    Oysters on the 1/2 shell
    Vani V.

We visited this place for a second time this past week and found it so-so this time around. I personally enjoy raw oysters and we've visited this place before and liked them so wanted to come back to try out the food. We were seated and greeted right away, but our server seemed visibly annoyed. We picked up on the vibe and decided to just keep things as easy as possible. We ordered a half dozen oysters and they were great. Love the mini Tabasco bottles they bring to the table with them. For dinner, I ordered the pasta and my bf ordered the fish and chips. I found the pasta to be bland, lacking flavor and salt. The shrimp was a tad overcooked as well, so wasn't impressed. He found the fish okay, but did say the fries were good. At least now we have an idea of what type of vibe to go here for us now. The restaurant is really cool and the atmosphere is so vibrant, but for us the food and the noise level makes dinner not our thing. Service was great our first go, but I think she was having a rough night this time, nothing worth not going back for. Drinks and oysters only going forward though!

Incredible service and the most delicious seafood i've had in years! lima and payton were so attentive and went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Very attentive and careful with food allergies as well. Gorgeous restaurant inside and outside.

Our 1st time visit for an early dinner on a Saturday impressed this crustacean lover. After chatting about the restaurant's raw-bar offerings with our great server Ms. P., any doubts I had had about partaking in the consumption of raw oysters south of the Mason-Dixon line melted away after sucking down a few of O&A's treasures sourced from the great state of Virginia. Smallish but with deep cups, these little gems went well with the night's special cocktail: a Ford's Gin martini. We moved on to a very nice starter: Burrata, heirloom tomatoes & fresh strawberries, perfect for two to share along with a fresh tasting & well balanced tuna tartare, again enough for two to share. Our Caesar salad was perfectly dressed & paired well with our dinner entree of fish & chips made with Cod. The fry on the fish was great - no grease & the cod itself was very good but we found the batter encompassing the fish too thick, devoid of seasoning & actually a little tough. Tip: batter made with beer or ale will change everything for the better- thanks to the carbonation. Those unfamiliar with the mixed use space in the Halcyon complex will find that this restaurant has one of the nicest patios for outside dining. Inside dining is a mix of booths & tables. High ceilings, shiplap paneling & the openness of the dining room is nice but not so sure how the interior lighting would be in the evening hours if dining in.

I came here to celebrate Father's Day with my husband and family. I loved the decor of the place it really gave me an ocean/beach type of feeling. We started off with the hushpuppies and chargrilled oysters. Those were delicious. The hushpuppies were very fresh and hot. The oysters were very tasty. Although you can get more oysters added on they only serve them in a count of 5. I truly feel if a restaurant is serving oysters they should serve them in a half a dozen or in a dozen size. For our entrees my husband ordered the trout and had it blackened with broccolini and mashed potatoes. He said he did enjoy his dish and the next time he tried it he would like to try it grilled. We also ordered a wedge salad in addition to our meals to share. The portions are generous; one wedge salad was plenty for two to share. I ordered the lobster roll with fries and was very pleased with my plate. The roll has a good amount of lobster with the bread being so soft to bite into. We ordered the crème brûlée and I have to say I liked the dish it was served in because it was deep but I would skip this dessert next time. We felt the sugar was overly charred which left a lasting burnt aftertaste. Our server was very attentive and nice and we enjoyed his service. I would definitely come back here to have their lobster roll and oysters again.

Recently dined at Ocean & Acre, and the overall experience was truly pleasant. Located inside Halcyon Plaza, the restaurant offers convenient parking with both deck and outdoor options, making arrival seamless. The star of the meal was hands down the Bouillabaisse Pasta--a seafood lover's dream. Made with lobster, shrimp, and mussels, tossed in fettuccine and coated in a rich saffron-tomato broth, it was flavorful, comforting, and beautifully balanced. To complement the dish, I paired it with the Bermuda Berry, a refreshing blend of water, lemon, strawberry, blackberry, and raspberry purées, sweetened with honey and finished with fresh mint. Light, vibrant, and the perfect pairing. The ambiance was equally impressive--stylish yet welcoming, making it ideal for group dinners, solo outings, or special occasions. Service was attentive and seamless, with great communication and smooth meal handoffs throughout the evening.

