This was my first visit to Ocean day spa. I took my friend for her birthday for a massage. Beth was our massage person. She was excellent! We both give her high praises . Wonderful experience she made sure we were comfortable and relaxed. I have spinal stenosis she ensured I could handle the level of pressure during the massage. Beth has strong gentle hands and worked all my knotts out of my body. Beth massaged the CBD oil into my back which did lower my pain levels. I set out to find a nice spa to treat myself with a massage/facial this weekend, and Ocean Day Spa hit a grand slam out of the park. It is overwhelming all the spa and massage choices out there, and I knew I wanted something next level from a typical massage, so when I saw that ODS offered a Chakra meditation massage my choice became clear. I booked that plus an extra 25 minutes for massage for good measure. The Chakra massage is part meditation part massage and my goodness it was such a relaxing way to transcend into a blissful state that I am still experiencing hours later. Kadija's healing touch and guidance throughout the service takes it next level. I'd say if you don't already have a meditation practice or are not familiar with the chakra system it might be different, but going in with an open mind and willingness to get into it is beyond rewarding. Next, I saw Sandra for a signature facial. She is not only a knowledgeable esthetician, she has such a healing touch and is so kind! Even the little bit of extractions were easy. In a magazine I was thumbing through an article which mentioned it was Spa Week. It said to take advantage on Spa services at discounted prices. I went to SpaWeek.com and they had a list of spa's that were participating. I found this spa, saw the location was convenient and upon visiting their website, I decided to give it a try. I actually had the owner as my masseuse and told her my problem areas. She was terrific. I woke myself a couple of times from snoring, in a 60 minute massage! Normally I don't sleep quickly or at all in a 60 min. massage, but I think I was out in 10 min. from the start! The staff is very friendly, the spa is quaint, and has a serene, calming decor. The aroma of the oils instantly calmed me as I walked in the door. I had a room on the right hand side of the building, which is the opposite side of the Wine store next door (see previous Yelper's review), but I did hear muffled conversation from next door. Kerry had music playing, but you still could hear next door. I always carry earplugs or MP3 player when knowing I'm going to get a massage, so that if noise is ever a problem, I have a solution. I thought my $50 massage deal (reg: $80-$85) was great. I would return, but not on a regular basis, only because of the cost. read more

I had a massage today with Kate. It was excellent. She tailored the massage to my specific needs. It included cranial sacral, reflexology, and cupping. I did the 90 minute massage and it was well worth it. I feel a world better than when I first walked in with stress neck pain and headaches. I had a me day and was pampered with a massage, foot treatment and facial. There is plenty of parking, the facility is clean and the staff very friendly. My massage and foot treatment was with Sammy. Very communicative to tailor the massage to my needs and comfort, asking if the pressure was ok and if there was anything I needed, which I appreciate.. My esthetician was Kate. Super friendly, and very informative throughout the process providing very useful information to help me understand how to better take care of my skin. When my treatments sadly came to an end and it was time to leave, there was no pushing of sales on me which gave me the opportunity to look at their products without feeling any pressure to buy something. This little place is tucked away amongst many other businesses, and can be a little difficult to find if you're not paying attention. However, that's my only complaint. The staff was welcoming, the spa was clean and inviting, and my massage was excellent. I was given a gift card as a Mommy-to-be gift & was so excited to use it after my little one came. I was welcomed and escorted to a quiet, low-light room, which was decorated more like a cozy hotel room. There were decorative bed coverings and framed paintings on the walls. It felt much more inviting than some of the more clinical type places I've been. The masseur made sure I was comfortable (heated bed, ahhhh), made sure the aromatherapy scent wasn't too strong, and made sure the pressure she used was right. After that, she let me relax without any unnecessary conversation. I really enjoyed the hot rocks as well. I was sad when the massage was done, and then I was treated to some warm dandelion tea. Virginia made my skin feel like it was 20 years younger, and then instructed me on how to help keep it that way. They amount they doted on me was quite