If you're looking for stress, a headache, and misleading information, this is the place. My 12 younger cousins and I pooled money to rent a van for a Christmas trip. Within the first few hours of the rental--and after driving fewer than 10 miles--the van developed issues. The roof was leaking (napkins had already been stuffed into the area), and a tire pressure warning appeared. I called the company immediately to ask how to proceed. I was instructed to take the van to Pep Boys for a tire repair and was explicitly told that I would be reimbursed upon returning the receipt. I asked for these instructions to be sent to me via email, but no email was ever sent. When I returned the van, I was told the repair would not be reimbursed. I was also given a name that later turned out not to correspond to any employee and was told to wait for a callback that never resolved the issue. The employee who accepted the vehicle claimed the van had no leak despite the napkins present and stated the tires were "brand new." Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter in person, by phone, and through email, the company has chosen to deny the authorization that was given and refuse reimbursement. If you read the lower or filtered reviews, you'll find similar experiences reported by other customers. I regret choosing this company and would not rent from them again. read more

We rented the 15 passenger Ford Sprinter van. The online reservation process was very easy. Price was reasonable Pick up was easy; however once we were shown the van, that's when 5 stars went down to 2 stars. The van was not cleaned. It had not been washed and was extremely dusty/dirty. We asked them if they could wash the van but they said it was washed and it was just dirty with pollen from trees. That was a lie. When renting any vehicle, a customer expects it to look nice and clean upon picking up, especially when it is going to be used for an event. Secondly there was tape attached to all the light and tv fixtures inside. We asked if the van had been cleaned and they said yes, but the tape was left from streamers. Clearly it was not cleaned because that was the first thing we noticed once the van door opened. They did take the tape down before we left with the van. Also the driver's seat area and front area was not wiped down. And lastly the inside smelled like wet rag. It would have been great if an air fresher was put in the van to mask that little smell. Besides those issues, the van did run well and was able to hold the amount of passengers we needed. Our only suggestion would be to take more pride in cleaning the inside and outside better when renting to customers. Presentation is key and had the van been cleaned and smelled good, we would have definitely given 5 stars with an excellent review. read more

OC Van Rental provided a premium car at a great value. Their staff is curious and professional. They will pick you up at the the SNA airport in your vehicle, and if you have provided your information in advance, get you in and out of their office in just a few minutes. Though it was a last minute option, their prices for a model year BMW 4ltr. 5-series were less expensive than most major companies mid-size (and there was no availability at that airport for those brands). Would have given 5 stars but.... Rented a sprinter van here and their price was great. Can was reliable and the family was comfortable during our trip. However when we returned the van and did the walkthrough with them they said we are good to go. 4 days later we were charged $25 for gas. I called them 4 times and told them we filled up the van before drop off and why were we charged. Every time we were told someone will call us and they never did. I posted a 2 stars before and Yelp took my review down. Now, I am reposting and giving it 1 star. Again, here are my complaints. Van was not really clean. I saw an open can soda inside and that probably attracted the ants. Ants were biting some of the kids. The freakin rearview camera did not work!!!! This is a 12 passengers Van! Please put the car in reverse and check to make sure the rearview camera works! Management supposed to get back to me but never did. Only bright outcome was checkin and checkout was smooth. Not Satisfied! The brakes on the Mercedes van were mushy and squeaking. The staff tried every way possible to jack up our fees. I had called them well ahead of time, before the trip, to reduce the reservation to 4 days. They said no problem and DID NOT DO IT! Coming home, we had terrible traffic and called in to ask for consideration ...they said no problem and yet, they charged us anyway. You cannot trust the staff to coordinate with the manager! They provided me with a vehicle that seats 8 for less than $200.00. I booked the one day insurance coverage as well which took it up another $60 but worth it. I rented a Mercedes sprinter 12 passenger van. I was not happy with the vehicle at all. List of complaints for this vehicle are: GPS was broken had to use printout of maps and the lights inside cabin would not turn on to view our map, the air conditioner was leaking and did not work properly. I became physically sick from the heat. Also the passenger door was very difficult to open. This was a tremendous inconvenience during our whole trip.  My husband called right away within the first hour and was nonchalantly dismissed by your customer service representative. read more