Upon walking in I was informed of a 15 minute wait however I saw lots of tables. After seeing several others being seated, I went back and asked about my wait to which I was informed my table was now ready. I was sat very closely between two other parties. I asked to move to another table near the back and was told due to the wait rotation he wasn't sure if I could have the table but he would check. The other area I asked about was for reservations. I was able to get the table near the back after going to ask if that was ok. Immediately greeted by the waitress and another who was in training. I ordered a passion fruit mojito and my cousin a strawberry mojito. We had a clear feeling of the bar. She saw two passion fruit mojitos but once the waitress went to grab it she mentioned one was strawberry. Instead of remaking it the bar tender poured strawberry on top. Both mojitos were extremely sweet but good. The mussels were tasty but small. We were offered more bread to go with the broth but was not aware it was being offered at a cost which wasn't high but the offer did not seem like an additional item. The crab cake was amazing. The redfish was very tasty also. The best part was my cousin lobster roll! All of the food is extremely fresh!

On a wednesday at 6, they appeared short handed but never missed a beat. The service was great, the atmosphere was vibrant and lively but not too loud. Our waitress Alex and here counterparts did a fabulous job and is what earned them the 5th star. We started with beer, wine and a shrimp cocktail, the shrimp tasted fresh and tasty. We both had the seared maine scallops entree. Wow, very tasty and filling. It is hard to get scallops just right, they got it right, awesome entree. This was a great first night back in the Atlanta area. Word to the wise, metered parking now, the signage is not so great. There is a scam amd pay but not easily seen. I Only got a warning, maybe this is new?

Pecan crusted trout with mashed potato's & green beans

Seated for reservation promptly. Waitress was very attentive & made some suggestions for ordering. The chargrilled oysters were a delicious appetizer - but only received 5 (vs expected half dozen) - dropped one, maybe? The shrimp & grits were outstanding - smooth, buttery grits with large shrimp & sausage. Description mentions a BBQ broth - but was not (thankfully). Probs need to scratch that off the description as we almost did not order it bc of that. And WHY oh WHY does every restaurant leave the tails on. Makes it so difficult to eat. The pecan encrusted trout special with creamy mashed potatoes & green beans was very tasty and seasoned well. Portion sizes were perfect. This was our 1st visit to Ocean & Acre & we will definitely be returning. Outside patio looked very inviting with the fireplace roaring & heaters plentiful to keep guests warm.

Enjoyed an amazing lunch on the patio thanks to Pawta and the crew there. We celebrated hubby's birthday. Started with great chargrilled oysters.. enjoyed a lobster roll and tuna tartare and of course amazing chocolate cake.

We sat outside and it was absolutely beautiful! We ordered the oysters, hush puppies, and a caesar salad. All of those were delicious! My main entree was the trout and it was just okay. The fried platter was really good, def would recommend trying that! Overall great first experience.

Ocean & Acre is our family's favorite restaurant! We are regulars and love everything from the ambience to the food and staff. Our favorite apps are the hush puppies and calamari and their new brunch menu is so fun with live music. Our family has a food allergy and their Executive Chef, Juan, is so wonderful and always makes sure everything is safe. Five stars always the best experience- thank you O&A!

Amazingly we were able to be seated right away outdoor at the patio. Our server came right away to get our drinks and gave us time to review the menu. Ambiance is definitely Food wise, our top to bottom rank is: - ahi tuna - grilled steak - grilled octopus (sauce is the BOMB ) - ceviche - Mac & cheese (need more umami/salt). We paired ours with octopus and steak - otherwise it is bland.

Maybe we were just extra hungry, but everything seemed to taste better than on my previous visits. Between the two locations, I definitely prefer this one. The décor feels more festive, and the atmosphere is lively. They have live music starting early in the evening and continuing until around 2 AM on weekends, making it a great place to celebrate, socialize, or enjoy a fun night out. Just know that it gets very loud, so if you're looking for a quiet, intimate dinner, this probably isn't the place. We've celebrated three or four birthdays here over the years, but this time we hosted a much larger party of about 50 people. Since it was such a big group, we had to reserve a preset menu with a deposit. It included unlimited food and drinks, and we were able to choose from several entrées while ordering as much as we wanted throughout the evening. The biggest downside was the wait. After being seated, it took about 45 minutes to an hour before the first dishes arrived. By then, a lot of us were definitely getting hangry. Thankfully, once the food started coming out, it kept flowing, and with the drinks constantly coming, everyone filled up pretty quickly. As for the food, this visit was definitely an improvement. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, only needing a tiny pinch more of salt. The Brussels sprouts were excellent, and the calamari paired perfectly with the pico de gallo dipping sauce. The steak, however, was a little overcooked and chewy for my liking. The paella was just okay; the rice was cooked well, but the seasoning didn't quite hit the mark, and the mussels were unfortunately overcooked and dry. One thing to keep in mind is that there aren't any private event rooms. Everything takes place in the main dining area, so your party shares the space with everyone else while enjoying the live music. There's also a large outdoor patio, and sometimes they open the garage doors to blend the indoor and outdoor atmosphere, which is really nice. They didn't do that during our visit, though. Despite the lack of dedicated dancing space, we still had an amazing time. The restaurant was lively enough that our energetic group blended right in; we even got a train going through the restaurant! Overall, it was a fun celebration with great energy, good food, and an entertaining atmosphere. I'm really hoping the new Medley development near my house brings in a restaurant with this same kind of vibe. I'd definitely be a regular.

