A million times NOOOOOOO! Check in was easy and the woman at the front desk was very nice. However, this is where the positive experience ended. We got to our room, which was fine, until the children in the room above us started jumping, running, banging on things, etc. This went on ALL NIGHT. From 2:45pm until around 10:30 pm when the lady at the front office finally agreed to call them. We had complained much earlier a couple of hours into it and she said we had to wait until 9:30, but that she was fine with US confrontating them and banging on the ceiling! However, it started right back up at 5:27 a.m. Nobody slept at all. We were all three delirious and complained again. At this point, somebody hadn't shown up for their room the night before, so we asked if we could have that room. We were moved and so happy! The first thing I did was go to take a shower and there was no hot water!!!! After about 30 minutes of waiting and turning the water on and off, it finally got scalding hot for a moment and I tried to quickly wash my hair, but the water pressure was literally dribbling and that made it impossible. Although, even that was better than the people jumping non-stop above our heads. Fortunately for us, at that point we were leaving the next day. Horrible, horrible experience. ******PLEAR READ BEFORE BOOKING A STAY WITH THIS PLACE****** I find it very interesting that I post a negative review regarding the manager and being miss treated regarding our Friday July 10th 2026 reservation and how the manager became aggressive torward me and rudely canceled my reservation when I nicely stated that she did not need to be rude. The managers response to my original posts stated as followed. "Respone from owner. We were not angry at all nor were our voices raised. You became very upset slamming our door as you walked out to find a public rest room as we do not have one on site for people to use. When you came back we explained to you that we needed your full reservation so that we could enter you into our system you slammed your hand written confirmation number down on to the front desk startling everyone one in the lobby. There were several witnesses in our lobby that could not believe your behavior. We do have it all on camera." I did respond advising that I was the only one in the lobby and I did also advise i too had it recorded as does priceline since I was still on the phone with them to resolve this issue. Again the manager was extremely rude and I simply told her just does not need to raise her voice and be rude as my first encounter with the front desk girls wearing couch glasses stated I just need the reservation information so on my second visit back i gave that to the girl. That is when the manager stated what good would that do we can not see your reservation. I guess again if you can not see it how can you cancel it. I then asked that the management provide me a copy of the video as at this point she is calling me a liar which she does to most people who write a negative review. I have since done some review and all people who have experienced no water or no hot water with no notification from the hotel should receive 100% the stay refunded. Also the people who have encountered bed bugs or bugs as well should have received their stay for fee. Their response has now been deleted good thing I have a screen shot. I now we be sending letters to several departments. First Washington state health departmen, second BBB third long beach city hall and last the general manager. Everyone will be cc and I will also be including the screen shots of other reviews regarding water, bugs and moldy food. . The Oceanview Inn @ the Arch in Long Beach WA is our go to place to stay when visiting Long Beach. The 3rd floor 2 bedroom suite is great! The room is clean and comfortable, and has amazing view of the beach, the staff is friendly and ALWAYS ready to help with anything you need. The only thing I wish they would change is to add a recliner for more seating options to the living room area instead of having one in the master bedroom. Very nicely renovated inside. Right on the beach. Price is great off-season booked online for $68 a night. I do have to say I don't know if I could stay here multiple nights. It is extremely noisy. I'm not sure if the people upstairs are jumping, walking, doing pole dancing. But it is very noisy. I can hear everything upstairs and I can hear everything in the parking lot. I would say easy fix with some ear plugs but then how are you going to hear your alarm that tells you you have to get up in the morning to go to an event? Amenities I would say there are none. Super stoked there is a refrigerator in the room. Television looks nice. It doesn't have a guide or anything like that but they did nicely give a channel listing. Super bummed that the bathtub does not actually seal so you can't actually really take a bath. But other than that the water pressure was very good. And a long-haired person like myself likes good water pressure. We will have to see how this continental breakfast is. The lady at the front desk did not really rave on what there might be. Although there will be hopefully coffee. The mini coffee maker in the room doesn't look the cleanest. Now to sit and chill. But I have to say if that person out in the parking lot doesn't stop banging whatever they're banging I am going to have to go out there and pretty please ask them to stop. They have been banging something in the parking lot outside the door for over an hour. WE spent 3 nights at $300.00 a night. We were very dissappointed with the service and the lack of oceanview. We spent extra money for the view. You had to squint to see any view of the ocean. I placed the card on the door for maid service. No service. The next day, I searched to the maid to get what I needed. Continental breakfasts were discontinued. at the end of our stay, my husband didn't see the fire hydrant protector and messed up his bumper. I really had mixed feelings about whether to rate this place three or four stars. From the outside, it looks pretty nice... It has a fresh coat of paint, and a possible recent remodel. Being about a block from the beach, it seems like the perfect spot to be. There was some aspects that made me feel a little unsettled. There were areas of the hotel that were dirt dirty (not just rundown or unkempt), and when I first entered my room, I spent a good five minutes doing pest-control and killing several bugs and mosquitoes that had somehow found their way inside. You could barely see the beach, even from my suite, and little things weren't done--like the previous occupants' ice bucket not being dumped-- that made me feel like I couldn't reallllllly trust this place. Plus, the laminate floors and stucco ceiling made it so that I could hear *everyone* in the hotel. The reason why I really wanted to give this place four stars was because of the *excellent* customer service I received in the lobby. The concierge was distinguishably professional, and more helpful then I could have imagined! The suite that I was upgraded to was ample, and had a kitchenette which came in handy! read more

