Planned to go to Parigi for a birthday celebration, but the reservation never went through. We called to confirm that day for Saturday night and they did not have the reservation. Five minutes later they called back with a cancellation so we were able to get in and had a great dinner and celebration. I had the classic Jacob burger with a Caesar salad, which was very good. Others raved about the French onion soup. We also had the chicken au Poivre and a couple of orders of the gnocchi. Everyone loved their meal. The dining room was small, but well controlled and was not noisy despite its size. Service was great and I had an amazing view of the small kitchen watching the magic happen. read more

We tried Parigi's for the first time from a recommendation. Well it was a great Recommendation! We walked into this beautiful restaurant and was greeted by many friendly people. Kayla was our waitress and boy was she GREAT! She welcomed us to the restaurant and made several suggestions and explained every item on the menu that she recommended. It was great to have someone like Kayla for she made us feel welcomed and set the tone for a great lunch. Bread to the table was so good !! I had Chicken Risotto and it was perfect meal. Wife had Lobster knuckle sandwich which was very good as well . We enjoyed our meal then Kayla made several suggestions for desert and we settled on the buttermilk pie!!!!! Cute little place on Oak Lawn that has indoor and outdoor dining. I ordered the burger with a salad and it was excellent. The Cesar salad is one of the better Cesar salads I have had. The burger was delicious. It was cooked exactly as requested and it tasted amazing. For me, the quality of the bread bun is almost as important as the burger and I really liked the bread here. Visited Parigi for the first time a few days ago. I thought it was Italian simply based on the name, but it's DEF French! Had escargot which was pretty classic. Could have used a little more seasoning, but otherwise, was delish. Tuna Niçoise salad and Trout Buerre Blanc were both quite tasty! She knew the menu from top to bottom, including the specials, and took our order without writing anything down. 5/5 Food: Appetizers: Snack Trio and Grilled Artichokes. The snack trio came with Empire Baguettes with Basil and sun-dried tomato tompanade. I preferred the tomato tompanade as a spread over the basil. There were not enough baguettes to use the leftover spread, too. 2.5/5 The Grilled Artichoke was nothing spectacular. It was what it was. 2/5 Entrees: Grilled Veriasso Salmon and Omelet Beef Tenderloin. The Grilled salmon was cooked very well and was very tender and juicy. The sauce ok. 4/5 The beef tenderloin omelet was quite lacking. The omelet was very dry and was not seasoned at all. The tenderloin was juicy but lacked any seasoning. First of all, let me start off by saying that I'm that SOB who will complain if things aren't on point. After a recommendation from a friend, I tried Parigi while visiting Dallas. I was warmly greeted by a very charming young lady and invited to seat at the bar or at a table. I chose a seat at the bar since I was solo. Another young lady behind the bar greeted me and could not have been more professional, informative, and friendly. She recommended a glass of wine based on the meal that I was to order. I ordered the chicken au' poivre......PERFECTION! I had a side of their homemade hot sauce and this too, was PERFECTION. I loved everything about this French-styled restaurant. Be aware if you order to go here! I made a to go order, they took my credit card, there was no iPad for me to approve the charge beforehand. They handed the food and receipt. Then I found out they added 20% tip on my to go order on their own without telling or asking me! I called them and they said that's what they do. I requested for that reimbursement, at least they sound friendly enough and agreed to reimburse that. I am not sure how likely I will return with this experience, at least not a to go order for sure. read more

