know most people don't think of Korean food when it comes to seafood. However, this late night restaurant specializing in grilled seafood was the perfect place for me after a concert at Metlife Stadium a few weeks ago. The package we got had three tasty scallops with cheese for the grill and a delicious egg soufflé. It also came with three banchan, which is pretty minimal. However, the worst for me was the shrimps and mussels, which I really don't want. All I need are those juicy and briny clams to be satisfied. This is not a place I would come often, but a place I will come back to whenever I'm in the mood.

Staff were very friendly. Service was attentive and fast. Our Korean friend said their kimchi was one of the best she has had. No wonder the restaurant actually sells it in a jar. The broth was decent but not great; it leans more on the herbal side and isn't as spicy as other places. Oyster, Seaweed & Beef Soup (3/5): Packed with seaweed, but only came with about 5 oysters and very little beef. The broth had a strong, decent seafood flavor. Fried Spanish Squid (3/5): This wasn't on the menu, but I was excited they could make it since I'd seen photos from 7 months ago. However, it was baby squid rather than the body of the squid. First time for me, and hopefully not the last. Unfortunately, I live in DC but this will definitely be on the list of favorite restaurants to return to. FOOD: Holy Shabu-moly! The fish cake, veggie, noodle, dumpling, sauce selection was too much. Seriously, I mean that literally. Patrons are paralyzed by the paradox of choice. Fewer options would help me focus on the essentials and allow me more time eating than deciding. Lol. Honestly I wish I would have just focused on ordering the meats. SERVICE: We had a young waiter who was very attentive, professional, accommodating, and understanding. Also, an older gentleman who I can only imagine was a manager, stopped by to fill our water glasses and ensure we were happy with everything. She seemed to understand well how to cater to the restaurant patrons, taking into consideration that we were grieving a loss of a family member/friend. The food was excellent. The "banchan" side dishes were fresh and savory with continuous refills. They provided us with appetizer of the two types of "jeon"s - when was seafood and one was kimchi. I ordered the super sized "galbi tang" (갈비탕 - Short Rib Soup). I say "super sized" as it's quite larger in quantity than any I have ever had in any restaurant! . They had already pre-sorted the meat from the bones which usually are included in this particular dish. The amount of meat was incredibly abundant and absolutely savory and soft to chew. The meal was so big that I packed most of it to go and it sealed up almost to the top of a quart container! Other guests tried the "oohguhgi galbi tang" (Short Rib Cabbage Soup - 우거지 갈비탕) and "bibimbap" (Mixed Rice with root vegetables - 비빔밥) which looked delicious and ample in quantity as well. The restaurant is located off-shot from Lemoine Avenue In Fort Lee (soon after you cross Main Street) and turn into their driveway right before Charim Restaurant/Paris Baguette Cafe. Parking is plenty for free and the entrance has stairs and ramps for wheelchair/walkers. The bathroom is to your left as soon as you enter the restaurant. The ambiance is elegant and clean. Service is prompt and courteous (with exception to one younger waitress who was a bit curt and ignore requests but the older waitress I mentioned prior really saved the day! ). It's a small shop with few seatings and tables. It's street parking for the most part. Once inside i can tell that it was authentic Korean restaurant as there were other korean customers and all the signs and decorations were in Korean language. The owner came out and took our order We got a spicy octopus plate, soy marinated crabs, and scallion pancakes. They offer side dishes first which is a common practice in Korean restaurants. The side dishes were all flavorful and looked like home made pickled veggies and kimchis. Scallion pancakes had lots of seafood and was tasty. Spicy octopus plate was ok a stone plate and its got nice char and crispy rice at the bottom with spicy and sweet octopus. The soy marinated crabs were flavorful but was difficult and messy to eat because the you have to de shell the crab and doesn't have a lot of meat. The owner also gave us egg dish complimentary which was a nice gesture. It was kind of like an omelet. Service was good and owner was nice. Overall it seems like a good authentic Korean restaurant in the area. Was not too crazy about the soy marinated crabs but i'm sure it's of standard. I'm glad i got to try the dish though. Good place to go if you like soy marinated crabs.
