Server was disgruntled and unpleasant. I guess they don't have to be motivated to provide good service when the 20% tip is automatically added to your bill. Anyway, the food was terrible. Half the of meals were poorly made/seasoned or luke warm. Bread is not fresh like it used to be and if you want more than one slice of bread each--thats an extra charge. Disappointing, but the response was even more disheartening. It should not fall on the customer to come up with a solution to a problem you created.

Tyler, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. Be sure to make reservations! They open at 5:00 p.m., and because they're located near the beach, the restaurant fills up quickly with both locals and tourists. Three people in our party ordered the Shrimp and Scallop Piccata and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you choose the angel hair pasta, I'd recommend asking for a little extra sauce since the pasta tends to soak it up. I ordered the Blackened Seared Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo, and it was outstanding. The Alfredo sauce was rich, creamy, and silky smooth, perfectly coating the pasta and seafood. From the excellent service to the delicious food and relaxing atmosphere, Villa Palma is definitely a restaurant I'd recommend for date night or any special occasion. We'll definitely be back!

It has that cozy Italian feel that makes you want to settle in and enjoy a good meal. They're located in this strip mall, but walking in the restaurant made you felt like you were transported somewhere special. They started us off with fresh bread, olive oil, and Parmesan, which we appreciated. One thing I found a bit unusual was that salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes aren't automatically on the table. They do provide them, but only upon request--and it's a standard salt shaker with fresh cracked pepper. Not a big deal, but it feels like something that could have came out with the oil and Parmesan. We started with the calamari, which was nicely fried--crispy on the outside and mostly tender, though a few pieces leaned a bit chewy. The marinara sauce was straightforward and a bit plain, nothing that really elevated the dish. My wife ordered the shrimp pasta. It was decent overall, but when I asked if she would order it again, she said no--which kind of sums it up. I had the clams and linguini in a white wine sauce. The linguini itself was cooked perfectly, but the clams were rubbery, which usually points to being overcooked. The sauce leaned too sharp and acidic, lacking that balance you expect from a proper white wine sauce--typically finished with butter to round it out and bring everything together. That richness was definitely missing which added to a poor experience for me. Service was slower than expected. It took about 50 minutes to receive our main dishes after ordering, which felt long--especially for a reservation-only restaurant and we ordered seafood dishes which doesn't take long to make. Pricing also felt a bit high for what you get and sides are all à la carte, which adds up quickly without a noticeable bump in portion size or overall experience. If the food and service matched the ambiance, this would have been a much stronger overall experience. As it stands, it was decent, but it didn't quite meet my dining expectations given the pricing and reservation-only setup.

The calamari was fried light and crispy, not greasy, served with a marinara dipping sauce and a lemon wedge. The caprese used fresh mozzarella with a balsamic glaze drizzle. Clean, simple, done right. The fries were a simple side, golden and hot. Service was attentive and the setting felt like a proper neighborhood Italian spot. Make a reservation. We didn't opt for appetizers on this visit, mainly not to over do it. The fresh baked bread and olive oil/herb and garlic mix more than made up for that. That salad that came with the entree what so good and full of vegetables. Lettuce (of course) black olives, green olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, red cabbage, croutons with a vinaigrette that was the perfect blend. Our entree was the special of the evening, which was ground sausage bolognese rigatoni. This was a flavor bomb. Probably the best Italian dish I've had. If you don't go, you're missing a great meal.