We rented a van from this company for the Rose bowl. My husband went to pick it up! As we packed it we found vomit on the seats and dirty diapers inside! They didn't clean this van!! When My husband returned the van they said good bye we will return your deposit we are good! To date they have not returned our 200 deposit and in fact they charged us an additional 175.00 and refuse to give a reason!! My husband went back there in person a few days ago to ask what is going on? The kid behind the counter acted stupid said his boss did it and he will call him. To date he has not called us! We are going to file a police report for credit card fraud and dispute the charges on our credit card! Do not rent a van from these crooks! Worst experience I've ever had with a business!! I tried renting a van for travel but the staff here are absolutely horrible. They couldn't get me an accurate estimate and kept changing their rates. At one point they'd tell me their rate was based off mileage and the next they'd say it's based on destination and claimed I never told them about the exact destinations when I did in fact tell them multiple times. It's not of my fault if your staff lies and can't keep their facts straight. The so called Manager (if that's even who he claimed he was) was ridiculously rude and intolerable. At one point I even asked to please talk with someone else as he was making me feel so uncomfortable. He has a lot of issues and should not be working for anyone. Rent from a more reputable company and save yourself the hassle and pain from dealing with these people. They can ruin your day! Its not worth it and as others reviews mention it's more than likely they'll give you trouble after the fact if you do rent from them. read more

I had 12 passenger luxury van, It was nothing luxury about it. I requested to pick up the van at the Long Beach airport. They parked the van at a paid parking lot which I had to pay to exit. The check engine light was on they told me it was just because it's due for oil change. The DVD player sound was horrible. The van was dirty inside and outside. On the day of my return I was harassed by the company to return the van in an hour early because they had another reservation. I will never rent from this company again and I would not recommend. read more

When challenged to honor confirmed price they rudely stated that in the small print, it notes 1 day rentals are subject to approval vs. the meaning of a confirmed reservation. Do NOT use this company for rental, whatever you do. Bait and Switch is correct. They are so unprofessional to work with. I ordered a 15 passenger van with Extra Cargo space, as we were an 11-person party traveling with a fair bit of luggage, and we did not want to be crammed in. It was confirmed that I had a 15-passenger van, for which I was charged. FYI, I had to point out that the contract they emailed me had the wrong payment information, as the original rental price of $1000 was changed to $4000. Watch every single, tiny detail with these people. They called me the morning of our travel, while I was at the airport, asking would I mind switching to a 12-passenger van, due to the fact that we only had 11 people. I said no, I wanted the larger van for our suitcases. She (Elena) stated that the 12 passenger van had extra cargo space. I said I was only ok changing if there was ample luggage space. She assured me there would be plenty of room. Surprise! There was barely enough room for our luggage, and that was with it crammed under the seats and in front of children's legs, which made for a not so comfortable ride. When I called asking if they had processed a refund for the difference owing to the fact that they switched our reservation last minute, they stated that it was my choice (as if I called and asked, vs. practically being begged over the phone) and therefore there would be no refund in the difference in price. These are unscrupulous business people, and have no right to do this type of business, as I truly believe they will do anything to screw people over. read more

I reserved a 12 passenger van for 24 hours to enjoy post Christmas activities with my family of 10 so we wouldn't have to take 2 cars everywhere. My reservation was confirmed 3 days prior to pick up. I called before going to pick up the van and was told my reservation was canceled 6 hours prior to the scheduled pick up! I got no phone call just an email I found after being told it was canceled by the company, this is what the email said: We apologize, we are sold out. I was optimistic because their customer service was good to start and even through the check-out process however when there were mechanical issues with the van as the front wheels were shimmying and making odd sounds that I noticed that evening on the way home. I called them the next morning because they were now closed for the evening. When I called the next morning their response was that "we spoke with the mechanic and they just replaced the brakes and it needs time to adjust and that it was typical and not a safety issue." Well 3 days of anti lock brakes adjusting and shimmying the front of the van was quite unnerving for me and disturbing to my wife and her 4 besties as they didn't fully understand what was happing to the van. I did call and ask the OC Van people about getting a replacement van up in their LA office, as I was already in Van Nuys after the time it took to have multiple conversations with them about the issues, but they said I had to go back to Orange County and they'd swap it out. No, "I'll come meet you." No "I'm sorry." No "take it to a shop and see what it is." Nothing except hiding behind "well we said you could come back, an hours return drive, and return it for another van" type of weak response. Long story short, they are blaming me for the situation I created because they said I could turn around and bring it back. ..... after travelling 60 miles, and their mechanic saying it was fine and needed to adjust and that it wasn't a safety issue. They are not even willing or attempting to make any adjustment in the fee that was paid for an operationally unsafe van. Their mechanic is a crook. The management is also in the same boat. Their desk service is OK but once they charge the card that faded very quickly. ...and then they seem to fall into the same low life mode as the mechanic and the management as they try to BS their explanation of why I'm at fault and they have no responsibility, or remorse, for the unsafe condition they created. I think the "great service" and "great experience" reviews are bought as well. Additionally, I was even asked by the customer service staff, during my phone call, not to bash or name names, so I didn't. ....... but thank you Rosa and Raquel for those wonderful reviews. I'm sure they did a great job for you and your "birthday parties" . ;-) I certainly would never rent from them again. I wouldn't do it if I were you!! It may be your last rental. read more