Great place to stay. It's my second time staying here for the annual Kite Festival. The view is awesome! The rooms are clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The on-site manager is the best! Down to earth and straight forward. I love that! I will definitely be staying here again (not going through Priceline or the other Bandits) But booking early next year. Stayed here with my 80 year old mother, if she didn't have the energy to walk down to watch the kites we just relaxed at our table and looked at the view out the window. The proximity to the vendors and boardwalk is awesome. AND the festival offers a golf cart service, at no charge, to get mobility challenged folks down to the action. All in all, best place to stay at an affordable price for the Festival, or anytime really. read more

Honestly, for a hotel "on the beach" at $100/night for a Mother's Day weekend, we're pretty happy. Hotel is conveniently located "two blocks" from town on the main drive. Take a left at scoopers and there's a driveway right next to the arch for parking. Rooms look recently updated. New vinyl plank flooring in the entryway and bathroom and new carpet in the remaining living area. Fixtures and most furniture appears to be new or newer. We booked 3rd party but check-in was a breeze. Continental breakfast looks pretty simple. Waffles, cereal, coffee, some danishes. If you need a hot breakfast, they do have kitchen rooms or you can choose to go elsewhere for breakfast. It's a quick, short walk to town and scoopers on the corner doubles as a market if you need to furnish your room with any refreshments. Remember: You don't come to the beach to sit in your room. read more

This place was awful. They trash talked the super 8 stating their rooms were much better. We get in the room that smells funny and shut the door behind us. When we turn around the door has green spray paint all over it for some unknown reason. There is paint on the floor as well as the sink knob. In the bathroom there is a red glob of what appears to be blood and the toilet seat is severly peeling. On the wall in the living area we find small dots of red in a spray pattern. The mattress and box spring became exposed due to the sheets not fitting correctly. The once white box spring and mattress were now stained brown. On one of the beds there were multiple stains that looked like blood. The mattress cover also had similar stains. The box spring had a hole in it and looked/felt like it was 30 years old. This place was absolutely disgusting and doubt that it will even be in business much longer. Bring your own pillows, sleeping bags and anti bacterial bottles if you want to risk it. You might also research recent violent crimes in the area. Pretty sure someone was either murdered or killed themselves in that room...seriously. Super 8 is a great place if you are just looking for a cheap place to lay your head. Not fancy but is clean and practical. Or you can sleep in a dumpster-either one would be cleaner than the cedar inn. read more

