Over the years, we have eaten at this restaurant and been pleased with our meals. However, in the last couple of years, things have changed. I have ordered take out twice. After arriving home, (which is 30+ minutes from the restaurant) I discovered some of our meal was not in the bag. The first time, I chalked it up to a fluke. This last & second time, I called right away & was told by the girl answering the phone, that 'it is ok. Maybe they ran out of the item or something.' My familynhas eaten at this busoness for over 13 years. It use to be amazing. Die to staff/ coom change our order has been wrong the last 2 times we have ordered. Not only has the food been wrong we have been missing items. When I call to ask them about it Im onlynl confronted with a person who argues with me! I feel this place use to be amazing but it has gotten to the point where I will not order from them again! Best decently priced Chinese food in Chehalis! Every time I visit family and friends back home I never skip town without stopping by here! I get their almond chicken every time and each time I do, I think I'm more satisfied. The leftovers last for daaaayyyss. The servings are heaping. I even brought my parents here one time, and they're super picky and high maintenance. Now they only eat here for Chinese! The staff is friendly and their English is great lol. Egg soup is bomb. With drop in "booth" seating and marks on the carpet from the cubicles that previously occupied the space, this enchanting restaurant features mystic music from a CD player which can almost always be expected to skip and then be paused... Leaving the atmosphere lacking. If you need to go to the bathroom, hold it and use one at a gas station. The mold around the sink will cause anaphylaxis. read more

Been to Ocean Sky, many times. Menu hasn't changed in 7 years. Food is consistently good and the first choice of Chinese food. Favorites are always the Mongolian beef, sesame beef, and Kung pao whatever. Only thing here is that they are conservative on adding spices, spicy to them, means mild to me... read more

By far our favorite Chinese and our family's favorite dinner choice. The flavor is good and the portions are more than ample. Even in San Francisco's China Town we did not find Chinese that we enjoyed as much as Ocean Sky. What's wrong with people? This is a Mandarin restaurant and not even good Mandarin food. Everything is greasy - even the chow mein. Come on. Don't give high ratings to a place with such awful food. We did a to go order and they not only messed up our whole order but when we tried getting it replaced, the worker and manager were extremely rude and simply just had awful customer service. Is there a way to rate zero stars? We stopped by this restaurant because my family and I were craving restaurant quality Chinese food. Hot tea, yumm.. Egg drop soup was pretty good. Egg roll was weird looking but tasted alright. I ordered a sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and chow mein and my husband ordered the same but with pork. When these dishes came out, the only thing in my head was "WTF?" I was expecting lo mein noodles but that was my bad but their chow mein and fried rice looked so jacked up i was confused on what we had ordered i have never seen chow mein looking like drugged up pretzels with undercooked celery? Seriously?! Chow mein does not look like that. Mind you, my toddler kids LOVE fried rice and noodles of any kind but they refused to eat any of the food that was on the plate and we were starving! My two year old is a great eater who loves absolutely everything but yelled out "no no no!" when I tried to feed him a second bite of the fried rice. I let the server know that we wanted fried noodles and he explained that it's called lo mein and didn't bother to at least switch it out for my kids but told me its my problem and no one complains about their fried rice or any of their food. I walked away after no compromising on anything and figured out these Chinese people doesn't care about satisfying their customers, kind of typical. Panda express, the fast food Asian food is ten times more flavorful than this restaurant. And it's Sad to even have to compare panda express to a restaurant. Food is terrible except their soup, service was slow, server was rude. Owner was careless I would not recommend this place especially for Asian people who KNOW what Asian food is supposed to taste like. I don't know what Lee H. was smoking but he is definitly all wrong. My friend and I went for lunch, the picture on line was exactly what we got, chicken and brocalli. We ate til we were full, it was couldn't have been more perfect, over half of my lunch was stil left. It was SOOO good. My friend had a beef plate and had the same experience. Been in here a number of times these past couple months and the quality of food, as well as service, keeps bringing me in. So when my friends and I were trying to think of a place to eat tonight I instantly offered this place, and we were not disappointed! Great food at a fair price. Fair because it is pretty low cost for the quantity of food served. $8-11 for a heaping plate. And the food is prepared and served quickly. The hostess and servers are very pleasant and helpful. All the food that I, and others I have dined with, have gotten have all tasted great! Not once have I complained about the food I was served. But to say their Lo Mein is "great" would be an understatement. The Lo Mein is phenomenal in my opinion; best in town, or neighboring towns. Been going to OceanSky since I was a kid, of all of the chinese places I've tried all over, Ocean is always the best. The food is so good and the waitresses are so sweet they know our orders before we even sit down. They are familiar with locals and have fun relationships with them. If you ever have a problem with anything, all you have to do is tell them nicely and they will make sure to fix whatever it is that you are needing. Best Chinese anywhere! Favorite spot ever. However, I do think they should try to use some of their profits to slowly start renovating the place and giving it a face lift! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. It was me and my families first time eating here on our way through Chehalis. The staff was nice, and seemed pretty clean. We ordered an appetizer, and our food. We got our appetizer and the meat was GRAY! Like it was old meat. We were kind of grossed out at the time but we still waited for our food. We get our food and it was an ENORMOUS amount of food. Like 3 meals on one giant plate. Everything was yellow, gold color and tasted disgusting. We told the waitress that we weren't satisfied with our food and would like a refund. (We only took a few bites each). She got instantly pissed. She told us that no one has ever complained about there food. She then turns around to the people across from us, and asks them if their food was okay. They replied 'yes'. She turns back to us and says "see, they like their food, there's nothing wrong with it" in front of everyone. By that time we're pissed. My mom demanded a refund and they refused. We were not going to pay $45 worth of food we didn't eat! So the waitress called the manager and they paid close to half. It only took 20 minutes of standing there arguing with her. Although the food was good, the service was not. I am getting married in June and need to find a restaurant in the area to order food for 200+ people. A friend of mine recommended Ocean Sky. I travelled from my home town to Chehalis with my fiance and future sister-in-law for the purpose of trying this food. Although our food was good and served quickly, our waitress was extremely rude. As we were about to leave, I was transferring my food to the styrofoam container. The waitress snatched my plate out of my hands and said "I'll do it, you're making a mess for me." I have never been treated this poorly by a waitress in my life. Not only did she leave me feeling bad that I "made a mess," she made me extremely embarrassed in front of my future husband and sister-in-law. I felt like a child being scolded. I left this restaurant holding back tears. I will not be eating here again, nor will I recommend it. read more

Eat here all the time. Good service but the almond chicken is my only complaint. It just doesn't have enough flavor. They serve beer but no mixed drinks. They give huge portions which we love so we have left overs the next day! read more