Came here this weekend after getting a gift card for Christmas. Reservations were a bit difficult it directed us to send an email and once we did we never got anything back for two days, when we had called they had limited left open since it was now Thursday and we were trying to book for Saturday. We got something later then wanted but was able to make it work. We started with a bottle of wine and the crab dip. The crab dip was tasty! It didn't come with enough bread though and our server took away the rest of the dip without asking if we wanted more bread or to take it home. For the entrees I got the spring seafood pappardelle which was delicious! Lots of seafood and great flavor. My boyfriend got the North Carolina trout which was great the potatoes were oddly under done but tasted really really good so we weren't sure if it was purposeful or not. I visited Parigi upon a recommendation from a friend. This restaurant is small and trendy so I do recommend making reservations. The restaurant looked full and we were dining on a Thursday! The menu is French-inspired and there was enough menu diversity to satisfy everyone in our group. The chef did a great job pairing flavors and textures up. We always pass this location, and we only live 3 min away. First on the list is the deviled eggs, which are crab aji and ricotta; it has an exciting flavor new to me. It's not bad, but the flavor is enjoyable. I do feel like it was missing something but not sure what. I also got the frozen French 75; for food, I had the chef's choice burger. The burger is changed daily; this one was avocado mozzarella and red onion with fries. Everything was cooked deliciously, the fries I loved. I also had the delicious seafood pasta and fish. Everything was cooked deliciously. Our waitress was just great. She was kind and attentive. I recommend sitting outside, especially on a nice day, it's very relaxing. I've been looking for a French-style restaurant in the area for some time now but still haven't quite found it. I happened to learn about this place and decided to give it a try. Reservations are a little different - sure, you can call, but this is 2024. I don't call anybody! You send them a request via their website and you have to add a little note asking for the reservations. Kind of quaint I think. I got an email and phone calls a day later telling me my reservation was accepted. Do I feel special, or is this some kinda gimmick? Anyhow we arrived on a Saturday evening and it's busy. Not a large place and it's on a super busy street. We lucked out and found a free parking spot nearby so, score one there. There's no valet - we kind of expected one based on the vibe we were getting. We were seated immediately at a two top against the wall right by the bar. I'm looking out onto the street, my wife facing inside. She had the better view. My view, and this is typical here, was upon some homeless people / vagrants / rando kid with only boxer shorts on running around across the street. Ah, Paris. Inside - the bar looks nice but the rest feels very HomeGoods to me. White walls, some big signs or large works of "art". It didn't feel cozy or intimate, really. Very loud. Popular place. Another thing about the area is the gentrification. It's palpable here in Dallas and here is another prime example; trendy place right across from some guy only wearing boxer briefs parading and yelling for hours straight. Ah, Dallas. Moving on. The food. We ordered two drinks. Waiter who delivered one spilled a ton of one on my wife, so, that sucked. No offer of another drink nor any offer to clean or anything really. At least my sidecar was in one piece and excellent. We ordered the Portobellini Fries. I didn't know these were fried mushrooms, which is fine. We loved them. For some reason I thought these were going to be regular fries. But anyhow these were good. I had the Fregola Sardi for dinner. It was a lamb-pasta dish. It was, okay. I didn't get the tomato-butter bit, but there were a lot of boiled cherry tomatoes in it, which I'm not a huge fan of. The sauce killed that lamb - you couldn't really taste the meat and the sauce was only ok. I wouldn't recommend this one. My wife had the Summer Pappardelle which she loved. It was excellent. But again, the menu said this had "blistered tomatoes" in it but - more of the same boiled cherry tomatoes in it, some not yet ripe. But, the sauce, the seafood, the excellent noodles - this was a hit. -- On our way out I said thanks to our servers and waved to the mostly nude entertainer across the way and wondered why I ever leave my house sometimes. It was ok. It felt like a trendy place - lot of rich white people who live in the area seem to congregate here. If you're going here, it's all right but I don't know that I'd recommend it or even ever go here again. It just wasn't a standout place to me. - Oh there was a guy sitting at the bar with a small dog in his lap. That was like the only real French thing about the place! read more