The room itself was clean, beds were horrible, the showers were not good due to water pressure, and there was a lot of wear and tear on the doors. Nothing deal breaking. HOWEVER, at the price a decent bed and shower would have been nice. Maybe a continental breakfast, or even a coupon to a breakfast or coffee place? I dont know. Ok five stars here is why: 1. They have clearly built themselves up from nothing. Completely redone interior of the rooms. Everything is clean and modern. Yes, i have been in fancier hotels- but that isn't why i think they deserve five stars. 2. The staff. I felt like the crew really loves working together. They were so happy to help anytime i asked for anything at all. Sure i have been placed with more to offer-but amenities aren't everything. 3. The owner. I have been places where the owner has ruined my trip, but, here he is a reason to come stay here. We came out on memorial day weekend because it is our son's birthday and he loves the beach... We were down enjoying a cup of coffee and a waffle. He was chatting with everyone there making the visit feel like we were part of the family. He was warm, funny, charasmatic and helpful. Well my son announced it was his birthday, the owner asked what room we were in and i told him-i didn't think anything of it. We went out to enjoy our trip and when we came back-there was a birthday cake in our room from the owner. DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CARD INFO! **** They add charges! My gal pal and I booked a hotel for a girls trip to Long Beach, a nice relaxing get away for a night or so. After we left we noticed a $100 CHARGE on my friends card. We called the hotel and they told us it was a "smoking fee"?! The woman on the phone was absolutely no help what so ever. She just said they had "proof" and she will return the call the following day with more information. Never did we get a return phone call! Never did we get a REFUND on the $100 that was stolen from us either. Never once did we smoke in our hotel room! I have a medical condition and am of legal age, to consume marijuana.. when I feel the need to do so, we went for a private stroll on the beach somewhere secluded. Not to mention, that it's no ones business in the first place what anyone does in their free time. My friend brought her respiratory breathing nebulizer machine too and used it in our room! Clean, quiet hotel at a perfectly reasonable price. I honestly debated whether or not to leave a review, as I might lose my new-found secret vacation spot! The staff is fantastic. My original method of payment didn't go through, and the woman at the front desk 100% went the extra mile to make sure we kept our reservation. Packed to the gills for Labor Day weekend, but it was quiet and didn't feel crowded! Staff is very nice and accommodating, location is perfect. A short walk to the beach, the boardwalk, or to town. Rooms are well sized, beds are comfy, and rooms are CLEAN. (Seriously - no smudges, no crumbs, no bugs, no soap scum, no water drops... it's CLEAN). And EVERY ROOM FACES WEST. We took the advice of the lovely woman who checked us in and stayed in our room (instead of heading down to the beach) and watched the sun go down from our window. We had a stellar view of the ocean, and an AMAZING view of the gorgeous sunset. So many colors! Plus, in room heat or air conditioning was SUPER helpful! Also, early the next morning we saw deer, and a hawk (or maybe it was just a seagull) outside our window. This is 100% my favorite place to stay in Long Beach. Went over Labor Day weekend 2014 and got a 1 queen room (room 104)for $150 after tax/fees, not bad compared to most. Room was clean, front receptionist/manager friendly and nice also. Very close to beach and walking distance to everything. Large 50" tv in room and large fridge also, plus microwave. The door was annoying because it stuck when opening and shutting so had to force open and shut but that and sloppy painting inside is my only complaint read more