We ordered the deviled eggs appetizer, my husband ordered the crab cakes, and I ordered the lettuce wraps app as my main. The crab cakes were really good (I had a bite or two), and the buns were unexpected but delicious! The lettuce wraps were also very good, but honestly not what I thought a lettuce wrap would be. I've seen other pictures of them that were much more traditional finger food for brunch, so not sure if they changed them entirely or if this is just dinner version. Tasty, but obviously not for picking up... it would be tricky to wrap them up in that tiny piece of lettuce and I did not want to get dripped on with the sauce. So, if knife and fork lettuce wraps were a thing - this would be it! I think the bib lettuce makes it hard as it's so frail and flimsy, so if I had any suggestions, maybe it would be to try wrapping them from a head of lettuce for a bigger, more firm piece of lettuce. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake. Nice finish to a richly flavored dinner. My husband asked for an espresso and it came in a huge mug. Not sure if this is standard, or if they ran out of demitasse cups. Service was more attentive on front end, but less as they got busy and our server got more tables. I asked another server for water refill and then a manager brought us a dessert menu since our server disappeared. He showed up with the check and we had to tell him we wanted dessert. We made reservation through open table and got seated immediately. When we left, the little lobby area was packed so we definitely went at the right time. I think the servers were getting a little overwhelmed (and I cannot blame them). Still a great view and worth the hassle of finding parking in downtown Alpharetta.

It was warm outside and warm = rooftop bar. It was the start of a great night. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located in downtown Alpharetta on South Main Street. The restaurant sits on the fifth floor of an office building. There is no parking directly by the building, however there is free street parking as well as a deck that is free and is a few minutes walk. If you can, I would recommend taking the walk so you're able to see all of the other shops and restaurants and enjoy the live music that's sure to be playing. Venue and Atmosphere When you walk in you're automatically greeted by the hostess. If you are going on a weekend I absolutely would recommend having a reservation, especially if you want to sit outside. We did not, so it was essentially every woman for themselves. In addition to the tables, there were some couches that were first come first served. We lucked up and a woman was leaving and gave us her table. Food and drinks Since this was our first stop we didn't want to fill up too much. We ordered the charcuterie board, which served as a good snack. I ordered their old fashioned made with Knob Creek, my wife had a cider, and our friend has one of their IPA's. Service Service was decent, considering there was a lot going on. With my friend's IPA they were changing the keg and it actually took a while for that to happen, but our server gave my friend another drink at no charge to make up for that fact, which was a nice touch. Verdict I'm not in Alpharetta much, but the next time I am, I'll definitely stop through for a drink and the view. If you're in the area stop on in! Until next time!

You'll come in and immediately be greeted by the bar. If you want to drink, this is your first chance to do so. The bar actually has a nice selection so you can probably find what they're looking for, so that's good ! You'll walk back and go to the showing area and there are all sorts of tables there that you sit at. The reason that there are tables there is that you can actually order food during the show as well. They have a waitstaff that will come around and take care of you. Our waitress was really good and she took care of everybody. I have no complaints about that. I tried the Caesar wrap and some French fries just because I wanted something to snack on and it was pretty good. Nothing to write home about but it was still pretty good . The show itself can vary depending on what you're doing or who you're seeing but the comedians we saw were top-tier for the most part. I had no complaints about that and they tore the house down . If you are walking into the showing area, you'll see promotions on the wall about who's going to be coming next. You can definitely check that out and see who all is going to be next on your list of people to see . Overall it was a really good experience and they had really good customer service. The show was hilarious. All in all it was a worthy trip out to Alpharetta and I would definitely consider doing it again .
