Eight days ago I had a fill, and if my daughter hadn't been coming to visit, I would have gone back to request a redo. I've been having my nails done for 40 years and have never had them lifting and my cuticles torn, especially within a week. I don't even want to go back to have them redone. I requested my regular tech twice and both times another person was assigned to me without notice. I later found out she was having a baby, but no one told me. The last they gave me was absolutely the one that caused me never to go back. I went here one time and my nails looked amazing. Then I went back a few weeks later and they looked great but a few days later one fell off so I went back in Monday and the did an acrylic nail when I had gel x. then they couldn't find the polish color.so they didn't put any base polish on. so they just used the crome and it wasn't even the right crome and the shape was so bad. My sister-in-law and I went to Ocean Nail for a manicure. We had different manicurists but our manicures were both terrible!! Rushed through it took about 12-15 minutes, old nail polish that was clumpy, ragged nails after being filed. I think the people in Wells Me are being taken advantage of by this nail salon. If you have never had your nails done properly you wouldn't know. I hear to tell you run don't walk away from this place. I've traveled all over the country and have never experienced a nail salon this bad. The pedicure was not done well. I had to ask her to scrub my feet and remove the dead skin. My brow wax is terrible see photos. One bow edge is almost gone. And when I ask her to correct them she said " they look good and walked out. When I got to the car in sun light my nails are a mess. Very sloppy job, some are bulky, filed incorrectly. Wow all around horrible job. I asked him to correct my nails, he took a file and begin what I can only describe as torture. Stopped him and walked out. this is what my nails looked like after 2 days! i went in with my 5 year old granddaughter for pedi and mani. It was not good at all, they rushed through my granddaughter's so fast, her fingernail polish and the poor excuse for a flower were gone in a day! The owner and his wife are very accommodating. They are friendly and listen to what you want. They try very hard to give you exactly what you want no matter how fancy a design. My granddaughters and I get appointments that are always kept on time. They are clean and take the necessary time to do a really thorough job. I'm very happy with their service and result. This place is a complete 10 out of 10. Went here after getting a terrible job done somewhere else(at The Maine Mall. The guy was literally farting on us) and these angels totally fixed me up. I have now been back for the third time because they do such a nice job. I typically can walk right in and be accommodated right away! The people are also very friendly and you can tell that they care, unlike a lot of other places that just want to rush you out. The facility is nice/clean on the inside and the equipment is also in nice condition. The pedicure chairs give you a decent massage unlike some other ones I've used. I would highly recommend this place as you'll leave feeling like a total rainbow angel baby !!!!! read more

My friend and I went while on vacation here. I got ANC and extensions done. The lady that did my nails was very nice but made a lot of mistakes while doing them. She sanded them to much and it hurt my nails bed. The lady that did my friends nails was terrible. My friend had long nails and had one broken one and asked for an extension on it. Instead of putting an extension on the nail, she cut all of her nails short and put no extensions on any of them. She also forgot to put top coat on one of her thumbs, and made her cuticles bleed by trimming them too short. I think the nail techs at this place are just inexperienced. read more

Horrible experience. It was my mothers birthday and we came in for a relaxing pedicure. I was so rushed and my toes looked like a child did them. Half the nail wasn't painted and the paint was all over my skin. I asked them to fix it and they barely took off the excess paint. I will not be going back here. read more

I have to say I rarely write reviews, but this salon was terrible. My pedicure left me with large fishers on my heels. He was using a very large "cheese grater" and I asked if everything had been sanitized. They said yes, but it didn't look like it. Now my heels are very painful to walk on. I'm crossing my fingers that I don't get an infection. I am sure the man doing my pedicure did not know what he was doing. I had a dip fill and 5 of my nails chipped and/or broke with in a couple days. I have never had that happen and I have been doing dip for years. The polish has basically all peeled off too. Got a spa pedicure here yesterday. Was in and out so quickly. Terrible job. Still had calluses on my feet and polish was all uneven.

They fit me right in, beautiful salon, not as sanitary as it could be with tools but definitely not the worse I've seen, I got a full set and a pedicure, they did NoT honor they $5 dollars off if you check in on yelp. Worst pedi and mani ever. Pedi was 15 minutes and the paint started chipping 2 days later. I can usually go 4 weeks between pedis without chips. Dip mani was not great either, the nail tech burned my nail beds several times with the drill and was really rough. Dip should last 2-3 weeks, mine began to chip after just a couple of days. Never again, I gave them a chance because they are new, but would not recommend you do it. Go to Best Nails in York or Nail Creations in Wells. TheNail Spa in Kennebunk is great too. read more

I found myself at Ocean Nails and Spa due to a time constrain't situation. I read the reviews and thought there were more good than bad, so I'd give it a try. I did make an appointment, which was very easy and the man who took my call was very polite. When I arrived I chose my gel polish for my toes and the dipping powder for my nails. I specifically said that I had gel on my toes. The water was already drawn for my pedicure and I started to put my feet in. The man doing my pedicure said, 'oh, you have gel?' And told me to put my feet on the towel. He proceeded to remove my gel polish while my water swirled below me. After removing my polish, he told me to put my feet into the cold water, then took them out almost immediately. That was the extent of my spa pedicure. He did wash my feet and clip my nails, and rubbed my legs, without the benefit of the spa. Of course I was charged the full price for a spa pedicure, plus the $10 for gel polish removal. I also did get a manicure with dipping powder. My nails were all cut down, at my request. They are all different lengths and were filed unevenly. The dip powder was done fairly well, with few bubbles or ridges. However, the dip did not go all the way to my cuticles, so instead of getting 3 weeks from one manicure, I already need another one, one week out. So, lesson learned. I will not take the easier route next time. read more

Asked for basic pedicure and regular manicure when I arrived. Total should have been $40 for both. When getting pedicure they tried to hand me a menu to up sell their services. I did not take the menu and reiterated that I just wanted the basic pedicure. During pedicure he asked if I wanted gel manicure. I replied no that I just wanted the regular service. Normally I do my own manicures at home, but today I felt like a little splurge. After pedicure I ended up getting the gel manicure. Because I usually do my one fingernails, I didn't realize until part way through that he was doing the gel manicure even though I had told them only the regular. When I received my bill is was $72.00. When I questioned the bill, the man at the cash register said he must have misunderstood. I said how do you misunderstand a regular pedicure? He said I got the towels so that was a deluxe pedicure. I ended up having to pay for the deluxe pedicure. On top of everything, my nails were cut super short and don't even look as good as when I do them at home. Never again will I patronize this business. read more
