The storefront is almost hidden on the right side of the food hall and can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. There was no wait, and I was able to order right away. They gave me a beeper, and I was able to find a nearby table without any trouble. I ordered the Fish N Chips, which was a generous portion. It came with two large pieces of fish that were nicely fried. The batter wasn't too thick, and the fish itself was tender rather than overly flaky or hard. The texture and overall quality were good, but it was a bit lacking in flavor, even with malt vinegar and tartar sauce. The steak fries were crispy and not overly salty, which I enjoyed. Overall, the meal was average. With limited fish and chip options nearby, it's still a decent choice if you're in the area and craving it.

We don't really have fish fry spots in Irvine besides California fish grill or OC fish grill(they pissed me off the first last visit so that's a different story.) Anyway, I love to support mom and pop over corporate eats any day. The service is good and the menu is straight forward. Great portions and super fresh eats. I honestly don't have any complaints. I'm not an English fried fish connoisseur so I can't compare but this meal hits and its solid! I'll definitely be back and please support your local small business:)

I came across the Terrace, located near the university, which featured a lovely patio and scenic views overlooking the golf course. When we arrived around two in the afternoon, the restaurant was nearly empty. The interior was stylish, but I preferred sitting outside to enjoy the view. A large group of golfers was having lunch nearby. Since it wasn't crowded, our server easily arranged a table for seven. One downside was a man who continued to smoke on the patio despite being told it wasn't allowed, though fortunately, he didn't smoke the entire time. My man and I shared a Mexican Mango Mule, which was especially refreshing after the lengthy ceremony. We sampled several dishes--calamari, chicken wings and fries, beef tacos, and chicken tacos--in order of preference, from most favorite to least (though none were bad, just varying in appeal). The kids enjoyed a bowl of Bolognese and seemed satisfied. To top it off, the staff surprised me with a complimentary brownie and ice cream to celebrate my graduation. The service was excellent, the venue was perfect for lunch, and the food was delicious!

Inside is spacious. Loved the Aqua colored glass chandelier. They have a great cocktail menu! I wish I had time to enjoy a drink because they looked good when I saw a waiter delivering drinks to other tables. Our server, Abbie, was gracious and friendly. She was attentive to us and to all her other tables. Never skipped a beat on what part of the meal her customers were at (ordering, mid-meal, refills, dessert, paying, etc.) We ordered: A bowl of clam chowder - creamy and flavorful. Good amount of clams. A side salad - my hubby and I couldn't agree on dressing so Abbie brought both for us on the side. 3-piece fish and chips - crispy fish batter, not too thick. It's mahi-mahi so it's meatier than the typical cod. Fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Doused all of this goodness with their malt vinegar. We recommended this place to the other water polo families. Hopefully they stopped by too. I will definitely return! Thank you.

The food is consistently delicious -- from the perfectly grilled salmon to the crispy shrimp tacos -- and the sides are honestly some of the best you'll find at a fast‑casual place. She was patient, helpful with recommendations, and made sure everything came out just right. It's rare to find someone who genuinely elevates the whole vibe of a restaurant, but she absolutely does. If you're craving fresh seafood with great service, California Fish Grill is always a solid choice -- and if you're lucky enough to have Yani take care of you, even better.

I do however appreciate that I was able to satisfy my Pepsi craving :) When I walked in, I was promptly greeted and told my food was ready towards the back. I used the restroom and came out to grab my food, lesson learned let them grab your stuff. Pacific Catch did not disappoint!…read more We landed one of the coveted outdoor dining tables for lunch, and the whole afternoon had the perfect Aloha Friday vibe. We started with a pitcher of Mai Tais, which were definitely a little boozy in the best way -- and somehow lasted the entire length of our casual two-hour lunch. Our server, Erin, was extraordinary. Friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. My table guest and I split everything, which was the perfect call. The guaca-poke was so yummy and a great start. Then we shared the two-taco platter with sea bass and steak, plus a side house salad. Full flavor, fresh, and the perfect size to split without feeling too heavy. And because we clearly make excellent lunch decisions, we finished with a one of a kind dulce leche spring roll . Worth it. Will I come back? Yup. Pacific Catch continues to be a solid go-to.

Totally agree with Gene H's review on the recent menu changes. I am a regular here and called it my…read morehappy place, but the recent menu changes have me looking for another happy place. Like Gene, the serrano ahi poke bowl with wontons was the "go to" for every visit. Another fan favorite was the guac-poke with wontons. Well, wontons were removed from the menu altogether, and the serving size of the ahi is half of what it used to be. Not sure if this was a local decision or corporate decision, but it was a bad one! Second faux pas on the new menu is the removal of black beans with the taco plate. Now your options are fries or a salad. Who orders fries or salad with tacos? Black beans are so cheap. Even if you charge $1 for them, you're making money. Doesn't make sense to remove them. Oh, and the 3 taco plate is no longer an option. You can only get 2 tacos now. Third questionable decision ... eliminating the miso salad. The bartender told me that the house salad on the menu is the same as the miso salad. They mean the same thing. When the runner delivered what I thought was the miso salad, it looked different. So I asked her if this was the miso salad. She said no, that is no longer on the menu. So .... ya. Another big change for me was the removal of my favorite wine, the chenin blanc. The other whites are subpar IMO and not worth the drive over there ... especially with all these really poor menu changes. So now you know why I'm looking for a new happy place. If you know of any open air, fresh fish places, please DM me. Thanks! P.S. I went back and forth between giving 2 stars and 3 stars. The employees here are really exceptional. And I didn't think it was fair to give the whole restaurant 2 stars because their culinary executive is absolutely clueless.

There was one all gender washroom which was not immaculate but was satisfactory. I was glad to see that paper towels were available. I have a bone to pick about the personal appearance of the employees at this establishment. I saw that the guys working at this establishment failed to tuck their shirts in. I consider that to be highly unprofessional so I am deducting one point as this is something I am OCD about. I was glad to see Pepsi was available though I didn't have any this visit and I was happy to learn that refills are free. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would get a solid B.