surprising, and welcome (pretty sure most men aren't accustomed to being doted upon). Her demeanor is friendly yet professional and She has a sort of zen like aura about her that immediately relaxes you. Her skills are unparalleled. Unfortunately, my massage experience with Cherry was not great. In fact it was a very negative experience (asking several times for her to change pressure and do longer more relaxing strokes and finally having to get quite irritated and almost walked out). However, the overall Experience improved when the owner called me several hours after, apologizing for the bad experience, listening to what I had to say and offering to refund my treatment. The owner was very pleasant and had customer service at the top of her mind. If I am in town again, I will come back based upon the owners response, but will ask for a different therapist. My massage therapist, Ashley, was there to greet me when I walked in the door. It was a welcoming environment with cute decor. They have a nice waiting room and selection of beverages for before and after your massage. Ashley has skills. She's been doing massage for 10 years, and you can tell. Very strong hands, very knowledgeable, and we had a pleasant conversation (I like to talk during massages). She massaged muscles that other massage therapists don't seem to bother with. It is easy to see why Ocean Day Spa is so highly rated! They were very flexible in accommodating changes leading up to my appointment. I initially had booked a package (in July 2019), so that I could have a massage once a month through the end of the year using my FSA account and a doctors note. This ended up not working out as seamlessly as I had hoped to no fault of the spa, simply because of the rules of the FSA account. Ocean Day Spa was generous to refund the package price that I could no longer use for the intended reason. I decided to book a single massage 80-minute massage with Ashley. My massage was wonderful, Ashley was great at communicating with me throughout the massage to make sure that the pressure was what I wanted. Very relaxing environment and friendly staff. This was our first rod trip and first massage since COVID. Narrowed our search for a couples massage to 3 and ultimately the 5 star reviews won out! We arrived a few minutes early as requested and quickly got shown to our room. (They didn't ask if we needed to use the bathroom or hydrate which is the norm whenever we've gotten a massage and we've had ALOT. (Maybe this was COVID related). We got ready and waited 10 minutes past our start time for our therapists to come in. That didn't start this appt off so well. Let me say, they did finish the total 90 minutes (almost ). The massage was excellent. I had Kevin and my husband had Kelly. We were both very satisfied. The pressure was firm but perfect. The massage was done in 'layers'. First over all massage with covers on, then continued massage with just a sheet , then skin on skin, then with oil. It was a really nice way to progress (never had all those different layers before ). We also had the hot stones. Often when we have had them, the are place on your back and maybe massage a bit. After laying the stones all over my back with a heated towel, he took stones with oil and massaged down my back. He did this several times and it was amazing. Okay I should stop. Needless to say I am going to continue the trend with 5 stars. Friendly staff (therapists and front desk). Easy to make an appointment. Love ODS! Been coming here for at least over two years. Love the convenience of it being near my work so I can pop in on my lunch or after work for a wonderful 50 minute massage. I just had their monthly special- the coconut lemongrass exfoliating massage and it was amazing! Those are two of my favorite scents! I get a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and they always do a good job of helping relieve it. I don't spoil myself often, although I certainly should! Today I took the day off work to pamper myself and booked a microdermabrasion, eyebrow waxing and a massage. I called in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in for the afternoon, which was pretty cool. Virginia did my microdermabrasion and my eyebrow and she was amazing. I had never done that before so she explained everything step by step. She's very knowledgeable and has the softest touch! My eyebrows look great but I cannot speak for the treatment yet because it takes some time... But the skin feels so smooth! I love it. Ashley was the massage therapist and she was also amazing. Got exactly what I needed, which was getting rid of ginormous stress knots I have on my back and hit the spot with the right pressure. I left that room walking on air! The spa is small but very cozy, clean, peaceful. I left that place in such good mood!! The prices were really good too, compared to what I had seen around, especially for the facial part.