Great patio and people watching with some tasty eats. My lunch partner and I decided to have a fancy lunch on a weekday -- gotta celebrate everyday right? We stopped in without a reservation and were quickly greeted and seated out on the patio. It overlooks a pretty busy street and there are tons of opportunities for people watching at the restaurant and the folks walking around. The service was amazing. The dishes are plenty big and the drinks are tasty. The only small recommendation is for them to use big ice on the old fashioned -- small I know but I'm an ice snob when it comes to my cocktails! The plates were both so big that we had to take leftovers home! My partner got the fish and I got the seafood pasta. Plenty of decent size lobster chunks along with shrimp. This was SUCH a charming little restaurant with such an intimate atmosphere! The waitstaff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the crab dip and the baked garlic. Both were excellent and the baked garlic was beautifully presented with a whole head of baked garlic broken apart in such a way as it appeared that the shimmery little garlic cloves just poured out on to the plate. Just spread the garlic on the toasts with the melted Brie; and HEAVEN!!!! Next we tried the okra salad and it was a real standout! I loved it so much that I duplicated it at home. So delicious with a bright and zippy dressing. I finished with the Seafood Pappardelle that did not disappoint with obviously homemade pasta loaded with rich buttery lobster, shrimp and crab. I normally get one of the fish dishes that has always been excellent, but today I wanted a risotto, which the chef changes as the ingredients dictate - and what a treat! Rich and Luscious! First and foremost, our waitress Tierra was absolutely fabulous. She was perfectly knowledgeable about the menu and any question we had regarding it. I was contemplating the wild boar Bolognese, as I'm not particularly fond of gamey meat. She assured me I wouldn't be disappointed and she did not steer me wrong.. Needless to say, it was delicious, as was the risotto and mushroom frites appetizer. Other than the service, the restaurant itself has a great vibe and the interior is spectacular. Janice noooooooo! For years I ate lunch here 2 to 5 times a week- my office and a gym I part-owned were just across the street. Service, food, and ambiance were top notch. And even before Janice took over with her awesome chef skills this was one of my frequent favorite haunts. I've literally brought DOZENS of friends and guests here over the years. After 2 separate negative experiences here I'm very saddened to say anything negative. Sigh. Here goes: 1. A Saturday evening, I stopped by to grab a couple of drinks and appetizer or two. No sign on the door, nothing to indicate a private event. The place was lively, people were table hopping, and I spoke to a friend for a second, who told me it was a post wedding party, and as we chatted, the bride came by, I apologized for walking in, and she told me "please don't even think of leaving, grab a drink, and celebrate with us!" She introduced the groom to me, and he was very gracious and told me to please stay and have a few drinks! I decided to have one drink, then leave. Imagine my disbelief and astonishment when Robert, the manager, grabbed the drink from my hand, put his hand on my shoulder, said this is a private party, and literally guided me PHYSICALLY out the back door! Robert had been one of my regular, frequent servers for years, always treated cordially (and always tipped 25-30 percent) by me. I was overwhelmed with dismay, but I respected his 'order' for me to leave, and quietly exited. My visits to Parigi were subsequently far less frequent, but still every week or 10 days. 2. During Covid, and after a devastating accident crossing (walking) the street in which a kid texting ran over me with his car, and 13 broken bones, brain injuries, and multiple surgeries, I moved to far north Dallas to be near my medical providers, and recovered well. But I drooped out of my daily restaurant visits, as I spent a year in a wheelchair. Yesterday, I decided to add Parigi back! What a difference! The server was indifferent and barely listening to my order. So I wasn't surprised when my grilled chicken club salad came out with fried chicken. Grease all over the greens. I politely and smilingly reminded her I ordered grilled chicken. She swept up my plate without a word. The chef gave me an unmistakable annoyed look as she handed my plate to him. I waited a long, long time for the chicken to be cooked. It came out on the same bed of greens, which were by now wilted, still grease covered, and all this was hidden by the addition of more honey mustard dressing, (drenched) which luckily I love. I was one of 3 tables in the place, so I was perplexed as to why my server never checked with me to see how it was. She stood with her back to the restaurant and chatted with the chef the remaining time I ate. And btw, the grilled chicken was overcooked and dry. Luckily it was smothered in the fantastic honey mustard dressing! Lol. I had to ask for my check and an iced tea refill. Funny, she swept that check up within 2 minutes, tops. I'm sad as can be. I've had a decades long love relationship with this place. Won't be a frequent visitor ever again most likely. read more

I met a good friend for dinner last night. I just realized I've never left a review. This is easily one of the spots I know will always serve me a delicious meal. Started with cocktails and the crab dip. Moved on to the Brussels sprouts salad. So far two tasty courses. My main was the seafood pasta. Shared a bottle of Brunello with my friend. The pasta was so good. The Brunello paired well. We finished up with the blueberry apple pie. The crust was so thin. Such a good dessert. We sat and talked all night, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating, the space is great, and the patio was open last night. Can't beat Dallas in February. Hope the restaurant team actually reads this review. Been coming to Parigi since I moved to Dallas in 2007. Husband and many friends have been coming here since the 90s. Parigi has always been a staple in our restaurant rotation with food and service always reliably amazing. We went about a month ago and all our favorite dishes have been "updated" by the (new?) chef. They were not just unfamiliar but actually bad. Not just so-so, but bad. No one at our table finished their food. The waitress said she had been receiving complaints about the "legacy" menu items and said "I guess everything has to be updated at some point". Why mess with amazing? Not sure when we'll be back but may give it another try purely out of respect for the decades (!) of fantastic food and service. Hopefully they'll have reverted to the original preparations. If not, unfortunately it's au revoir Parigi. read more

Hubby & I love this cute little place. When we stay at The Daisy Polk inn we usually walk over & have lunch/dinner & vino. They have very nice lunch specials & very creative euro/Americana dishes. Specials change all the time. The Chef is a very talented young man from Italy that knows his stuff. They usually have great seafood dishes which I LOVE. The halibut is very nice. I love a nice Coconut burre blanc & he nails it. Patio is fabulous in good weather. The wine list is superb. Highly recommend. read more