Quoted a 'Special rate' over the phone when we reserved, $179 for Sunday and Monday night! Double checked it was for the price for 2 nights and was told yes. Got to the hotel and was charged $399.80! Went online to find the room was $115 per night so actually got overcharged for this room without a view. Hotel lobby has what looked like a bouncer hanging out, not saying anything just staring and making us feel uncomfortable. Breakfast comes with the room, just don't go down before 8am. We stayed here for 4 nights. Nice rooms, terrible office staff. When we booked our stay, we thought we'd only need 3 nights and booked it directly thru the hotel. She said she could give us an ocean view room for the same price as a non-view room. I agreed and was told the price of $269 per night, which was WAY out of our trip budget, but we wanted to stay there because this was where our group booked. After checking in with the rest of our group, they were only paying $199 a night for a non-view room. I called the hotel back and explained, she changed our price to match theirs. We then looked on Priceline, and the rooms were going for $173 per night, so we added another night thru them. When we arrived, we explained how we had added one night thru Priceline and asked if we'd have to move rooms, or if we could just stay in the one room for the whole stay. She immediately said "no, I can't do that" without trying, or giving us any explanation. So we did have to check out of our first nights room, and move into another. Kind of a pain, and not very good customer service! Then, when we were loading our car on the last day, I accidentally left some items in the room, with the room key inside. I went to the lobby door and rang the door bell. She came to the door and asked "what do you need?" I said "I need a room key for 103" she quickly turned around, went and programmed a key and came back to the door. She slid it thru the door crack to me, and said in anger "don't ring that bell unless there's an emergency! I don't open until 8!" I looked over at the bell to see if there was a sign explaining when to (or not to) use the bell, but there was no sign. I walked away. Got my stuff, took a look at the time, it was 7:45 am, an average time for a hotel to be up and running. Terrible customer service, no one likes being yelled at! read more

We first attempted to stay here a few months ago when the former owners were in charge. So in July, we were a bit bummed when we found this was the only place to stay in our beloved Long Beach. We figured we wouldn't be in the room all that much, so it wouldn't be all that bad. I have to say I was impressed with the new owners, the lobby and the room. We booked through Bookings.com and didn't realize we weren't allowed to bring our dog (we brought her with us last time, and they said they could accommodate pets). Well, I was very appreciative they were willing to let us keep our dog in the room if we paid the pet fee. I thought the issue was done, but little did I know these guys don't understand the concept of what's done is done. When I checked out, I wanted to let them know how pleased we were with our stay and how much nicer it was than the last time we were here. Well, the guy reamed me a new one about having my pet. I totally understand the pet policy, and appreciated they didn't make me keep my dog in the car for the 16 hours we were there, but I thought guilt tripping us when we were checking out was a bit of a moot point. Now, that being said, I liked our room (especially the view) -- the linens were nice, the carpets clean, and even though the television was old, at least it was there. I have a feeling they are going to be replacing the televisions, as I saw a bunch of flat screen tv's in the office area. They do have a breakfast, although it is disappointing. They have waffles, which is great, but so does everyone else, and they have cereal, fruit and pre-wrapped pastries. I thought they could maybe include some toast or bagels - or just something more than the bare-bones they served. Maybe as the new owners get things figured out, these things will change. But first, I think they need to improve their customer service skills and they will be on their way to being pleasant. read more

Last minute stay during road trip, during late September, 2013. Very rainy and the room was not leaky. FYI. It was inexpensive, and a little run down. The management was very, very nice. Management was monitoring storm weather, and giving travel updates for safety. ( Typhoon) The room was large, it wasn't a luxury hotel, but a comfortable place to stay over. The view of the beach was good, and the sound of the waves and the night breezes was pleasant. People downstairs had dogs, so pets are allowed. There is a really large ice cream parlor just down the street, with about 100 flavors. Might be a nice place to stay with kids. read more

Our family reserved a total of 8 3rd floor rooms for an Uncles 90th birthday celebration. Although the rooms were clean and the view was wonderful, the manager at the desk made our visit less than spectacular. We had reservations for Friday and Saturday night, but we were delayed and didn't arrive until Saturday morning. Instead of explaining that it was policy to rent out your room if you are late for check in, the manager refused to give us another room and made us wait until 3pm to check in. Then this morning we had to wait to make our breakfast as he was making his. Me, my husband and two year old daughter stayed here for the kite festival weekend. It was my husbands first time in Long Beach so I wanted somewhere to stay right in town. It is a great location, within walking distance to everything. We had no problem checking in, I got really lucky and was able to book this room online a week before the festival. Somebody must have cancelled. The owners are very friendly and were very concerned about the man that was escorting traffic and people in front of the hotel. Lets just say he was very reluctant to let us in so we could park. They said we were not the only ones and were going to talk to him. I appreciated that. I don't understand how people can be so picky on here about the rooms. So there is soap and shampoo in a dispenser, who cares? So there was some bird crap on your window, it happens, get over it. The room was clean and provides everything you need for a stay. It even had a microwave which I was surprised by. We were able to watch the fireworks from our room, which was very nice. All in all it was a good stay. The only reason I would not give this 5 stars is because it is a little outdated compared to some of the other hotels. But with what it is working with 4 stars is fitting. read more

