I really hate writing bad reviews, and only do so when I get "mulitple" bad experiences from the business. Simply, place went to complete crap after the manager (Michael) left. 1) Service quality is horrible, 2) muliple mistakes on mulitple take-out order over the past couple months. 3) Food quality went down BIG TIME (whoever runs this place no either has absolute no experience in food quality, doesn't care, or the kitchen has no respect for em and doesn't listen). Example, mulitple times we couldn't eat the crawfish/shrimp because it was bad. Clam chowder inconsistant, times un-eatable, soggy fries for DINE IN (not fair to complain about soggy fries for togo). I could go on, but that's just a few examples. 4) Staff has no connection with the customer. I have no idea what happened, however it is obvous whoever owns this restaruant made a BIG mistake! I notice business has been down big time, perhaps the owner will become HUMBLED and come down to earth. It sucks when owners THINK they know what they are doing when they are THE PROBLEM. My advice to the owner, look in the mirror and reconize that YOU crashed the business. If your thinking of changing the concept, you will have the same issue because YOU are the problem. Also, there is a funky smell towards the area to the bathroom, i am not sure where is it coming from because it is close to their kitchen as well- the stench is not pleasing more on suffocating scent. Fyi, we're very hungry when we went there, i thought we will ravage everything we ordered but we did not. Yesterday 3/4/22 was my bday so I decided to try this place out and baybeee when I say from the moment I walked in I knew it was going to be fire just from the smells. I ordered crab, shrimp, corn, and potatoes oh and we added beef hot links. We also added garlic noodles and got the fried lobster with shrimp and fries. Everything was sooo good it was like a party in my mouth lol we got it mixed with everything and the hottest sauce and I was the happiest person ever lol. I don't know the guy name who took my order but he was soo cool. I told him it was my bday and he surprised me with cheesecake and sung happy birthday to me. My son chose his birthday dinner at Ocean 9 Crab. This place is definitely a great place to take your family to. The food is family style (they also have individual dishes) and it's flavorful and large portions. We had the Combo 2 and it fed four adults with left overs. It had 2 lbs of shrimp and a whole crab with a flavorful Cajun sauce. The garlic noodles were hearty and tasted great. My niece had the fish and chips and they were good as well. Now for the service. The service was great! The main waiter was very funny and friendly. He brought my son a piece of cake with a candle and spelled his name out in candy toppings. We didn't even know he was going to do that, so it was a great surprise! He then gave 2 little Pokémon toys to my son and his girlfriend as a kind gesture. The assistant to the server who was cooking, bussing tables, and running food was also very friendly and asked us if we needed anything multiple times. We were craving "Boiling Crab" but didn't want to make a far drive so Yelp brought us here! This definitely satisfied the craving, without the hour long wait - in fact, we were able to walk right in and came right before the Friday dinner rush (around 7pm). The staff is super friendly and engaging... the service was fast and thorough... and the food was delicious! We got shrimp with a mixture of all three sauces (I believe they refer to it as the "ocean shabang?" But I could be off), rice, corn and garlic Cajun fries! The shrimp sauce had what tasted like a hint of bbq sauce, so it was a little smokier than other Boiling Crab dupes, but still super tasty! I've been curious about this restaurant for a while now, mainly because of the coupon flyers they have with the other Valupak coupons. My other half and I went there around 11:40 am (they opened at 11:30). We were told to sit where we like to by a young man behind the counter. We sat in a booth and chit-chatted while waiting for a server. The young man behind the counter brought menus to us and took our drink order. As we waited for our server to come back we saw other customers begin to trickle in which is good for the business. Our server came back with our drinks and we ordered our lunch which was the Combo Bucket #2 (We chose 2 lbs. of shrimp with head on and a whole crab with the garlic butter sauce without being spicy). After a little while our food arrived. Once we put on our bibs and our plastic gloves, we opened up the plastic bag that contained our lunch. Along with the shrimp and crab, our meal included, "...-4pcs sausages -2corns -2potatoes." The food overall was pretty good. The shrimp and crab tasted and looked really fresh. The service was good too. Multiple employees checked on us. Overall a good experience and would recommend this restaurant. The only reason why I took off a star in my review was because the shrimp was overcooked a little bit; the "-4pcs sausages" we're actually 4 slices of sausage; and non-food related, but still important, were the gloves that we were given to use while eating were so thin that after I removed them after the meal my hands had a clear, oily film on them. read more

Great little hole in the wall. My fiance found this place passing by one day. We decided to try it this weekend. I got the seafood boil in a bag. A whole lobster and shrimp head off and potatoes with corn. The price was amazing not over priced. The seasoning was to perfection. Service was quick and efficient. I ordered the poor boy fish sandwich, which came with the thinnest piece of fish, very little lettuce, and tomato even after I requested extra of everything. Perhaps other items on the menu are better, but their fish is awful. I also ordered the fish combo, which was also terrible. All the fish was hard and overcooked. The fries were the best thing, but that's not saying much. My friend recommended this spot while I was visiting Antioch. What a huge disappointment.