We were on a weekend beach trip with the kids and chose this hotel because it was literally steps from the beach. We arrived about 12pm and Check in was at 3pm. We went and played in the water and bbq'd on the beach and ended up checking in abt 4:30 or so. The room was decent & clean and we had an okay view of the water from the 3rd floor. I'm only giving this 2 stars because the beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. And, unlike other reviews, the tv was new. Beautiful view of the beach/ocean. Owner/manager (don't know what he was) was very pleasant. I'm giving them some benefit for the positives. However, it was just gross. The bathroom faucet handle was full of green mold, the shower head was very dirty, chairs and carpet was all stained (I wouldn't sit on the chairs), etc. End tables, dresser, things on the wall were full of 'stuff' that needed to be cleaned. I would not walk barefoot in the room. It was weird that they had prefilled things on the wall with soap and shampoo in the shower and lotion and soap by the sink...no way was I going to use it...I don't know what's in there. Breakfast wasn't anything special...waffles, cereal and wrapped pastries. The white, cloth bar stools at the tables were stained. During breakfast, the owner/manager was talking to some other guests about someone else who was high on drugs earlier the day on the property and was sent to the hospital. The guests were saying where she was and who she was with at night becuase she wasn't allowed back. My son and I walked past her twice. She and a man were hanging around the room I was in with my son as well as the room of my sister and family (she had 2 small kids). Not happy to hear about this. I would say without a doubt that there is no way I would ever be back. The bed and view are not enough to bring me back with the other problems. read more

I was hesitant to book this room based on reviews (here and on other sites), but I wanted somewhere within budget that was close to the water. So I took a chance......and it worked out! We arrived in town "late", it was approaching 8pm and most of the town appeared to have gone to bed already, which I wasn't expecting, but it was my first time in Long Beach. The friendly gentleman that checked us in suggested where to go that wasn't already closed, as we were starving. He joked that if they end up being closed, he'd share his dinner with us. The hotel does have a free continental breakfast, which was welcome. Free wifi, no problems connecting and staying connected. The rooms are outdated and the carpet is pretty bad. BUT! They're renovating! Some improvements are already in place - huge HD TVs, they're replacing carpet with laminate, new paint and exterior. One of the biggest non-suite hotel rooms I've been in. When they're done, this place will be a fab place to stay. read more

For anyone who is going to Long Beach, ever, I'd discourage you from staying at Oceanview Inn At The Arch . I was planning on a long weekend in March for a kite-flying clinic then covid happened and I cancelled. They wouldn't refund my money nor would they give me a voucher for a future stay. Coincidentally, all Long Beach hotels were ordered closed on the day I was to have checked out. Unbelievably bad move on their part as I'll continue for years to come to let people know about their greedy decision to keep my $220. Please don't support this hotel! read more

First off, I haven't even stayed here yet. So I booked a room on the 20th and tried switching the card i paid for it on. I was shown such narcissism and the worst attitude i ever experienced. I was simply trying to educate myself on how i could go about this because i paid for it on the wrong card and she just refused to be helpful at all. She claimed the manager was gone for 10 days which says to me she lying because it seems says that to everyone. After reading on the reviews on facebook, yelp i'm regretting my decision on the matter. read more

This hotel has a great location. During covid there is no coffee/bkfst or daily cleaning. Rooms we very clean. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Summer prices are high (to be expected) but,we enjoyed our stay. read more
